Sunshine Aquarium's Jellyfish!!
In July 2020, Sunshine Aquarium established a new exhibition area called 'Kura-ge Ku-kan' (Jellyfish Fantasy) to showcase the charm of jellyfish, based on their previous breeding experience and knowledge. The entire space, including the shape of the tanks, water flow, lighting, and sound, has been meticulously designed to enhance the floating and relaxing sensation that jellyfish provide. The exhibition features the 'Jellyfish Panorama,' a large tank with a width of approximately 14 meters, making it one of the largest jellyfish displays in Japan, showcasing moon jellyfish. Additionally, there is the 'Jellyfish Screen,' a 4-meter-wide tank displaying the beautiful long tentacles of sea nettles, the 'Jellyfish Tunnel,' which surrounds visitors with jellyfish, the 'Jellyfish Loupe,' the 'Jellyfish Drop,' and the 'Mugen Kurage' (Infinite Jellyfish), creating an extraordinary space.
Many people find themselves mesmerized by the sight of jellyfish floating and drifting in the water, their translucent and mysterious shapes moving with the water flow, making them lose track of time.

Sunshine City: Sky Penguins
The 'Sky Penguins' exhibit features a large, overhanging tank about 12 meters wide, offering a sense of openness. Visitors can see Cape Penguins swimming as if they are flying over the city skyline right in front of them, and look up to see them flapping their wings above. This dynamic display creates an unprecedented experience where you might feel like you're in the sky or underwater. This unique space can only be found at Sunshine Aquarium. Additionally, the tank is equipped with high-resolution speakers that play sounds to enhance the experience: the sound of waves at the front to make you feel like you're in shallow waters, and soothing sounds of bubbles at the back to represent the deep sea.

Sunshine
#thingstodo Two in One experience you will get when you come here. It is located on top of Sunshine City mall. It is not deserted somewhere unknown. The price is reasonable for an attraction spot but the experience you get in there is PRICELESS. They have two sections, indoor and outdoor. Don't expect much for the outdoor section as they were not that big. But enough for me and my wife to stroll around.

Sunshine Aquarium
#thingstodo It’s a very small aquarium and so very very crowded. You can only enter via the Lift and although there’s four of them. The system isn’t well calibrated so only one of them can stop at the floor at one time. So we waited for 30 mins just to get on the lift.
Then we got to the aquarium and it was basically a big long crowd of people. Imagine standing in the Yamamote line train at rush hour and slowly making your way from the back to the front.
Lots of the exhibits have medium to large animals in a very small tank with nothing inside.
It was also quite expensive at ¥2600 for an adult and ¥1800 for children.
My children did enjoy it despite the crowds. But I’d perhaps go somewhere else unless you are here on a quiet weekday.
