Yeongju Cultural Heritage Sosu Seowon
-Sosuseowon
Address: Naejuk-ri, Sunheung-myeon, Yeongju-si, Gyeongbuk
This is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is the first royally-appointed Seowon in Korea. It is quiet and peaceful, and there are pine trees, ginkgo trees, and bamboo trees planted around it, and the view of the forest in front of the house was really nice. Compared to today, Sosuseowon seems like a higher education institution. Before entering, you can see the Chui-dae in the distance, and there was a stepping stone bridge that you can cross the Jukgyecheon Stream. There is also a museum, and if you listen to the cultural guide's explanation and look around calmly, it would be good to set aside 2-3 hours. If you want to go on a summer vacation to a quiet place, give Yeongju Sosuseowon a vote!
