Cesky Krumlov is located in the southern part of the Czech Republic and many people affectionately call it the CK town. 🏠 The entire town is surrounded by the horseshoe bend of the Vltava River. The buildings are centered around a 13th-century castle in Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. There are many bridges of all sizes, and the streets are winding like a maze. It has experienced many changes of families and rulers, but fortunately avoided the European wars. The buildings in various styles of periods have been preserved intact, making it an outstanding example of a medieval ancient city in central Europe. 📜Must-dos: 1️⃣ Take a slow walk to experience the medieval atmosphere Medieval houses and towers can be seen everywhere in the town of CK, and under your feet are ancient cobblestone roads. There are small bridges and flowing water inside the city and green mountains outside the city. It has both a heavy sense of history and a fresh literary style. There is also a Christmas market in winter. 3️⃣Visit Cesky Krumlov Castle Founded in 1240, it is the second largest castle in South Bohemia and the representative and symbol of the town. Climb up the castle and you can see the winding Vltava River and the buildings with orange-red roofs. Use the semicircular window holes on the covered bridge as a frame to create a different world! The tower is open for public at 9am daily and be sure to go early in the morning to avoid the crowd and also the weather being too sunny. Entrance ticket for both the castle and tower is CK 180 per person. After touring the castle, you may go to another entrance for the tower. The stairs to the tower is quite narrow. I want to stay for two days next time. Eastern Europe that I definitely want to visit again! Cesky Krumlov!! It was truly the best place like a fairy tale^^

My journey began at the Budějovická brána, the grand gateway to the castle complex, where the magnificence of the State Castle immediately captivated me. Wandering through its historic halls and exhibitions, I could feel the echoes of its regal past. The Cloak Bridge was another highlight, an architectural marvel connecting the castle to the lush Castle Gardens. Standing on the bridge, I imagined the royal processions of old, while the gardens offered a peaceful retreat and sweeping views of the town. The Castle Tower provided the grand finale, offering panoramic vistas of Český Krumlov’s cobblestone streets, vibrant rooftops, and the winding Vltava River. Exploring the Old Town was equally enchanting. The narrow alleys led me to the Gothic splendor of St. Vitus Church and quirky shops like Botanicus and Koh-I-Noor, where I found unique souvenirs. A cozy lunch at the historic Hotel Růže let me savor the flavors of local cuisine in a setting rich with charm. Crossing Lazebnický most, I soaked in views of the serene Vltava River before ending my day at the Castle Tower, where the fairy-tale town unfolded beneath me.
