#staycation My berry loft-cation at Studio M Hotel and I want to show you how I level up my staycation experience. I went over to collect my pre-order truffle cheese macarons and brought it with me to Studio M hotel. I was told to consume it within 2 hours and my loft was not ready. So I left my bags at the reception and went over to Singapore River to have a quick bite. As the food festival was ongoing along the Singapore River, I was able to order more food and ate it along the river. It was a nice experience and there were no flies or mosquitoes around.

#staycation The space in between Memo cafe and Intercontinental Robertson Quay is a lush garden full of green walls and a habitat space to chill out. You can use it as a photoshoot area too. The menu at Memo Cafe always has promotions and they serve delicious coffee too. During lunch hours, they have a lunch set which is a good deal too. They also have their own wall garden inside the cafe and you can taste them in your food too. This farm to table cooking process is great! It also helps to reduce carbon emissions.

From Studio M lobby, there is a green wall and you can pass through it to enter Memo Cafe. You will not be able to identify that it is a door at first. It looks exactly like a green wall but it is actually a sliding door. So you will push it sideways to open it. If you choose to sit outdoors, there are also many hanging plants too.

It is an outdoor area so there is no air-conditioning. You will be directed to an available table by the staff. Then you can go around browsing their breakfast selection. Their breakfast items are limited but the refills are pretty fast. So you can always come back later to take more food. During self check in, you can also opt in for breakfast and the breakfast area will be at ground level at their Memo cafe (instead of Breeze).

This is also the breakfast area and inside here, you can find a pool table and washers and dryers for free. There are no extra charges and you can use the washer and dryer for your laundry. It is based on first come first served. So while you are waiting, you can kill time and play some pool too. Alternatively, you can bring along your ipad or read a book. Oh by the way, the nearest MRT will be Havelock MRT on the newly opened Thomson East Coast Line. Else, you can use the public buses too and there is a bus stop at Alkaff bridge.

For me, I prefer the jacuzzi pool area and it is spacious and you can space out yourself, even sitting too close to each other. At Studio M swimming pool, you will get views from Intercontinental Robertson Quay and it is lovely to spend your afternoon here. There are plenty of towels at the swimming pool and you also can get a good sun tanning session here.

You can sit inside or outside the restaurant. Even if you are not dining at the restaurant, you can sit here too when the sun tanning area by the swimming pool is full. It is airy and the whole area is decorated nicely with wall murals and artworks. If your loft-cation includes breakfast then you will come to Breeze. Take note that there is no air-con over here.

At Studio M, Live Laugh Loft is their slogan and you will live here inside the loft and have a great time. My studio loft is 22 sqm and both the shower area and the toilet are separated. My bed is on the lower floor which I feel is better for me to use the toilet whenever I need it. My upper floor is a recreation area and there is a sofa bed up there too. I really like their floor to ceiling windows and I wish my view is unblocked.

Not suited for talk people like me as they have a low ceiling at the top with the bed. I bumped into it a couple of times and the words that warned people of the low ceiling was too small. I had the room with breakfast provided, there were a couple of options. The breakfast place is right at the lobby which was convenient. Food was okay but I guess its pretty much café food. Overall its a good stay, comfy bed. But the only hassle is when need to go toilet need to climb down. #staycation

Staycay was fantastic at the Loft. We got the most basic room so that we could have the bed on the ground floor and have a high ceiling and full length window to look out from during our stay. + Near many amenities, Great World City for our grocery runs and a fantastic coffeeshop right beside it + Staff were friendly and hospitable + Room was clean and neat - Trashcans were disgusting on our upper floor work space with mouldy stains - Housekeeping seems to be understaffed, it took until ~1pm to get our room’s turn for cleaning - Random 3am call by staff asking if we ordered breakfast; they called twice when I didn’t answer the first time. It is definitely strange that they don’t keep track on which rooms ordered breakfast and inconvenienced us by waking BOTH of us up with the telephone call (also note that at the basic room, the telephone is on the upper floor so you have to get up from bed and head up the stairs to answer the phone) Price: 90 per pax Overall Rating: 4/5 #staycation

I have a thing for the Studio M Hotel, or any loft room actually. All the rooms in Studio M Hotel are loft rooms and that is why I'm particularly fond of it. Unlike their sister hotel, Social M, the hotel used bright and light natural tones for their rooms, creating an illusion that it's bigger. The room does requires a fair bit of maintaining as I found cracks and torn wall paper around the room. Their toilet and shower is separated beside the door and it's rather tiny. If you are claustrophobic and requires a big toilet, I suggest skipping this hotel. The hotel is located in an area with buzzing night lift. During the evening, I recommend couples to take a slow stroll along the river to bask in the atmosphere. There are plenty of food to eat around this area, from small shophouses kopitiam to the atas fancy restaurant. It comes with free breakfast but to be honest, you can get better breakfast across the road from the book cafe. Husband complained that the coffee is worse than nespresso and all the food are microwaved food. He gave the breakfast a 3/10. Service of the hotel was just passable. I tried emailing the hotel but I didn't get any reply for weeks. Gave up and decided to call them. They do not have a lot of staffs around but I reasoned that it's just a 4 stars hotel and I can't expect much at this price point. Will I be back? I booked this hotel after trying to book several others that were full on the dates I wanted. The loft attracted me and I liked the idea of going up the stairs to chill and work during the day. Though it was a little small, it was cosy, quiet and the view of the river made it a calming and peaceful environment to work or just relax. One of the most cozy bed i have ever slept on. Room was super cozy aswell. Beautiful location with the singapore river beside the hotel, wonderful nightlife with bars and restaurants nearby.

At Studio M Hotel, all rooms are a loft, which means a double story room with 2 different room configurations. The basic loft has its bed on the lower floor and the higher tier loft has its bed on the upper floor. Depending on which configuration you prefer, you can book accordingly. Once you enter the hotel lobby, you will enter into a super high ceiling lobby. The extra spaces above you make you feel spacious and roomy. This is exactly what Studio M wishes to portray at their hotel. This type of ceiling is also the best place to display chandeliers and large art pieces.

Hotel is clean and cosy, we enjoyed the breakfast very much. the poolside was nice.
