St Katharine Docks
Hidden just by the more popular London's Tower Bridge is a Marina rich in history. St Katharine Docks is a former dock and now a mixed-used district in Central London, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and within the East End. It lies on the north bank of the River Thames, immediately downstream of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. It was commissioned by Queen Mathilda, the wife of King Stephen during the mid 1100.
The St Katharine dock is accessible via train through Fenchurch Street Station. It offers visitors a walk around the docks enjoying the boats and artwork and quay side dining experience.
