Bangkok|An unexpected encounter in the afternoon: seeing the tenderness and tenacity of human nature in Bangkok
The exhibition room is not big, and there are no gorgeous decorations or publicity. There are only black and white and color photos hanging quietly on the wall. These images are from a record of a real event - the images show people's tenacity, protection and hope when facing life challenges.
I was deeply attracted by one of the photos: a child sitting outdoors, holding a doll in his hands, with a gentle but focused look in his eyes. It is a kind of quiet power, as if telling you "there is still hope for everything."
This exhibition is not noisy, but it makes people feel peaceful. Every photo seems to be telling a story and makes people rethink the meaning of travel.
If you have the opportunity to come to Bangkok, I recommend you to visit this exhibition hall. It is not just to see the exhibition, but more like a brief encounter with another soul in a corner of the world.

Bangkok|Chinatown Beef Noodle Shop - Thick Soup and Tender Meat, You'll Be Addicted
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
The traditional beef noodle shop - Niu Mian Wang. The exterior of the building is full of retro feelings, with wooden windows, old doors, mottled walls and old signs. It looks like a street corner scenery frozen in time. Once you walk in, it feels like you have entered Bangkok in an old movie.
The most unforgettable thing here is the bowl of beef noodles, which is a little chewy but not dry, and is paired with chewy noodles. You can finish the whole bowl without any burden and still want another bowl.
The environment is simple but clean and tidy, and the many retro furnishings and old photos in the store also attract many literary youths and photography enthusiasts to come and make a pilgrimage. This restaurant is not just about having a meal, it's more like experiencing a daily story of old Bangkok.

Bangkok | Famous Thai traditional snack shop, a snack stall recommended by Michelin for 4 years, handmade and delicious
Do you think Thailand only has mango sticky rice? wrong! Khanom Buang, a Thai crispy cookie that even Bangkok locals queue up for, is the real hidden delicacy king! I was accidentally attracted by the aroma at CentralWorld and discovered that this stall, which has been recommended by Michelin for 4 consecutive years, makes fresh and handmade food every day. It smells so good when you get close to it!
I ordered three different flavors and they were all amazing: the crust was crispy on the outside and the filling was rich and not too sweet, which made me want to keep eating!

① The authentic Thai dim sum that locals also line up for is very fragrant
② Sweet but not greasy, crispy crust

Bangkok|An old shop with celebrity photos posted at the door. I knew I couldn’t miss it. I was not disappointed.
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
This old shop is hidden in a small alley in Chinatown. Its exterior looks very simple, and even its shop sign is so low-key that it is almost overlooked. But what attracted me to stop was the densely covered wall of photos at the door. The entire door is filled with photos of various celebrities, bloggers, and tourists. It can be seen that this is definitely a place with a story.
I was actually a little hesitant when I stood at the door, but people kept pouring in, and the photos on the wall were so convincing that I thought this was definitely not an ordinary store. I walked in and ordered a box of signature fried food. Seeing the staff's quick movements and no panic, I felt like they had already trained for a long time.
It's true, the fried food is freshly fried and sold, the skin is golden and crispy, and the filling is full of spices. You can tell that this is the taste that the locals will eat again and again.

Must-Stay Hotel in Thailand!
This time, I found a hotel accessible by both BTS and MRT, just a few minutes' walk from Asok Station. The decor has a unique style, and the rooms feel incredibly cozy. The surroundings are very quiet, and I had an amazing sleep for three nights straight!
Plus, the bar on the basement floor has an incredible atmosphere. From the red carpet leading downstairs to the seating details and live performances, everything is so captivating.
The rooftop pool isn't very large, but it's truly relaxing. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Thailand!

Terroir BKK is one of the cafes that amazed me. When I walked to the door of the store, I found that there were a lot of people taking pictures outside the door. Whether they were wearing Thai-style dresses or minimalist styles, they all stopped here to check in.
The entire store not only has a sense of design on the outside, but the space inside is so spacious that people can't help but sit for a while. The best thing is that although it’s popular, there’s no need to queue, the air conditioning is strong enough and the seats are comfortable. Bangkok | Songhua, pudding and tea, the taste of the old city
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
Walking into the Yaowarat alley in the old city of Bangkok, I unexpectedly found a small shop with a very atmospheric atmosphere, Songhua PUDDING & TEA. The two retro posters at the door were very eye-catching and I couldn't help but walk in.
We ordered a fragrant drink and a bowl of the signature "black sesame pudding". Its taste surprised me - it was not the traditional smooth pudding, but more like delicate tofu pudding, melting in the mouth with a slight sesame aroma.
The store owner said that this sesame paste is hand-ground every day, no wonder it tastes so rich. I really liked the sauce and couldn't help but ask the boss with a smile: "Can you give me some more sesame sauce?" Unexpectedly, the boss also smiled and said: "No problem!" His friendly attitude made me feel very good.
Although a bowl costs 100 baht, I think it is a good deal compared to the common prices in tourist areas. Both the flavor and the overall experience are satisfying. I recommend it to you if you are taking a walk in the old town of Bangkok. You will definitely not regret it if you stop by for a bowl of warm pudding and tea.

Bangkok|Unforgettable Thai-style Seafood
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
This hidden gem of a shop, Kungthong Seafood, is not located in the most prominent location in the city, but it is a traditional restaurant that many Thais have eaten since childhood. Bangkok | A Stroll Through Song Wat | Local Charm and Simplicity
Walking through the streets of Song Wat, the blazing sun made me wonder if I was about to melt. Just then, I spotted a quaint little shop with a wooden sign and an open design that exuded a strong local Thai vibe. Without hesitation, we decided to step inside for a drink and escape the heat.
Though there was no air conditioning inside, the spacious area and the breeze from the fans made it surprisingly comfortable. My husband bought a refreshing drink and some pudding, and we found a seat—traditional bamboo chairs that were a bit firm but had their own unique charm.
I was particularly drawn to the wall decorations, which were made from Thai newspapers arranged like a collage. It felt casual yet creative, perfectly capturing the essence of local life. The counter also displayed several uniquely designed teapots that caught my eye; each seemed to have its own little story.
What makes places like this so captivating isn’t their sophistication but their authenticity. Genuine, unpretentious, and preserving the original essence, they offer a brief respite from the heat and bring you closer to the everyday life of the city.
