Palace Museum in Taipei
Located in front of a hill and surrounded by a garden, the Palace Museum stands out with its colourful architecture. It’s a must when you’re in Taipei. I spent an afternoon having looking at paintings and other artworks on display showcasing ancient times and history at every corner. It got a bit crowded after a while, but the museum is so big that you get easily immersed in special effects and interactive features. You can also buy souvenirs from the gift shop there.
Entrance ➡️ There is an entrance fee.
How to go ➡️ I took the MRT(that’s how the metro system is called in Taiwan)to Shilin Station 🚇 and then took bus 🚌 R30. The museum is across from the bus.

The Garden of the National Palace Museum in Taiwan
Address: No. 221, Sec 2, Zhi Shan Rd, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan 111
The garden of the National Palace Museum in Taiwan was truly beautiful even in winter. Walking through the serene landscape in the cold air, I could fully appreciate the charm of the garden despite the seasonal changes. The well-manicured trees and stone pagodas, along with the crisp winter air, made the walk feel even more refreshing.
There weren't many people, so I could spend a leisurely and peaceful time, enjoying the winter garden's atmosphere amidst the ancient Chinese ambiance. It was a meaningful time to savor the winter garden's charm.

Visit the Taipei Palace Museum to experience the charm of Chinese treasures.
The Taipei Palace Museum, also known as the Taiwan Palace Museum or the Taipei Palace Museum, is the largest museum in Taiwan and one of the eight scenic spots in Taiwan. It is also an institution for the study of ancient Chinese art history and Sinology. 💫📚✍ It is a must-visit place in Taiwan. 🔭 The Taipei Palace Museum is one of the cultural landmarks in Taiwan, with a large number of collections covering various fields such as calligraphy, ancient paintings, inscriptions, bronzes, jades, ceramics, etc.
The Taipei Palace Museum houses countless Chinese treasures. 😍 The Qing Dynasty meat-shaped stone and jadeite cabbage in Figures 1 and 2 are one of its precious collections. 🦋 Figures 9 and 10-The Taipei Palace Museum has collected three Northern Song Dynasty paintings that are praised as "heartfelt masterpieces"-Fan Kuan's "Travelers Among Mountains and Streams", Guo Xi's "Early Spring", and Li Tang's "Thousand Gorges and Pine Wind", which are "national treasures in the national treasures" that "jointly represent the golden age of Song Dynasty landscape painting" 🌸. There are too many national treasures to count and introduce. It is a place worth visiting and learning carefully to feel the power of cultural continuity 🎞.
At the same time, the Taipei Palace Museum also actively collects cultural relics and artworks worldwide. Secondly, regarding the architectural style and characteristics of the Taipei Palace Museum, it is a museum that imitates traditional Chinese palace-style buildings. The main building has 4 floors, with white walls and green tiles, and the main courtyard is plum-shaped. This architectural style reflects the integration of traditional Chinese cultural elements and modern design, making the Taipei Palace Museum a unique cultural venue.
🌟 In addition, the cultural and creative shop on the first floor of the Taipei Palace Museum is one of the best cultural and creative shops in China. It belongs to the kind of side one and side two. You must go. Various cultural and creative products are cultural, stylish and good-looking. Super nice💫

I made an appointment for the 2:30 explanation at the service desk on the left side of the first floor. The teacher explained for 2.5 hours. It was very exciting, especially for the unique cultural relics and market price predictions of the National Palace Museum in Taipei. estimate.

📍Taipei🇨🇳|A four-day, three-night solo travel log
Hi, welcome to cu's travel diary🙋♀️
After envying many bloggers who dared to travel alone, I decisively searched for Taiwan travel guides and embarked on a solo trip. It turned out that this trip was really worth it❗️A beautiful and healing journey is always worth remembering
✅Preparation before entering Taiwan:
🔹Apply for a Taiwan entry permit: Get a visa in about a week, print in color❗️
🔹Log in to Jinfuqi to register in advance, save the QR code🐎, and scan it at the airport
🔹Cash: Exchange some cash in advance, and basically use paper money for travel expenses.
🔹Data card: I bought a 10-day 10G card, which only has data but no calls
🔹Some essential apps can be downloaded in advance
✅Four days and three nights in Taipei:
✅day1️
📍Macau Airport👉Taoyuan Airport✈️, showed the entry permit, return ticket, and passport at🇲🇴, and arrived at the boarding gate in 40 minutes. After entering the country, draw a gold lucky draw at the airport. I didn't win, so I bought an ipass card at the counter on the left. It has the same function as EasyCard and can be used for transportation (buy a card for 100 Taiwan dollars, and recharge separately)
📍Ximending
✅day2
📍National Palace Museum
📍Memorial Hall
📍Taipei 101
✅day3
It is quite far from the city, so I signed up for a one-day tour on "klook". The service was very good except for the full English tour
📍Yehliu Geopark✨Get on the bus at Taipei Station at 7:45
📍Jiufen Old Street
📍Shifen Old Street
📍Shifen Waterfall✨17:30 Back to the starting point
Then go to 📍Ningxia Night Market to eat and drink
✅day4
Half-day tour of Tamsui Old Street
✅Food to eat
There are so many delicious foods that you can't stop eating
✅Accommodation: Book on "agoda"
✅Travel
🔹MRT🚇: Similar to the subway, no security check required
🔹Bus🚌
These two can basically meet all transportation needs
✅Safety: For girls, safety is very important. Although you can occasionally see some homeless people sitting on the streets of Taipei, they will not talk to passers-by casually. The overall feeling is very safe. People are very well-mannered and polite❗️

The National Museum of Taiwan
How could I have missed this place during my five trips to Taiwan? There's so much to see, with audio guides available, and some exhibits even have Thai language options. The history of the amazing ceramic bowls is captivating. You can walk around at your leisure, and it's conveniently located. The place is beautiful.
It's not difficult to get there from Ximending. You can take the subway and then a bus. After finishing the tour, you can walk to the Shilin Market for some shopping and dinner.

The National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan, houses treasures such as the Jadeite Cabbage, Meat-Shaped Stone, and Mao Gong Ding
Covering an area of approximately 16 hectares, the museum's architecture is modeled after traditional Chinese palatial structures, with a four-story main building featuring white walls and green tiles, and its courtyard is plum blossom-shaped. In front of the plaza stands an archway made of six stone pillars, inscribed with Sun Yat-sen's calligraphy reading 'For the world community'.
The collection includes Shang and Zhou dynasty bronzes, jades from various dynasties, ceramics, ancient manuscripts, famous paintings, and steles, all of which are rare treasures, with more than 700,000 items in the museum's collection.
The National Palace Museum in Taipei has three main treasures: the Jadeite Cabbage, Meat-Shaped Stone, and Mao Gong Ding. The museum also houses rare treasures such as the San Family Tray, 'Timely Clearing After Snowfall' by Wang Xizhi, 'Cold Food Observance' by Su Shi, 'Draft of a Requiem to My Nephew' by Yan Zhenqing, 'Early Spring' by Guo Xi, 'Huazi Ridge' by Fan Kuan, 'Yongle Encyclopedia', and 'Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature'.
The Jadeite Cabbage is a piece of the dowry of the Empress Consort Jin, wife of Emperor Guangxu, finely crafted with auspicious symbolism. Measuring 18.7 cm in length, 9.1 cm in width, and 5.0 cm in thickness, this nearly lifelike representation of a cabbage is carved from jadeite, with a familiar subject matter, pristine white body, and verdant leaves that feel both familiar and intimate.
The Meat-Shaped Stone measures 5.73 cm in height and 6.6 cm in width, and at first glance, it resembles a piece of freshly cooked Dongpo pork that seems to emit a fragrance. This stone has not undergone any carving and is a natural agate stone.
The Mao Gong Ding stands 54 cm tall, with a depth of 27.2 cm, a mouth diameter of 47 cm, and a weight of 34.5 kg. The inner wall of the ding is inscribed with text, 32 lines totaling nearly 500 characters, which is the longest inscription found on existing bronzes. The content is complete and detailed, earning it the reputation of being 'equivalent to a chapter of the Shangshu' and is an important historical document for studying the late Western Zhou dynasty politics.

The Taipei Palace Museum houses many relics spanning from various dynasties of China through thousands of years. Classifies o to diffetent catogories such as Religious artifacts, antiques, literature, stationeries, ancient relics etc, it really sparks interest for those who really loves history. You will be able to view various items used by the emperors from various dynasties (especially Qing dynasty) and various paintings, calligraphies from remarkable painters, poets etc. The museum is truly mesmerizing and one day is not enough to visit the whole museum, and we will need to make another trip here.

Trip to National Palace Museum
This museum is located in Taipei, Taiwan. It has many interesting ancient stories here with nice scenery covered in greenery and windy garden. I have been to this place about 2 years ago around Nov 2019 during my Taiwan trip . Weather was pretty good at that time. This was one of the place I enjoyed a lot. Thanks to the taxi driver who briefed me about this place . He is really fit to be a tour guide. Made new friends here. I had actually planned to visit Taiwan once again in Nov 2020 but due to this pandemic I had postponed to this year Dec 2021 but I don’t think travel is going to happen so soon . So I decided to post some of my previous memorable places that I have visited the in the past :)
To place is situated near Shilin Metro Station . Then from there I took a cab there .
