Seven Moai statues, each 5.5 meters high, face their backs to the Pacific Ocean, and three are placed on three slopes. 1. When you come to Miyazaki, you must see the sea. The Japanese Hawaii is really amazing. Route: Miyazaki Station West Exit - Aoshima - Sun Messe Nichinan - Udo Shrine - Miyazaki Station West Exit. Basically, it is a coastal route, and you can see the sea all the way. You must buy a VISIT MIYAZAKI BUS PASS before the trip, which costs JPY 2,000 and covers all transportation costs for the trip. You can buy it at the Miyazaki City Tourist Information Center (inside Miyazaki JR Station). 2. After asking us where we were going, the staff enthusiastically helped us design the route! Since there are fewer buses in Miyazaki, this is basically the best route. 3. We traveled on the weekend, so we looked at the weekend bus schedule (which is different from the weekday schedule!) Arrive at Miyazaki Station West Exit before 9:22 am. 9:22-10:08 am: Arrive at Aoshima. 10:08 am-12:38 pm: Play on Aoshima. Aoshima is a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge. There is a "Aoshima Shrine" on the island for praying for marriage, and there is also a paddle surfing school nearby. If you have enough time, you can try it. This is my first time went to Japan and first time going to Kyushu, my second stop was Miyazaki. Truthfully, the public transport was only the bus, if you want to go to tourist sites, there was a tourist pass that you can bought at the tourist information center in Miyazaki JR station by just showing your passport, only JPY2000, and you can take the bus in Miyazaki tourist sites. If you dun bought the pass, it was very expensive for one trip from Miyazaki city to Sun Messe Nichinan, cost about JPY1000. Also, you must see the bus schedule carefully because the bus will arrive after one hour if you miss the previous bus. Other people will say better driving yourself when traveling in Miyazaki, it depends on you. I was really attracted to the fact that there are Moai statues in Japan. Isn't it beautiful to see Moai statues standing tall against the backdrop of the blue sky and sea? Sanmesse Nichinan is easily accessible by driving along the coastal road with a view of the Pacific Ocean. It's so interesting that the Moai statues that should be on Ista Island, Chile, are also in Miyazaki, Japan. It's said that they were given as a gift as an expression of gratitude for Japan's help in restoring the Moai statues during the Great Chilean Earthquake. (To be exact, they allowed them to be restored and used.) But what's even more interesting is that if you draw a straight line from where the Moai statues stand, you'll meet the Moai statues on Ista Island! They say that each Moai statue symbolizes luck in career/health/love/everything/marriage/money/study.
