The lake has magnificent views and is so tranquil. When we arrived, we were pretty much the only ones there. We also spotted an island with a temple in the lake. I believe there are boat rides that can take you there, but the ticket office was closed and all the boats were tied to the jetty on that day. Nevertheless, it’s a huge scenic area and one can easily spend half a day there! There were many interesting things to do there such as cycling, and many other activities but one thing I really wanted to do there was to capture this shot of the temple on the lake#scenicspotguide This shot was one shot that I really wanted to get since I started doing drone photography in Suzhou, because it’s unlike anything you would see on a daily basis. so I headed out to this location which was a bit of a drive and when I finally arrived it was more majestic than o imagined. This place is HUGE! There were lovely views all round and very interesting sights. The fields are plentiful with limited restrictions so we were able to freely walk around, play badminton, and lie down on the grass. There are enough amenities (ie. bathrooms, vending machines) around for convenience. we had a lovely time seeing some flowers in bloom and hoped next time we get to try other activities like kayaking or pottery! The cafe had some really tasty dessert and coffee and the pottery section had really nice handmade trinkets. Xingchun Bridge was built in the Song Dynasty and is located halfway along Shangfangshan Road in the Shihu Scenic Area of Suzhou. It is a semi-circular arch bridge with nine arches and thin piers. The bridge runs east to west and is 54 meters long. It is 5.2 meters wide in the middle, with a central span of 5.3 meters and a height of 26 meters. To the west of Yuecheng Bridge, it spans the northern shore of Shihu Lake and is a nine-arched stone bridge originally built in the Song Dynasty. Every year on the 18th day of the eighth lunar month, it is said that each arch of the bridge reflects a moon in the water, forming a string of moons. The "Shihu String Moon" festival has become a local custom in Wu. The exact date of the bridge's initial construction is unknown, but it was rebuilt in the 16th year of the Chunxi era (1189) during the Southern Song Dynasty, as recorded by the poet Fan Chengda. Suzhou Stone Lake I went to Stone Lake unintentionally yesterday, -- I started from the west gate, there is not much on this road, it's like a park with few people, but it's very suitable for people to read and run, there are water fir and ginkgo, a corner where no one disturbs.
