It was a great experience overall. Took a fiery from New York city. It was a 20 minute ride to the Statue of Liberty island. It’s a great attraction for tourists and you can get lovely photos with the city skyline as well. We stayed there till sun set and managed to get great pictures with lovely views. The Statue of Liberty is located on a isolated island itself so the only way to get close or get onto the island area is by taking the water taxi. You can choose to just go on board on water taxi and tour around the island without getting off too. Which we did for this tour as this also can get us closer to the Statue of Liberty and also view other nearby attractions as well too. Water taxi prices are pretty expensive that starts from about $50 onwards and you can book it online or even on the Trip.com App which is a safer way as well to secure the seats. Who doesn't visit Statue Of Liberty when you are on vacation in New York City. There is only 1 way to the island of Statue Of Liberty, which is via ferry. Do go early as the queue gets INSANELY Long. We took about 90mins before we are able to get our tickets. Do check out for any discounts of certain apps, or via trip.com. As the tickets can be quite costly, i remember paying about $40 per person, but not sure if the price has increased since. As this is a very popular attraction in New York do plan your trip there. There are couple of things to do, like heading up to the top of statue of liberty, but this has extra charges on top of your entrance fee. You could also join the Promenade and Observatory Tour or have a self-guided tour of the liberty island which costs less than $10 per person. Their audio has different languages so you do not have to worry. If you worry about food, liberty island where the statue of liberty is has a huge cafe called the liberty crown cafe. They offer both eat in and take away options, and it has a huge food options but mainly western. Price wise, isn't too expensive to be honest due to the size of the burger. But i do recommend bringing your own water as the bottled drinks there are quite expensive, costing to $3USD or more. In addition, your ferry ticket will consist of Ellis Island which is another hour or so so take your time and have everything planned out before heading there. Ellis island used to be one of the busiest immigrant inspection station in the united states back in 1892 to 1924. LIBERTY 🗽 It was January of 2018 when I went here & I remember we rode a boat going into the Statue of Liberty. During the boat ride we were able to see the City and it was an amazing view. It was a chilly morning and I was freezing but I just couldn't not go here because I wanted to see how tall the statue is. Overall it was a great experience seeing this attraction.
