If you come to Taiwan, there must be a lot of things you want to eat and places you want to go😆 For those of you who are so greedy, I have come up with a model itinerary that packs in a day of sightseeing in Taipei city☝️ For those who are visiting Taiwan for the first time🔰 ①Shuanglian area 📍World Soy Milk King 📍Shuanglian Morning Market Eat a good breakfast Taiwanese style and feel the Taiwanese atmosphere at the lively local morning market! ②Dihua Street area 📍Gao Jian Bucket Shop 📍Da Hua Xing Bamboo Wood Coffee Retro streets and a wholesale district lined with stylish souvenir shops, dried fruit and dried goods shops You can get the popular fisherman's net bag for cheap in this area!! The temple where the Moon Lao is located is said to bring good luck in love and family harmony, so be sure to visit it☺️ There are instructions in Japanese on how to worship! ③ Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Area One of Taipei's tourist attractions The changing of the guard ceremony has been abolished But the outdoor honor guard march is worth seeing✨ 📍Jinfeng Lu Rou Fan The nearby Lu Rou Fan restaurant has less star anise flavor So it's easy for first timers to eat! It's a popular restaurant and depending on the time, you may have to line up, but the turnover is fast👌🏻 ④ Yongkang Street Area 📍Lai Hao 📍Baishui Douhua A popular walking spot Buy souvenirs and desserts here😉 Each alley is lined with charming shops! ⑤Taipei 101 Area 📍Si Si Nan Village A market is held on weekends and it's often crowded! Surprisingly, this is a hidden spot where you can take beautiful photos of Taipei 101🤳 📍Din Tai Fung The popular Din Tai Fung at Taipei 101 usually does not accept reservations If you have to wait 100 minutes, it is more efficient to get a numbered ticket first and go to the observation deck on the 89th floor while you wait⭕️ You can check the progress at any time using the QR code on the numbered ticket 📍Taihu Xinyi Taiwanese craft beer store There are so many varieties that it's hard to decide which one to get! Because it's a standing drink outside, it's a beer garden every day🍻lol ⑥Songshan area 📍Raohe Street Night Market One of the biggest tourist night markets in Taipei!! Taipei 101 Observatory is a highly recommended place to visit for any visitor to Taipei. The observation deck on the 89th floor offers stunning 360-degree views of the city, and the building itself is an architectural marvel. The entrance fee for foreigner is about TWD$600 when u purchase on site at 5 th floor, upfront online pre booking may able to get better rate. The lift going up from 5th to 89th floor is very fast less than 35 seconds. Coming down is about 45 seconds. Total 3 floors to visit 89, 90 & 91. The floor 91 allows you to walk outdoors for 360 view, 91 floor may be closed subject to weather conditions.

This time, we went to Taiwan with the intention of taking it easy! A laid-back trip with light shopping, heavy eating, and a flexible itinerary that covers everything. Most importantly, the food was amazing, especially the spicy mala dishes! --- DAY 1 – Arrival in Taipei: Landmark Highlights + Strolling in Ximending After landing at the airport, we headed into the city and checked in. We started the day with a visit to Taipei 101, taking photos of the iconic skyscraper, browsing shops in the mall, and doing some light shopping. The atmosphere was great. In the evening, we strolled through Ximending Night Market, which was packed with food options. Despite the crowd, it didn’t feel overwhelming. Must-try items include bubble tea, fried chicken, and grilled meatballs! Dinner: We went all out at TAKEMURA IZAKAYA, a Japanese izakaya in Taipei. The food was delicious, the ambiance was fantastic, and it felt authentically Japanese. Highly recommended for sashimi lovers. --- DAY 2 – Spiritual and Natural Escapes We started the day at Longshan Temple, a famous temple in Taipei frequented by locals. After paying respects, we leisurely explored the surrounding area. Next, we ventured out of the city to Zhengbin Fishing Port Harbor, also known as the Rainbow Harbor. The colorful houses lining the harbor made for stunning photos, like scenes straight out of a postcard. Dinner: Our first mala hotpot experience was at Delectable Hotpot. The broth was aromatic and perfectly spicy, with plenty of ingredients and an exceptional dipping sauce! --- DAY 3 – Mountain Views and Vintage Charm We dedicated the entire day to Jiufen Old Street, a charming mountain village with a nostalgic vibe. We enjoyed local delicacies like Taiwanese glutinous rice balls, traditional milk tea, and tea house experiences. The mountain and sea views were breathtaking, reminiscent of scenes from "Spirited Away." Dinner: On the way back, we indulged in our second round of mala hotpot at Xin Mala Hotpot. This spot is popular among locals, offering rich broth, high-quality meat, and fresh ingredients. A must-visit for spice lovers. --- DAY 4 – Wrapping Up the Trip Before Heading Home Before flying back, we stopped by Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to take photos of the grand white building with its blue dome. The peaceful atmosphere and picturesque surroundings made for a pleasant stroll. Before heading to the airport, we did some last-minute souvenir shopping, wrapping up a trip that was both relaxing and fulfilling. ---

1. Today was another day of heavy rain 🌧️. After having breakfast with my girlfriends near the hotel, we headed to Beitou and Tamsui together. The rain was so intense that it was almost unbelievable. We took the Red Line from Taipei Main Station to Beitou, visiting the Hot Spring Museum and Thermal Valley. The large pool in the museum, especially the area by the window, was perfect for taking stunning photos! 📸 We also tried Wu's Beef Noodles, which were absolutely delicious! Next, we went to Tamsui, but the rainy weather really dampened the scenery, leaving us with little to do. We decided to relax at a café instead. The small shuttle bus up the hill was quite shaky, making the saying "If you can sit, don't stand" feel so true! The café we visited was called "No Special Plans," which perfectly matched our mood at the time. Their Iron Buddha Mille Crepe Cake was phenomenal and was unanimously voted the best treat of the day! 🍰 Later, we walked to the Tamsui waterfront and stumbled upon the Museum of Broken Relationships. Apparently, if you feel unlucky, you can get a free fortune-telling there, but who would willingly admit they're unlucky? 😂 As the day wound down, we returned to Taipei since my girlfriends needed to pack for their trip back home. 2. Today, my girlfriends left, and I officially began my solo trip in Taiwan! I had already researched the exhibition information at the Taipei Music Center (Taipei Pop Music Center) online, so I headed there early in the morning. I spent the day hunting for Easter eggs related to Mayday and was lucky enough to meet a fellow fan who happened to be a teacher. They guided me to discover even more hidden gems, which made me incredibly happy! I plan to write a separate post to share all the details about Mayday at the Taipei Music Center. Since I had already booked my train ticket to Hualien for the day, I rushed to Dadaocheng to grab some braised pork rice. The taste still lingers in my memory! I originally planned to dine in, but just as I was about to be seated, the equipment malfunctioned, so I had to opt for takeout instead. Holding my delicious braised pork rice, I hurried back to the station and boarded the Tze-Chiang 3000 train, officially setting off for Hualien!

#Travel Plan Giveaway Our flight arrived at Taiwan airport at 6 am. We quickly got dressed to set up our trip. We will leave our bags near Taipei Main Station and then take a bus to Wulai. Day 1: Wulai District Wulai Village or Wulai Waterfall is outside Taipei City. It takes about 2 hours to get to Wulai. The highlight here is the waterfall with clear green water. There is a train and cable car to go up to the 2nd floor. There is a hot spring to soak in. The view is beautiful. Day 2: Taipei Fish Market: In the morning, we stopped by the fish market. We saw that it was famous for fresh food, so we tried it. Asked if it was delicious, it was not that good. - Then take a bus to the military village near Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taipei. Under the building, there is shopping for us. - Evening, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Try Taiwanese water, very delicious, recommended. You get both the palace atmosphere and authentic bubble tea, delicious and satisfying. - In the evening, go shopping in Ximending to buy clothes, shoes, and souvenirs. Day 3: Go to Keelung City, take the TBS train and get off at the final destination, Keelung. Then walk to Keelung Port, where there are colorful and beautiful buildings. Today is my last day in Taipei! It felt like I was blessed with divine assistance, as I managed to visit all the important spots without missing a single one. Perhaps because I was traveling alone and didn't spend much time taking photos, my efficiency was super high. 🗺️Itinerary Starting from the Rainbow Taipei photo spot at Exit 6 of Ximending, I then went to Longshan Temple, followed by a visit to Xiao Wang Stewed Melon, which is very close to Longshan Temple. Next, I headed to Dihua Street, had lunch at Take Village Izakaya, went to Elephant Mountain in the afternoon, visited Taipei 101 in the evening, and ended my day at the Feminist Bookstore. ⚠️Notes Longshan Temple has a prayer guide, so don't worry if you haven't done your homework beforehand. Besides Take Village Izakaya and Elephant Mountain being great spots for photos with Taipei 101, the Taipei City Government location is actually better! (But I was lazy, and I already had a lot of content to post today, so I didn't go in the evening). The view from the top of Taipei 101 is similar to Hong Kong's Sky 100, so I didn't spend money on the observation deck. The Feminist Bookstore is a bookstore focused on feminism, so those interested can check it out. 💬Travel Thoughts I walked the entire way from Ximending to Dihua Street. Since I spent most of yesterday on transportation and didn't get a chance to walk around and explore, I missed out on many great little eateries. So today, I forced myself to take less public transport🚌. Strolling through the streets in the morning and hiking up Elephant Mountain in the afternoon in 30-degree heat, I can't remember the last time I pushed myself so hard, sweating profusely. 🍽️Food Experience The advantage of walking is that you can easily find small shops you want to eat and drink at. I tried Hong Rui Zhen sandwiches, Louisa Matcha Latte, 50 Lan Four Seasons Spring Tea, Xiao Wang Stewed Melon Pork Rice, and Fishbone Egg Cake. We went to Taiwan specifically to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks display at Taipei 101. This event is an absolute must-see for New Year's celebrations in Taipei, and even in all of Taiwan. The best part is that because of the towering height of the 101 building, you can see the fireworks from surrounding areas even if you're not at the City Hall. Everywhere you go, you can find people counting down and sharing the joy of the New Year together. Two hours before midnight, we arrived near the building. There were already many people enjoying food from the stalls set up nearby. In addition to the fireworks display, there were also light effects that made the entire performance more lively. Performances by many famous singers made the New Year's Eve event even more exciting. The area near the stage was indeed very crowded, but if you just want to see the fireworks, you can avoid the area near the stage, as there are still great views of the fireworks from less crowded areas around. Overall, the stunning and creative visual effects of Taipei 101 are truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Highlights - This is a huge area with the memorial, peace arch, parks and national theatres. The memorial itself is a huge complex with interesting exhibitions below and statue on top level. Overall, very good chance to learn about Chiang Kai Shek and Taiwan history Tips - You can go earlier in the morning as exhibitions opens at 9am but remember your sunscreen and umbrella. 2. Taipei 101 Highlights - Tall and iconic skyscraper of Taiwan that has many luxury shops inside the building. There are also many souvenir shops like Sunny Hills etc inside for gift shopping. Tips - You can also go to the nearby park near the city hall to have a full view picture with Taipei 101 and the rainbow. 3. Ximending Getting there - You can take Metro to nearest Ximen station. Highlights - Fun and vibrant shopping district from day to night. There are so much food and souvenir shops here. Don't forget to try the famous Ay Chung Rice Noodles and Xing Fu Tang's brown sugar milk. Options are endless here. Tips - Do visit the red house at Ximen which is a historic and photogenic building with crafts market and coffee house inside. 4. Raohe Night Market Getting there - Can reach there by Metro and then walking. Highlights - This is the best night market in Taipei in my personal opinion. The variety of food is great there and it's a huge night market. Many michelin bib recommended food like the pepper meat pancake, Yipinyuan rice balls to name a few.
