Known as the "Garden City", Kyiv is surrounded by lush forests and vast green spaces, as if it is the gentlest embrace of nature to the city. 🌳🌳🌳 With a total area of 827 square kilometers, it is the political, economic, and cultural center of Ukraine, and an important cradle of Eastern European civilization. 🏛️💰
The long river of history flows slowly in Kyiv. Since the end of the 6th century AD, the city has witnessed the rise and fall of the Slavic nation. 🏰📜 In 988, the Grand Duke of Kyiv Rus, Vladimir, accepted Orthodox Christianity. This historical event not only deepened the cultural exchanges between Kyiv and Byzantium, but also established its status as a religious and cultural center. 🕍💫
Entering the modern era, Kyiv still maintains its unique charm. High-rise buildings and ancient buildings reflect each other, showing the vitality of the city and the heaviness of history. 🏢🏰 Walking on the streets of Kyiv, you can feel the strong cultural atmosphere. The Hagia Sophia, not far from the Independence Square, is a holy place for the people of Kiev. The name of the church is a bit familiar, isnt it? Yes, this Byzantine-style Orthodox church is designed by the Ukrainian great monarch Yaroslav, according to the St. Sophia Cathedral in Istanbul, symbolizing "New Constantinople".
Step into the church door, the subtle changes in the light and the gas field, looking up, the huge dome is the symbol of the spiritual sky, all visible and invisible are under the protection of God, The sense of calm and awe is born from the bottom of my heart.
The walls of the church, the ornamentation of the cross and the murals of the Bible story can be seen everywhere
