[2025 Docklands Attraction] Travel Guide for Southern Cross (Updated Feb)

#australiatrip I know is crazy but this is one of the experience that we wanted to try traveling from Melbourne ton Sydney by train. The train ticket as expensive as flight tickets . The train station in Melbourne is easy to find . There are also many got stall to sell food and express market for you to buy food . You can take the food onboard too. ✅be there at least 1 hour early if you not familiar with the train station . No one is checking out ticket when we enter to the train station . ✅ Checked in luggage for 20kg. If carrying any luggage you can checked in for free limit to 20kg. Anything more than 20kg they will not allowed you check in. You need to find the check in counter before you onboard . ✅every row has it own toilet located at the back of the seats. The toilet is clean and neat . ✅food onboard , no one is selling food onboard but there are a stall selling food onboard . Just follow the sign of “buffet” . ✅seat was okay, got a tray infront of of you. I take a window seat that’s is why I can have some good sleep. ❌no WiFi onboard so you need to use your own data . Suggest to pre download some movie becuase the network is really bad . I can’t event load my YouTube . If you want to save one night accommodation , this is the best way for you to traveling to Sydney by train. Cost effective :)

Southern Cross station is the biggest station in the city of Melbourne. All access to different cities and specially the center of Melbourne can be accessed here. Not only trains but the Skybus to the airport is available. Also the tram which is the most convenient since in the city center it’s free!
