Conquering Hong Kong’s highest peak, Tai Mo Shan, is a great day activity to explore Hong Kong’s country parks! I started my journey by taking the MTR to Tsuen Wan MTR, then transiting to Public Light Bus (PLB) route 80 to Cheun Lung (川龍）. Then, I walked along the Rotary Club Park Nature Trail before hitting Tai Mo Shan Road. From there, I just followed the road which transits naturally to the MacLehose Trail Section 8 to reach the peak of Tai Mo Shan Peak! Along the way, I enjoyed the winding path flanked by lush greenery and scenic vistas. Around the station, silvergrass covering the slopes is tinged with gold by the sun. To the starting point: From MTR Tsuen Wan Station Exit A, walk to the bus stop on Tai Ho Road North. Take bus 51 to the Country Park stop. The entrance of the country park is on Tai Mo Shan Road. From the end point: Return by the way you came to the Country Park bus stop. Take bus 51 to MTR Tsuen Wan Station, where multiple modes of transportation offer access to the rest of the city.
