Fairy tale summer palace🏛️🌸
#cherryblossom2024
The Summer Palace in full bloom with peach blossoms is the little Jiangnan of Beijing people! The Summer Palace, a classical Chinese garden 🪴 and one of the famous scenic spots and historical sites in Beijing, was originally the palace and garden of emperors in the Qing Dynasty. It has over 3000 palace garden buildings in various forms.
I really like this section of the West Embankment. The green willows and red flowers 🌺 on the shore are so beautiful that it's intoxicating. The north can also be beautiful and tender.
📸Personally, I think this is the most beautiful section of the Summer Palace mid April, with a brief spring scenery.
🚗Transportation Guide:
The West Gate Station of the Summer Palace is the quickest way to enter from the West Gate to see the West Embankment. The Summer Palace is particularly large, and once you walk through the wrong door, it takes half a day to pass.
📍Location: Haidian District, Beijing.

Life advice: In March in Beijing, you must visit the Summer Palace at least once
March in Beijing is about to welcome the peach blossom season at the Summer Palace.
If you ask me which garden in Beijing is a must-visit in spring,
I would definitely recommend the Summer Palace first.
In March, the Summer Palace will turn into a landscape painting full of peach blossoms.
📍Best spot for flower viewing: The West Causeway of the Summer Palace.
The peach trees on the West Causeway are a very special sight in Beijing.
The trees grow by the water, with branches drooping into the lake.
Compared to ordinary peach blossoms, they have a bit more wild charm.
The West Causeway in spring really feels like you've arrived in the south of the Yangtze.
The pink of the peach blossoms and the green of the willows, the long causeway with misty willows,
combined with the mountain views, water views, ancient buildings, and water birds of the Summer Palace,
these spring images together make up a grand spring scene.
Every spot is a lively landscape painting.🌸
From dawn to dusk,
the changing light and shadows of each time period
present different flavors of beauty.
Walking on the West Causeway, with the breeze, flowing water, and mountain flowers,
you will completely immerse yourself in the beauty of this spring atmosphere!
The peach blossoms on the West Causeway start from the Willow Bridge in the south to the Mirror Bridge in the north.
Every spot is super photogenic,
with lots of room for creativity.
It's very suitable for both portraits and landscapes.
🚶🏻♂️Recommended tour route:
The West Gate of the Summer Palace ➠ Mirror Bridge ➠ Lian Bridge ➠ Jingming Tower ➠ Willow Bridge
📷Scenes to photograph:
Peach blossoms + ancient buildings: Four pavilions including Mirror Bridge, Lian Bridge, Jingming Tower, Willow Bridge
Peach blossoms + water birds: Wild ducks, mandarin ducks, swans can be seen everywhere between Mirror Bridge and Willow Bridge
Peach blossoms + mountain views: Standing on the West Causeway, the mountains are on the west side
🌸Information for March flower viewing:
✔️Peach blossoms on the West Causeway
✔️White magnolias at Leshou Hall
✔️Wax plums at Lenong Pavilion
🚇Subway:
The most convenient route to the West Causeway: Take Line 10 to Bagou Station, transfer to the Xijiao Line, take one stop to the Summer Palace West Gate Station, and it's closer to the West Causeway than the North Palace Gate.
📌tips:
The peach blossom season is very short. It lasts about one week around the middle to the end of March.

Beijing Citywalk|The winter of the Summer Palace is as beautiful as a poem and painting
❄️If the spring of the Summer Palace is the charming ripple of Kunming Lake, then the winter of the Summer Palace is the joyous laughter of the skating rink.
☀️The sun penetrates from the atmosphere of 40°N latitude, crosses the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, shines towards the Tower of Buddhist Incense, the ice surface is immediately dyed with golden light, people spin on it, chasing, as if the brilliant splash from the interstellar space.

Because the building is built against the mountain, the view is open, and you can enjoy the view from the corridor, as if you are in a painting, hence the name 'Tour in Picture' (Pictures 10, 11)
⬇️After going down the mountain, it is the Long Corridor of the Summer Palace (Pictures 12, 13)

While admiring the snow scene in the Summer Palace, you can also feel the strong historical atmosphere
The Summer Palace is really amazing! ❗️❗️The route of the 'painting in the middle of the tour' here, even if the road is slippery, there is no need to worry. In the Summer Palace, the beauty of 'painting in the middle of the tour' is really hard to ignore. Moreover, the park is really considerate, the clean road surface, especially the towering steps and uphill, is very safe to walk.👍
Of course, in order to have more fun, I suggest everyone choose a pair of sports shoes. Although the road after the snow is a bit slippery, as long as you are careful, you can enjoy the beauty here.💕
✨About the nearest route of 'painting in the middle of the tour': Enter from the 'North Ruyi Gate', and you can arrive in about 10 minutes on foot. It saves time and is very suitable for friends who want to play easily.🕤
✨As for the classic position of 'painting in the middle of the tour', many classic positions recommended on the Internet are now sealed by iron railings, which requires some creativity and unique perspectives. You can shoot from the west end of the corridor, let the model stand below, and the photographer stand still on the high place, so that you can take a picture of the person in the painting, which is simply beautiful.💕
In addition to the highest point, you can also slowly walk down and enjoy other scenery of 'painting in the middle of the tour'.✌️
✨Best route: North Ruyi Gate-Painting in the middle of the tour-Buddha Incense Pavilion-Four Continents-Suzhou Street-North Palace Gate. This is a very classic route, you can fully appreciate the beauty of the Summer Palace.
The last thing to remind everyone is that 'painting in the middle of the tour' does not require a separate fee, so you only need to buy a ticket.✌️

Summer Palace.
The Summer Palace in winter, the first time to shoot after the temperature drops in winter, originally expected to see the sunset glow, but the wind is sparse and the clouds are sparse, and there is a little haze in the air. Although I didn't capture the super sunset glow as expected, I saw a beautiful sunset on the east bank of Kunming Lake. The sunset over the western mountains and the red clouds fly, although the weather is cold, people's love for the beautiful scenery is not reduced.
There are many best places to shoot the sunset glow and sunset in the Summer Palace in winter, generally on the east bank of Kunming Lake and on the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. In addition to the colorful clouds and sunset, every year in December, the Summer Palace will stage an annual grand view - the golden light through the Seventeen-Arch Bridge! During the winter solstice, the intensity of the golden light will reach its peak. At this time, there are many photographers, it is recommended to arrive early, at least one hour before sunset. The best shooting position for the golden light through the hole is on the Lake Heart Island, or you can enter from the North Palace Gate, look far away after passing through the four continents, and include the TV tower and the Seventeen-Arch Bridge in the composition.
Share this set of photos, and enjoy the sunset glow of the Summer Palace in winter together. Feel the warmth and romance of the sunset glow, the most beautiful moment in the world is at this moment.

Autumn Appreciation | Sharing the Back Lake of the Summer Palace on November 07
Beijing has entered winter, although the weather has dropped a bit quickly, but for the leaves of the Summer Palace, it seems to have not been greatly affected, it is still a green piece, and it is not as brilliant as shared on the Internet.
🌴Tourist location: Back Lake of the Summer Palace
🚘Self-driving location: North Palace Gate or North Gate of the Summer Palace
🚌Bus route: 384, 563, 394, etc.
North Palace Gate of the Summer Palace: It is a very important entrance to the Summer Palace, it is the north gate of the Summer Palace, not many people usually, but the attractions are very important, namely Suzhou Street and Back Lake, regardless of spring, summer, autumn and winter, these two attractions are very worth visiting. Entering from the North Palace Gate is Suzhou Street, a scenic spot that combines the bustling ancient street block, now you can only feel the prosperity of 100 years ago in your mind. Going south all the way is Wanshou Mountain, Wisdom Sea, Buddha Incense Pavilion, Paiyun Hall, you can go out from the south gate.
Back Lake of the Summer Palace: In fact, the Back Lake is connected to Suzhou Street, but half is charged and half is free. After passing the archway from the north gate, turn left is the Back Lake, with fewer buildings, lush trees, and winding mountain roads. There is a group of Tibetan buildings and Jiangnan water town characteristic river streets, there will be a large area of lotus in summer, only the broken lotus leaves are left in autumn, it is a kind of incomplete beauty.
Main shooting point: After passing the Yin Hui Cheng Guan gate, you can walk along the banks of the Back Lake, the banks are planted with a piece of white wax, ginkgo, poplar, and maple trees, and Quercus plants, as the temperature drops, the leaves present orange, yellow. At present, there are several internet-famous trees that are red at the right time, and the stone arch bridge, tree leaves, and river water are also interesting. The colorful leaves and the calm lake surface form a rare northern autumn landscape, and the cruise ship travels between Suzhou Street and Kunming Lake, combining movement and quietness, with beautiful and pleasant scenery.
💰Ticket: Summer Palace 20 yuan Suzhou Street 10 yuan Back Lake free
🤳Equipment: Telephoto is most suitable
👔Clothes: Ancient costumes look better
⚠️Note: Love small animals, love trees

You must visit the century-old royal garden
The Summer Palace, a gem of ancient Chinese royal gardens! It was once the summer palace of the Qing Dynasty emperor and is one of the most intact royal gardens in China today. Hidden within this grand garden are many astonishing secrets and stories. If you're afraid you won't understand it, hire a scholar as a guide. During the explanation, I learned that the origin of the Summer Palace can be traced back to the 18th century, when Emperor Qianlong built this garden to commemorate his mother. Its design was inspired by the water towns of the south, filled with the rich characteristics of southern gardens. It has the world's largest royal Buddhist temple - Baolin Temple, and the ancient and magical corridor - Nine Bend Bridge, every step is filled with the breath of history. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the Summer Palace also has an amazing secret: the Golden Urn Stone Boat. This is a boat built to imitate the palace of the Ming Dynasty. It is the largest and most exquisite palace boat in ancient China. On this boat, you can feel the luxury and beauty of the ancient royal family. Each scenic spot has its own cultural history, and each trip has its own charm.

The Summer Palace in Beijing China 🇨🇳
Getting There - Travelers can go to the Summer Palace by metro or car. Though I would suggest you to go there by metro, it’s cheaper and faster.
Attractions - The Palace is very big and there are different kinds of activities that you can do inside. The activities will differ which season you visit the Summer Palace. We went there last winter and we saw people skiing on the icy lake. If you go there in winter make sure your coat is thick enough it gets too cold there because it’s in the countryside.
Food & Restaurants - There are some food stalls inside the palace and a few restaurants outside. There’s even a McDonald’s fast food restaurant nearby.

Get lost in Beijing’s summer Palace
Must see sights in Beijing
1. The Emperor’s Summer Palace or simply short “summer palace” as the name suggests, was an imperial garden created for the emperors of the Qing dynasty for relaxation especially during the summer months.
It’s main features include: Kunming Lake, The Long Corridor, Longevity Hill, The Marble Boat, the Buddha Temple of incense.
Its history is quite an interesting one. This area of about 290 hectares of land was first built in 1750 and has since then been destroyed and rebuilt twice. The first time it was destroyed was in 1860 when the Anglo-French allied forces invaded Beijing during the second opium war.
In 1880, Empress Dowager Cixi rebuilt the palace with embezzled money from the navy under the guise of setting up a navy academy inside.
In 1900, the palace was invaded again, this time by the the Eight power allied Forces. Empress Dowager who ran away from the palace came back in 1902 to rebuild it again. The rebuild was completed in 1903. From then till she died, Empress Dowager used the palace every year between April-October as a summer
The Summer Palace was changed from an imperial garden into a public park in 1924.

Having explored the captivating city of Beijing on multiple occasions, I am excited to share with you a carefully crafted three-day itinerary that will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the essence of this remarkable metropolis.
Day 1: I always start my trips to Beijing with a visit to the Forbidden City. The grandeur of the imperial palace never ceases to amaze me. Afterward, I head to Jingshan Park, which is located just behind the Forbidden City. The park offers stunning views of the palace and the city skyline. I love climbing to the top of the hill and taking in the panoramic views.
Day 2: On day two, I head to the Summer Palace, which is a beautiful imperial garden that's perfect for a leisurely stroll. The gardens are filled with pavilions, temples, and bridges, and the Kunming Lake is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city.

I love watching the locals practicing tai chi and playing traditional instruments. In the evening, it's a good idea to explore Sanlitun, which is a trendy neighborhood filled with bars, restaurants, and shops. It's the perfect place to unwind.

MUST SEE PALACE!
I recently visited the Summer Palace in Beijing, and it was an amazing experience! The palace is situated on the outskirts of the city and offers a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
The gardens are simply breathtaking, with carefully manicured trees and flowers, winding paths, and serene lakes. The palace itself is also a marvel to behold, with its intricate architecture and ornate decorations.
I particularly enjoyed visiting the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, where the emperor would meet with his ministers and conduct state affairs. It was fascinating to imagine what life was like during the Qing dynasty and to get a glimpse into the workings of the imperial court.
Overall, the Summer Palace is a must-see attraction in Beijing, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The Summer Palace (In Chinese: Yiheyuan) is a well preserved former imperial garden in northwest Beijing. It is only a short drive of 15 km from downtown Beijing, but it seems like another city! No tall buildings, just water and mountains.
⌛ It's an all season destination, but my favorites are spring and autumn!
🎟️ Entrance ticket: 20-60 RMB (Depending on the season)

Beijing Summer Palace in Winter! 😍
I must say the the Summer Palace in winter is a must see as well. We have visted the Summer Palace two times already and the first time was in Summer. Summer Palace offers different beautiful atmosphere and scenery in both seasons.
The Summer Palace served as the Imperial Garden during the Qing Dynasty and it is the best well preserved of its kind in the world. So, as a cultural and history buff I super enjoyed my time exploring this massive area and its attractions inside such as the Long Corridor, Kunming Lake d of course the Main Building. There's plenty
Heads up though, if you are going during high tourist season the qeues for the attractions and museums are pretty long so for this visit this time we just enjoyed strolling around and taking photos. The frozen lakes around us were so beautiful.
You can either go there by didi/taxi or by subway. Very accessible and it is not far from the Forbidden city, maybe around 30 min by car.

Summer Ticket Price :30
Enjoy your time in Beijing!

The Summer Palace in Beijing – first built in 1750, largely destroyed in the war of 1860 and restored on its original foundations in 1886 – is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value.

Enjoy the beauty & story of The Summer Palace
This summer palace is serenely decorated with peaceful internal courtyards embracing traditional Chinese architecture. I saw a lot of amatuer and professional photographers (with those huge expensive lenses) here taking photos with some Chinese models dressed in Hanfu.
On top of that it also has 51-Suite resort housed in a series of pavilions with some even date back over a century and were originally used by guests of the Empress. Lots of instagram and photogram worthy place.
Palaces, halls, pavilions, the long corridor, and the marble boat are the main things to see in the Summer Palace gardens.
Some of the attractions of The Summer Palace:
* Tower of Buddhist Incense (Foxiangge)
* Hall of Dispelling Clouds (Paiyundian)
* Hall of Benevolence and Longevity (Renshoudian)
* The Garden of Virtue and Harmony (Deheyuan)
* Sea of Wisdom (Zhihuihai)
* Hall of Jade Ripples (Yulantang)
* Hall of Joy and Longevity (Leshoutang)
* Suzhou Street
* The Marble Boat
* Kunming Lake and 17-Hole Bridge (Need a boat ride)
My favorite attraction is the long corridor and get this, it's 728 meters (2,388 feet) long! It was recognized as the longest corridor in the world (1992) and listed in "The Book of Guinness World Records". To locate this corridor you need to go to the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity (Renshoudian). According to the history this was the main place for administering government affairs, receive greetings, and receive foreign envoys.
Expect a LOT of breathtaking scenery of parks, serene lakes, and beautiful Chinese architecture. This place is so large that you need to spend half a day to truly explore this place. So be prepared to charge your phone and cameras full so you can take a lot of amazing photos. Bring extra batteries or fully charged your power bank cause you might need it.

Just show this phrase to the driver: 请带我去颐和园, which means "Please take me to The Summer Palace".

Summer Palace in Winter
The Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden still in existence in China and was used by the Chinese royal family as a vacation spot during the hot summer months.
About 3 square kilometers of pure Chinese beauty, its construction was started in 1750 and ended in 1764. It was since destroyed and rebuilt twice and in 1924 turned into a public park.
It is a great place to wander alone or to enjoy with family and friends. You can get a boat and drift on Kunming Lake, walk along the Long Corridor, or watch a traditional Chinese performance in the theatre.
You could spend half a day wandering the garden, taking in the peaceful scenery. It is especially pretty as the sun sets over the 17-hole bridge. After your visit, be sure to make your way over to The Old Summer Palace about 3km away.
