Historic buildings
This is a rare Hindu temple in Thailand. It has a typical Indian style and is very different from Buddhist temples in Thailand in terms of shape, color and sculpture. The roof of the temple is decorated with many statues of Hindu gods. There is a gilded copper dome on the top of the main building. Various Hindu gods can also be seen on the 6-meter-high outer wall of the temple. When you come here, you can feel to the Shiva, reproductive culture of Hinduism. The temple is also the center of the Banshee Festival, also known as the "Festival of Lights", which is very lively and plays Indian-style music during the event. An oil lamp ceremony is held at noon every day in the temple, and at 11:30 every Friday, there is also a vegetarian ceremony where believers can share some sacrificial food. The Tamils created this exotic Hindu temple in the 1860s. Although this is an Indian temple, many local Thais and Chinese often come to worship today because of the fusion of cultures. There are flowers and garlands at the entrance of the temple. It is not big on all sides, but there are quite a lot of people who come to worship and visit. Tourists need to pay attention to: photography is not allowed in the temple.
