Climbing Nanwudang Mountain is a challenge and a way of life
Take a leisure trip to Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangxi. Take the high-speed train from Meizhou to Longchuan, then transfer to Longnan. After leaving the station, take the bus to Longnan 704 Bus Team, and take the Longnan to Nanwudang intercity bus for CNY 10.5 to Nanwudang Visitor Center. However, it was already 3:40 pm when I arrived, and the staff at the visitor center told me that tickets were no longer being sold, mainly to protect the safety of tourists. I found a farmhouse next to the scenic area to stay for CNY 80. The small village was especially quiet at night, and the air was especially fresh due to the low temperature. I slept very well due to the fatigue of the journey and my good mood, which was really good for sleep and health.
Nanwudang Mountain is located in Wudang Town, Longnan City, at the border of Jiangxi and Guangdong, and is known as the gate of Jiangxi. Wudang Mountain has a main peak with an altitude of 864 meters, and 99 strange peaks rise abruptly from the ground, stretching for more than ten kilometers, like a beautiful picture.
The visitor center opens at 7 am. I arrived at the visitor center at around 7:30 am, bought a ticket, and started climbing the mountain. During the climb, the mountain was shrouded in mist, and people were in the scenery, appearing and disappearing, full of fairy spirit. The terrain of Nanwudang Mountain is not steep. Walking along the steps along the mountain, the scenery changes with each step, with strange rocks and majestic beauty. Two parallel peaks appear in front of you, with Wudang Peak to the south and General Peak to the north. The two peaks are like two giant elephants flying in the sky, known as "Double Elephants in the Sky." It takes about 40 minutes to reach the top of the mountain along the stone steps.
Among the peaks, "Divine Monkey Viewing the Scenery," "Dinghai Shenzhen," and "Golden Tortoise Coming Out of the Mountain" have a beautiful legend related to the sequel of Journey to the West. In fact, they are all people's beautiful imaginations of life.
Climbing Nanwudang Mountain is a challenge to oneself, overcoming nature, overcoming difficulties, and overcoming oneself, which is also a way of life.
