[2025 Taipei Attraction] Travel Guide for TAIPEI 101 (Updated Mar)

Today is my last day in Taipei! It felt like I was blessed with divine assistance, as I managed to visit all the important spots without missing a single one. Perhaps because I was traveling alone and didn't spend much time taking photos, my efficiency was super high. 🗺️Itinerary Starting from the Rainbow Taipei photo spot at Exit 6 of Ximending, I then went to Longshan Temple, followed by a visit to Xiao Wang Stewed Melon, which is very close to Longshan Temple. Next, I headed to Dihua Street, had lunch at Take Village Izakaya, went to Elephant Mountain in the afternoon, visited Taipei 101 in the evening, and ended my day at the Feminist Bookstore. ⚠️Notes Longshan Temple has a prayer guide, so don't worry if you haven't done your homework beforehand. Besides Take Village Izakaya and Elephant Mountain being great spots for photos with Taipei 101, the Taipei City Government location is actually better! (But I was lazy, and I already had a lot of content to post today, so I didn't go in the evening). The view from the top of Taipei 101 is similar to Hong Kong's Sky 100, so I didn't spend money on the observation deck. The Feminist Bookstore is a bookstore focused on feminism, so those interested can check it out. 💬Travel Thoughts I walked the entire way from Ximending to Dihua Street. Since I spent most of yesterday on transportation and didn't get a chance to walk around and explore, I missed out on many great little eateries. So today, I forced myself to take less public transport🚌. Strolling through the streets in the morning and hiking up Elephant Mountain in the afternoon in 30-degree heat, I can't remember the last time I pushed myself so hard, sweating profusely. 🍽️Food Experience The advantage of walking is that you can easily find small shops you want to eat and drink at. I tried Hong Rui Zhen sandwiches, Louisa Matcha Latte, 50 Lan Four Seasons Spring Tea, Xiao Wang Stewed Melon Pork Rice, and Fishbone Egg Cake. I basically ate everything I wanted in Taipei, and I couldn't fit any more food in my stomach. I hope to find even more delicious food at my next stop🙏.

Taipei 101 Observatory is a highly recommended place to visit for any visitor to Taipei. The observation deck on the 89th floor offers stunning 360-degree views of the city, and the building itself is an architectural marvel. The entrance fee for foreigner is about TWD$600 when u purchase on site at 5 th floor, upfront online pre booking may able to get better rate. The lift going up from 5th to 89th floor is very fast less than 35 seconds. Coming down is about 45 seconds. Total 3 floors to visit 89, 90 & 91. The floor 91 allows you to walk outdoors for 360 view, 91 floor may be closed subject to weather conditions.

We went to Taiwan specifically to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks display at Taipei 101. This event is an absolute must-see for New Year's celebrations in Taipei, and even in all of Taiwan. The best part is that because of the towering height of the 101 building, you can see the fireworks from surrounding areas even if you're not at the City Hall. Everywhere you go, you can find people counting down and sharing the joy of the New Year together. Two hours before midnight, we arrived near the building. There were already many people enjoying food from the stalls set up nearby. In addition to the fireworks display, there were also light effects that made the entire performance more lively. Performances by many famous singers made the New Year's Eve event even more exciting. The area near the stage was indeed very crowded, but if you just want to see the fireworks, you can avoid the area near the stage, as there are still great views of the fireworks from less crowded areas around. Overall, the stunning and creative visual effects of Taipei 101 are truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

1. Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Getting there - This is easily accessible by Metro as it is right outside the metro. Highlights - This is a huge area with the memorial, peace arch, parks and national theatres. The memorial itself is a huge complex with interesting exhibitions below and statue on top level. Overall, very good chance to learn about Chiang Kai Shek and Taiwan history Tips - You can go earlier in the morning as exhibitions opens at 9am but remember your sunscreen and umbrella. 2. Taipei 101 Highlights - Tall and iconic skyscraper of Taiwan that has many luxury shops inside the building. There are also many souvenir shops like Sunny Hills etc inside for gift shopping. Tips - You can also go to the nearby park near the city hall to have a full view picture with Taipei 101 and the rainbow. 3. Ximending Getting there - You can take Metro to nearest Ximen station. Highlights - Fun and vibrant shopping district from day to night. There are so much food and souvenir shops here. Don't forget to try the famous Ay Chung Rice Noodles and Xing Fu Tang's brown sugar milk. Options are endless here. Tips - Do visit the red house at Ximen which is a historic and photogenic building with crafts market and coffee house inside. 4. Raohe Night Market Getting there - Can reach there by Metro and then walking. Highlights - This is the best night market in Taipei in my personal opinion. The variety of food is great there and it's a huge night market. Many michelin bib recommended food like the pepper meat pancake, Yipinyuan rice balls to name a few. Highly recommended if you love street food.

On the 24th and 27th floors, circular and square patterns are used as mortise and tenon joints, symbolizing the operation of the universe - 'the circle represents the sky, as the body; the square represents the earth, as the function.' This design uses traditional wooden structure mortise and tenon methods to connect the upper eight buckets and the lower three buckets, highlighting the building's stability. All these are clever uses of information, aiming to convey a sense of completeness.

It even appeared to have a chopstick protruding from its roof to me. But that's just one of the numerous pictures it conjures up in people's minds. 6-day long weekend, where should we go? Tick tock...😳😳Let's go to Taiwan!!! Today, we will take you to Taiwan with a budget of no more than 16,000 baht per person!!! (I must say that we can't stop eating, we can't go hungry😜😜) This trip was focused on eating, lol. We checked in at important places and met a lot of Thais. Taiwanese people are very friendly. The city is very clean and orderly. Impressive. Even though the weather was a bit hot when we went, it was okay. 😄😄 My boyfriend and I flew for a round trip, which cost 7,400 baht per person. We stayed at a hotel near Ximen, which was very convenient. We only had one pass, which cost 280 twd for 48 hours, which allowed us to travel all over the city. We could go in and out of the MRT as much as we wanted. 555555 The hotel cost around 1,500-2,000++ because it is a famous area connected to the MRT, easy to travel. If you stay a bit far away, it will be a bit cheaper. The places we went to were the cat village, Shilin night market, Taipei 101, the colorful houses at Keelung, Ximending teahouse, Chiang Kai-shek memorial hall, Longshan Temple (spent hundreds of thousands on amulets 😄😄🎎🎋).
