Portuguese Colonial Houses 🇲🇴
#timetotravel
Upon entering the Taipa Houses Museum, I was immediately transported back in time. The museum features a cluster of five traditional green-colored colonial houses, each one representing a different architectural style and period. The well-preserved structures instantly evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity. Inside the houses, I discovered meticulously restored interiors that transport visitors to a bygone era. The period furniture, antique artifacts, and informative displays offered a fascinating insight into the lives of the families who once occupied these spaces. Beyond the historical significance, the Taipa Houses Museum also hosts regular exhibitions, cultural activities, and workshops that further enrich the visitor experience. Most of all, it is free admission so it can be enjoyed by all.

National Geographic Magazine award-winning location, looking east towards Ocean New Street, daytime view. Mint green Architecture Museum, Taipa Dragon Ring Portuguese-style residential museum.
Macau is not a big place, and the shops on the street are basically the best of the best. Not far from the hotel is this familiar street, which was named after a certain film and television work, "October Fifth Street".
On the fifth day of October, I turned into a small alley and discovered a snack shop. When writing my travelogue, I found that many people had already explored this shop (it seems like everyone has thoroughly explored Macau). The storefront is very small, and the products are neatly stacked. They sell small snacks like peanuts and nuts. The storefront looks like it has been around for a long time, giving a nostalgic feeling. Don't miss it if you have the chance to come.

Macau discovers a new popular spot for taking photos.
There is a special museum in Macau - the Lou Kau Mansion, located on the seaside road of Taipa Island. It covers an area of about 2500 square meters, with an exhibition area of about 500 square meters. It includes five Portuguese-style houses on the seaside road, the St. Lawrence's Church, the Macau Civil Registry Office (formerly the Ka Mok Library), and two small parks.
Especially the Portuguese-style buildings along the seaside road, these five small green villas are important cultural relics and cultural heritage in Taipa, and they are also one of the most representative scenic spots in Macau. Because of their high appearance value, they are particularly photogenic. The dreamy colors of macarons are indeed very suitable for taking pictures.
After visiting the architecture, take a walk in the wetlands. The Long Huan Portuguese-style Wetland covers an area of 115,000 square meters and is the most important natural freshwater wetland in Macau. Don't be fooled by its unremarkable appearance. Near the Datanshan Mountain on the edge of the wetland, there is a forest covering an area of over 19,000 square meters with dense vegetation, attracting a large number of egrets to inhabit and breed. This is one of the unique landscapes of Macau.
You can also take a ride on the Grand Taipa Hill Inclined Elevator if you have time. This is the first inclined elevator in Macau. Going up, you can overlook the tourist and entertainment hotel buildings and scenery in the Cotai area, and it's free.
There is also the Our Lady of Carmel Church, the only Catholic church in Taipa, which was built in 1885. The building has three floors and looks simple and quaint on the outside, without too much fancy decoration, but it appears exceptionally elegant and solemn. The beige exterior walls have some mottled marks.
Across from the church is the civil registration bureau. It used to be a library, but now it's a place to register for marriage. The day we went, there were many couples registering.
In Macau, it is common to find roads paved with stone mosaics, which exude a strong Portuguese style. Next to the Long Chuan Portuguese style, a beautiful mosaic staircase was discovered, and this place is somewhat hidden with few tourists, making it perfect for taking photos! It may become a new popular spot for social media check-ins.

visitors in Avenida da Praia, Taipa can go to the ecological trail in person, which is the best choice to unveil the secrets of the wetland.
The format of the opening of the ecological trail in Avenida da Praia, Taipa depends on the ecological sensitivity of the different sections, and the management methods of the different sections vary accordingly. The northern section of the ecological trail is connected to the five existing ecological ponds and a barrier-free passage is available. The eastern section of the ecological trail weaves through the important aquatic bird habitat in the Wetland in Avenida da Praia, Taipa. To ensure that the activities of visitors will not cause disturbance to the aquatic birds, a bird-watching screen of about 200 metres is installed on the ecological trail. Three bird-watching houses are also set up to make it convenient for visitors to appreciate the birds, learn about the wild birds of Macao and learn how to co-exist peacefully with wild animals. An entrance to the barrier-free passage is also available in the southern section of the ecological trail. Three lotus viewing platforms and a large leisure platform are also installed on the trail, so that visitors can experience the feeling of being in a lotus pond and look back at the unique scenery of Avenida da

Taipa Houses–Museum
#bucketlistreboot The museum complex consists of five houses, of which four display various artefacts and exhibits on life during Macau's colonial era while another serves as an event venue. The houses were built in 1921. These colonial residences were restored to recreate houses of well-off Portuguese families living in Macau during the first half of the 20th century. The last house was restored in 1999. The Taipa Houses–Museum opened on 5 December 1999 and is administered by the Cultural Affairs Bureau.
The houses used to look out over the sea, but due to land reclamation of the Cotai area between Taipa and Coloane. This body of water is now a small wetland. Every autumn, the Cultural Affairs Bureau organises the Lusofonia Festival at the open space outside the museums.

[Macau must beat the old buildings of Tiffany color]
Dragon ring is the old name of Taipa Island, and the dragon ring rhyme can be understood as the Portuguese charm on Taipa Island. The scenic spot is located in Taipa Island, Macau. It includes the Dragon Ring Portuguese Museum, the Carmen Church, the Taipa Library, the Taipa Municipal Garden and the Cross Garden. It is one of the eight scenic spots in Macau.
The museum consists of five Portuguese-style houses built in the 20th century. The exterior walls are mainly Tiffany green, with white trim and white plants. The embellishment can be said to be the tallest building in Macau. These buildings were once the official residence of senior Macau officials and a representative native Portuguese residence.
Carmelite Church is the only Catholic church in Taipa. It has a history of 100 years and its establishment symbolizes the arrival of the Portuguese. At present, the church is only allowed to enter the prayers, and many movies come here to capture the scene.
, the park stretches along the hill and climbs up the hillside overlooking the Macau city. The most special one is the long ladder built along the slope. The wall is made of the same Tiffany Green as the Dragon Ring Portuguese Museum, with a statue of the famous Portuguese poet James.
Due to the proximity to the Galaxy, Venetian and other hotels, you can take the Fortune Gate to the hotel at the gate and walk to it. From the Venetian Hotel, there is a pedestrian bridge on the right hand side of the west wing of the hotel. You can walk along the road to get to the sights.

If someone asks which museum I like most in Macau, I must answer without hesitation: Longhuan Portuguese House Museum! The Macalonian (Clean Green) museum was opened to the public on December 5, 1999. It was once the official residence of senior Macau officials. The small and clean exterior attracted many domestic and foreign tourists. The five green residential areas have a very nice name: the home of the Portuguese, the home of the island, the home of the Portuguese region, the exhibition hall, and the guest house. The Longhuan Portuguese House Museum has been included in Macau's important heritage and cultural heritage. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday: 10 am

Macau City Guide: The refreshing and artistic Taipa Village with its Portuguese Charm
Macau is a city well-suited for CityWalks, and the Portuguese Charm of Taipa Village is one of the eight scenic spots in Macau. It used to be the residence of high-ranking officials on the islands and also the family homes of the Macanese, with its mint green color being very refreshing.
The transformed museum houses a collection of distinctive furniture from the late 19th century. Being there, one can relive the domestic life of the Macanese in the early 20th century. By the lake, the row of five houses looks particularly attractive, with the innermost one being the most appealing.
Surrounding the area are ancient banyan trees and charming hand-painted walls. Next to it is the St. Francis Xavier's Church, and nearby Rua do Cunha is a famous food street in Macau, offering many local snacks and Michelin-starred cuisine.

Taipa Houses 🍃✨
According to reports, Dragon Ring is the old name of Taipa, and Portuguese style refers to the five Portuguese style buildings next to the wetland. They were once Macanese residences and official residences. It is a two storey building, displaying the furniture and decorations of Macanese in the past, as well as some old photos. 🍂
There are staff in the museum to answer questions from tourists. Thanks to the staff for the detailed explanation, I learned that the Macanese people in Macau have a history of 450 years. 👀
The remaining four halls are used for exhibitions, shops, activity rooms, snack bars and more. It is also one of the most representative attractions in Macau. Really recommended 👍🏻✨

Independent and unique, the Praia, Taipa exudes Portuguese charm.
Macau is more than just the bustling hotels of Venetian and Londoner with their bright lights and wine.
There is also the elegant and unique Wetland in Avenida da Praia, Taipa.
Inside the wetland, there are Portuguese-style buildings with a fresh green tone.
Very productive.
Spring has arrived, and the fragrance of flowers and the chirping of birds permeate the entire wetland park.
Until mid-March, you can still see the pale pink cherry blossoms 🌸🌸 blooming on the branches.

When playing in Macau, it is the wisest choice to bring a camera and choose to hike. Take a slow walk and there will always be surprises, and scenery that you will love will appear.
At the corner, I met Long Huan Pu Yun, with mint green buildings in front of me. The breeze blows, the temperature is just right. Long Huan Pu Yun consists of five small buildings. "Long Huan" is the old name of Taipa, and "Pu Yun" refers to the Portuguese architectural group. In these small houses of Long Huan Pu Yun, there are museums, souvenir shops, cafes, etc. Besides taking photos, it is also worth visiting. Next to this row of small houses is a wetland with a good ecological environment. It is very comfortable to take a walk here.
