Splendid Cultural Park: A naturally colorful urban forest
Splendid Cultural Park is located in the Huamu Town, Pudong New District, Shanghai. It starts from Qiancheng Road in the north, reaches Gaoke West Road in the south, starts from Jinrui Road in the west, and extends to the Bailianjing Protective Green Belt in the east, adjacent to the Pudong Cadre Institute.
The site of Splendid Cultural Park was originally a nursery. The design of the park after reconstruction is positioned to create a naturally colorful urban forest. Combining the overall spatial layout of the 'one park, three halls' area, the originally closed nursery was transformed into an open urban green space accessible and enjoyable for the public. Following the 'forest + greenway' park green space construction model, the focus was on creating a 'one belt, one loop' spatial structure. 'One belt' refers to the 'Ecological Vitality Belt' on the west side, which forms a good street exhibition corridor through the combination of flower seas and wooden walkways, while the wooden walkways under the forest create a winding and secluded landscape atmosphere. 'One loop' refers to the 'Ecological Slow-Walking Loop,' which creates an ecological slow-walking loop under the forest in the form of natural curves and integrates into the Pudong slow-walking greenway system.
The environment inside Splendid Cultural Park is really nice, but the security guard at the entrance very responsibly and seriously informs that bicycles, kites, badminton, football, basketball, tents, roller skating, skateboarding, etc., are not allowed inside, meaning it is only for walking, competitive walking, running...
