Our family set off on a journey to Mount Taibai. In the morning, we departed from Xi'an and arrived at Mount Taibai National Forest Park after about an hour's drive. Along the way, I was filled with anticipation, as Mount Taibai is renowned for its magnificent natural scenery and unique geographical location, attracting countless tourists. Upon entering the park, we first took a sightseeing bus to the Lotus Peak Waterfall. As soon as we got off the bus, we were greeted by the roaring sound of water, as if the earth was humming. Walking along the wooden boardwalk, we soon saw the spectacular Lotus Peak Waterfall. The waterfall cascades down from a height of several dozen meters, splashing water everywhere, and under the sunlight, it forms a beautiful rainbow. Next, we continued our journey to Ink Splash Mountain. This place is where Li Bai, the famous Tang Dynasty poet, once wielded his sword while drunk, and it has a rich cultural heritage. With the guide's explanation, I could almost see the bold and unrestrained demeanor of the Tang Dynasty poet after getting drunk. We had lunch at the Red Birch Flat Scenic Area. There are many rest spots here, and the environment is very tranquil, surrounded by lush trees, and the air is exceptionally fresh. After the meal, we began the most challenging part of the journey - hiking to the Round Heaven Square Earth. As the altitude gradually increased, the temperature gradually dropped, and we had to put on more clothes. But even so, when I stood at the Round Heaven Square Earth and overlooked the majestic mountains, all the cold and fatigue instantly disappeared. From the Round Heaven Square Earth, you can take a cable car directly to the summit - Baxian Platform. Standing at the highest point in Shaanxi, I felt an unprecedented sense of excitement and pride. The distant mountains are layered, shrouded in mist, and the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. On the way down the mountain, we visited Daye Lake and Jade Emperor Pool. Daye Lake is a high-altitude lake with crystal-clear water, surrounded by colorful wildflowers, like a fairyland. The Jade Emperor Pool, on the other hand, appears more mysterious, as it is said to be the bathing place of the Jade Emperor in Taoism. Although the entire journey was somewhat tiring, my soul was greatly satisfied. Mount Taibai not only allowed me to appreciate the wonders of nature but also gave me a deeper understanding of China's long history and culture. This trip undoubtedly became a valuable memory in my life.

【Introduction】Shaanxi Mount Taibai National Forest Park is located within the territory of Meixian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It is the main peak of the Qinling Mountain Range and the highest peak, 【Baxiantai】, with an altitude of 3771.2 meters. It is known as the 'Spine of China' and the 'Dragon Head of the Central Plains'. It serves as a dividing ridge for the climate, geography, and water systems between the north and south of the mainland, as well as the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. As the main peak of the Qinling Mountain Range, Mount Taibai is distinctly majestic, strange, beautiful, and secluded, with a perfect combination of mountains, forests, water, and atmosphere. Its towering presence and ever-changing climate have always been the aspiration of literati and poets since ancient times. The total area of Mount Taibai National Forest Park is 5253 hectares, divided into 10 major scenic areas with more than 180 attractions, spanning altitudes from 620 to 3771 meters. It was established in 1991 with the approval of the State Forestry Department and officially opened to the public in July 1992. In February 2001, it was honored as one of the 'First Batch of National Civilized Forest Parks'. In November 2016, the Mount Taibai scenic area was promoted to a national AAAAA-level scenic spot. The original plan was to climb Mount Taibai on May 25, 2024, but due to rain, it was postponed to the next day, the 26th. We entered the scenic area at 8:30 in the morning after purchasing tickets at the visitor center (admission ticket 90 yuan, sightseeing car 60 yuan). There are 3 attractions at the foot of the mountain with stops. About Mount Taibai It's truly beautiful but also truly exhausting. Last year's plan made on 7.22 was used this year on 6.23. At 11:30, after ticket inspection, I took the scenic shuttle bus to ride the cableway to the top. Who would have thought that at the first scenic spot, the Lotus Peak Waterfall, I would have to walk for 45min to transfer to the cableway, which was totally unexpected. After getting off the cableway, the sight of the 'City in the Sky' was dazzling. Then came the long 6~7h trek. The 'Grandpa Sea' was really cold. I really don't know how I survived that night. I was afraid I would leave myself there. The starry sky over the 'Grandpa Sea' was beautiful. I heard someone with a telescope say there were meteors, but they forgot to make a wish. It was too cold. At four in the morning, almost 70% of the people at 'Grandpa Sea' gave up going to 'Baixiantai', and some teams sent their elites to take photos and check in. The 'Grandpa Sea' in the early morning was unbelievably beautiful. All I could think about was how I would get back and whether I could make it back. On the way back, I walked, rested, and slept.
