The Richmond Hotel on Granville Road
The hotel is located at 29A Granville Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. It takes about 3-4 minutes to walk from Exit B of Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station towards Granville Road. It is close to TheOne and Miramar Shopping Centre. There is also the same hotel, the Rutham Tsim Sha Tsui Hotel, at No. 20 on the same street, but they have different routes. The Rutham Tsim Sha Tsui Hotel has a nostalgic Hong Kong style, while the Rutham Granville has a traditional Thai style. There are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby. There is also a "Spicy Party" restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, which is very convenient for eating, drinking and having fun.
It is reported that the owner of Soravit on Granville is Thai, so this hotel adopts Thai style. It is also the first Thai-themed boutique hotel in Hong Kong. The hotel lobby is located on the 3rd floor and there are two elevators for going up and down. As soon as you enter the hotel lobby, you can already smell the Thai lemongrass scent. There are Thai Buddha statues and Thai decorations in the lobby and many places in the hotel, which are very unique! There are two computers in the lobby for guests to use the Internet. The check-in procedure is also simple. You only need to fill in some simple information and pay a $500 deposit before you can get the key card and go to your room.
The room is relatively large compared to other hotels of the same level. The rooms are designed in Thai style and are equipped with basic facilities such as electric kettle, tea cups, open wardrobe, hair dryer, safe and eco-friendly slippers. However, there is no bottled water, tea bags or coffee bags provided. There are plenty of power sockets in the room but no USB charging plugs, which is not convenient for updating! The big bed and pillows were very comfortable, the wall-mounted TV was big enough and provided Netflix and YouTube.
The toilet and shower room are separated by a glass door, separating wet and dry areas, and the sanitary conditions are good. The toiletries are relatively simple, with only a 2-in-1 shower shampoo, a toothbrush set and a large towel, but no small towels or anything else.
Overall, the hotel environment is comfortable and the sleep quality is very good, but the facilities are not sufficient and complete. However, the price is reasonable, the CP value is good, and the cost performance is high. It is worth recommending!
