[Tokyo/Sugimori Shrine] Sugimori Shrine and Bettara Market
Sugimori Shrine enshrines Gosha Inari Okami and Ebisu Okami.
Gosha Inari Okami is a collective term for the five gods Uka no Mitama no Kami, Susanoo no Mikoto, Oichihime no Kami, and Onamuchi no Mikoto, the four great gods.
It is said to be one of the three forests of Edo, and during the Edo period, Ota Dokan established three shrines, Karasumori Shrine, Yanagimori Shrine, and Sugimori Shrine. As it is called a forest, the forest that was visible at the time is now completely gone and shrine buildings have been built! That's how it feels.
Since the Edo period, the Bettara Market festival has been held, and in the surrounding area, there is the Ebisu Shrine Festival, where food stalls are set up, including the sale of Bettara pickles.
There will also be music at the Kagura Hall, and you can see the lively Nihonbashi scene on October 19th and 20th!
