5-Day Detailed Sydney Car-Free Travel Guide
🇦🇺This guide is suitable for those who have just arrived in Sydney or are here for a visit
✈️Travel: We flew from Brisbane and chose Virgin Australia for both ways. I don't recommend Jetstar, but Qantas can be considered depending on the schedule
🚇Transport: In Sydney, most public transport like trams and buses can be paid for directly with a mobile phone. A train ride costs about $11, and you can buy a transport card at the airport or convenience store to link to your phone
🏨Accommodation: It's best to book in advance!
1⃣️Day One: Depart from Brisbane to Sydney
Upon arrival in Sydney, proceed directly to check in
2⃣️Day Two: Classic sightseeing route
🎶Sydney Opera House
🌉Harbour Bridge
🎰Crown Casino
👾QBV
🏛️Town Hall
🗼Sydney Tower
⛴️Night Ferry Ride: There are special night cruise ships and regular commuter ferries. Choosing the regular commuter ferry is fine, and it will pass under the Harbour Bridge
🔅This day will be especially fulfilling. If you have time, you can also book a performance at the Sydney Opera House in advance. The night view under the Harbour Bridge as the ferry passes by is really beautiful! The buffet in the casino is highly recommended 🦞Seafood lovers will definitely enjoy it
3⃣️Day Three: City landmarks
📍Royal Botanic Garden
📍Hyde Park
📍St Mary's Cathedral
📍Luna Park
🔅This day is about experiencing British-style architecture and the Royal Botanic Garden. The Ferris wheel at Luna Park is also worth seeing, especially in the evening when the lights are beautiful
4⃣️Day Four: University of Sydney (USYD) - The Magic Academy
🪄Magic Building
🪄Graffiti Corridor
🪄University Cafe
🪄Newtown - Jay Chou's same photo spot
🔅The Magic Building at the University of Sydney, rumored to be a filming location for Harry Potter, is great for taking photos in a wizard's robe. In reality, it's not a filming location, but the architectural style is very similar to the movies! The Graffiti Corridor is full of street photography style!
⭐️Newtown is not far from the University of Sydney, featuring the same bench as Jay Chou‼️
5⃣️Day Five: Australia's stunning beaches
🏖Bondi Beach
🏖Diamond Bay
🌝Sydneysiders highly recommend visiting Bondi Beach and Diamond Bay for their beautiful seascapes and public outdoor pools
6⃣️Day Six: Seafood and snacks are a must
🦞Sydney Fish Market
🍲Chinatown
🦑Chinatown Market
💫The Sydney Fish Market is the most anticipated stop of the entire trip, full of oysters and lobsters! Indulge in Sydney rock oysters! 🦪
There are souvenirs for sale in the Chinatown Market👍
7⃣️Day Seven: Return to Brisbane
Choosing the airport express train to the airport is also very convenient

Super practical: 10 must-visit spots for first-time visitors to Sydney
1. Sydney Opera House
🎫Ticket required
It's the city's synonym, listed as a World Heritage Site, hosting different styles of performances - music, dance, drama, etc.
Enjoy the evening breeze at the Sydney Opera House, don't miss the sunset
📌Tips: The seats inside are all good, it is recommended to buy tickets in advance
2. Darling Harbour
A very lively area at night, with a high concentration of attractions and restaurants! There are fireworks on Saturday nights
3. Harbour Bridge
You can climb to the top of the arch, the ticket is a bit expensive, friends who are not afraid of heights and have sufficient budget can try; you don't need to walk to the Harbour Bridge specifically, in fact, you can often shuttle here by train, but you can overlook the Sydney Opera House on the Harbour Bridge, those interested can walk up the bridge~
4. Taronga Zoo
Suitable for family outings👪, you can see kangaroos, koalas, seals and bird performances, feed giraffes🦒, there are all kinds of activities all day!
5. Queen Victoria Building
A very worth visiting beautiful building, also a good place for boutique shopping, remember to look at the classical clock on the roof, take pictures to keep the memory📸~
6. Hyde Park
A huge green park in the center of Sydney. 🌳Spring is here! There are picturesque fountains, St. Mary's Cathedral, and the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps War Memorial are all worth visiting~
7. Sydney Fish Market
If you are a heavy seafood lover and have plenty of time, of course you can come and try, but some shops are high-priced and need to discern more~
8. Bondi Beach
Bondi to Coogee Walk is a popular coastal hiking route, connecting four beaches, you can walk along this cliff viewing road, the trail is six kilometers long.
9. University of Sydney
The most famous is the Harry Potter Building, which is also the iconic building of the University of Sydney, where tourists and students love to check in! Walking into the building, it's like stepping into a magical world, full of Hogwarts atmosphere, Harry Potter fans don't miss it!
10. Sydney Tower
There are shopping centers, observation decks, buffets, cafes, etc. inside. If you don't particularly want to go to eat or go up to see the view, you don't need to go there specifically, you can see it when you go to many attractions.

#sydneytrip
Amazing views from the top. Must be on your go to list of places. Did skywalk along with observation deck.
The Observation deck allows 360 deg views of Sydney. But it is pretty ordinary in furnishings. There are not too many places to sit. You can get light refreshments but they are very light.
However, Bar83 is a totally different story. Sit and enjoy cocktails, spirits and wines with superb finger food. The best part is that it is not expensive to have a great drink 1067 ft up as the sun sets over the city. Best experience!

3 must do things in Sydney
I was in Sydney last week and these are the 3 must do things you need to do in your next trip.
1 Sydney Eye Tower - there are the most amazing views up there and get to see the whole city from above
2 Chinese garden of friendship - this cute little Chinese garden has some of the best scenery for your insta pics ;) with a nice trail to walk on, benches all over and some amazing waterfalls this is a must do in Sydney
3 Taronga zoo - easily the best zoo I’ve ever been to. you get to be up close and personal with the animals and they even have opportunities to hold a koala but also they have such a vast variety of animals it truly is incredible

What's with Sydney Tower EYE
The views of course are spectacular. It's a like pricey (around $25 AUD per adult) and expect to wait for a good chunk of time (10-15 minutes) to get upstairs. There are only 3 lifts and they don't fit many people into each trip. Trust me, worth to enjoy the sunset.

Sydney's tallest Tower
Great Views of sydney's tallest tower. I recommend doing it on a clear day. The entry is from westfield. From the observation deck on the top floor you get a spectacular 360 degree view of sydney, the business district and beyond.
The skywalk is fun, there is a 3mvirtual relaity activity too. I gave it a miss. Given the price and what it offers. I think for an expensive city like sydney this is a decent deal.

Sydney Tower Eye
#australiatrip It was nice to see Sydney in bird’s eye view. You get a much better picture of this cosmopolitan and green city. We chose a late afternoon visit to see the sunset. It was worthwhile. The sunset that day was lovely. The biggest let-down was the windows - they’re seriously way too dirty. It was hard to get a good photo without taking in the marks on the window (see my photo). For a business that is based on giving a good city view, cleanliness of the windows should be top priority. Otherwise, the entrance was good, wait time wasn’t long. Overall, it’s a pleasant thing to do while visiting Sydney.

Sydney Tower Eye
#sydneytrip A great experience for sure. The view is amazing and it's a whole different perspective from up there which makes it even better.
We got the pass for multiple attractions so the price was quite good considering the experience. The staff was great and there was not much waiting time.
We went during the day so the photos of the people came out overexposed so remember to use your flash to balance out the lighting if you're after nice photos 🙌

Pretty cool view of the city! Little cafe up the top of you need a quick snack or a souvenir. The lifts up and down are speedy but there can be a line up as they only hold a smaller number of people. The Free binoculars provided are a bit of fun too. They’re fixed in place but the different height are a nice touch.
A great experience for sure. The view is amazing and it's a whole different perspective from up there which makes it even better.

Sydney is not only the financial center of Australia,
It is also the city with the largest population in Australia.
The urban scenery and coastal landscape blend perfectly,
Make it a shining pearl in the southeast of Australia.
Take a ferry across the Harbour Bridge and admire the Sydney Opera House, which resembles a seashell, on the sea surface. At night, climb the Sydney Tower and overlook the bustling city night view of Sydney, a landmark building in Australia. Go to Bondi Beach and start a good mood with sunshine and sand. This is the surfing holy land of Australia, where you can experience the speed and passion of the sea. After playing, take a stroll in the Surrey Hills, where restaurants and shops are gathered, one of the most famous neighborhoods in Sydney.

Going to Sydney, what are the attractions to punch in? I think when you are doing the Raiders, the first thing that comes to mind is the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Of course, these two buildings, as Sydney's long-lasting landmarks, have been well known by many people. But as a landmark, you probably won't think of it for the first time. It is the Sydney Tower. Today we are talking about the Sydney Tower, one of Sydney's three landmarks.
First introduce the Sydney Tower. The tower was built in 1968 and was completed in 1981, lasting 13 years. The landmark building was originally designed as a shopping center, but it was not implemented at the end. The exterior of the Sydney Tower is golden yellow and is exceptionally spectacular under the sun. The shape is relatively simple, but it does not lose the atmosphere. Underneath is a straight tower, which is a cylindrical building at a height of 250 meters. And the biggest height we have to go up today is the viewing layer located here. Here is the 360° viewing deck, where you can overlook the whole of Sydney.
Take the elevator to the observation deck. In less than 1 minute, the speed is not bad. The popularity here is good and many tourists enjoy the scenery here. Its great to shoot Sydney here, unless you venture to fly a drone, otherwise there is no place that is more suitable for taking a big city scene. However, because it is viewed through the glass, it is still good to see it with the naked eye, but the camera has obvious reflections. This is a common problem of all glass viewing platforms, and there is no way to solve it well. However, the Sydney Tower is just reflective in the glass, relatively clean, which at least avoids the slightest out of the pockmarks. It is also very good.
Sydney is a city surrounded by the Tasman Sea and is home to the South Pacific. So in Sydney, there is no shortage of sea views. On the Sydney Tower, you can clearly see the seamless integration of the city and the sea. And some islands in the distance. The traffic on the Bay Bridge is moving, and on the waterway under the bridge, the ships are equally busy. In Sydney, rich people are basically equipped with water toys such as yachts or sailboats. Because such a good water resource, if you don't play water projects or entertainment, it is a waste of resources.
The weather in Sydney is not bad. As long as it is not rainy, you can basically see the blue sky and white clouds. This is really good news for people who like to take pictures. The same was true on the Sydney Tower today. The time was at 3-4 pm, and there were few scattered clouds in the sky. It was set in the blue sky and looked unusually ethereal. With the dense buildings underneath, such a picture is very visually impactful. The pulse of the city starts here, and this is the charm of Australia, and even one of the most important cities in the southern hemisphere.
Mr_Huang_.
I have already boarded Eureka 88 in Melbourne, and then boarded the 304.8-meter Sydney Tower. The whole of Australia's two largest cities will have a panoramic view.
Sydney Tower and Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and is known as Sydney's three landmarks. It seems that no matter where you go, you can see this tall building like a lightning rod. Because 300 oceans per person in advance booked the top-level revolving restaurant buffet lunch, so the view of Sydney does not have to turn around again - the restaurant rotates about 105 minutes, a lunch is just right.
