Songtsam Shangri-La is amazing! The Tibetan style is stunning!
🌟Highlights:
Staying at Songtsam is more comfortable than going home. Amazing!
Green Valley is next to Songzanlin Monastery, and it has a quiet and peaceful power. I love this Tibetan-style building, with prayer flags, Buddha statues, thangkas, Tibetan carpets, and distant temples, all of which make me feel calm.
Songtsam Shangri-La Green Valley
The hotel is said to be built on the founder's ancestral home, where Songtsam started, so it is especially precious. The rooms are bright and have a sense of stability, and the bedding is comfortable. There is a restaurant, bar, and library, which are suitable for a short vacation and relaxation.
I stayed in a deluxe king room for 2 nights, which was expensive but worth it.
Songzanlin Monastery tickets, airport transfer, breakfast, goodnight drinks, Songtsam Museum visit, afternoon tea~~ The cars are Land Rovers and Mercedes-Benz, and the drivers are Tibetans, who are very attentive and provide snacks and mineral water. The view from the window is open, and the most beautiful view of the temple is your window view, so you don't have to search for it.
The service is excellent.
The butler service is well-deserved, with the unique shyness, simplicity, and thoughtfulness of the Tibetan people. I even like to hear their Mandarin with an accent. You can also book experiences such as thangka, meditation, hiking, camping afternoon tea, and off-road vehicles. There are many Tibetan artifacts, which are worth seeing to learn about Tibetan culture, including thousand-year-old Shakyamuni Buddha statues and thangkas.
They even gave me 2 tickets to Songzanlin Monastery. I didn't even notice that they gave me tickets when I placed the order. What a pleasant surprise!
Songzanlin Monastery is a must-see, with a history of over 400 years. The "Little Potala Palace" is only 2 minutes away from the hotel. Dukezong Ancient Town, Moonlight City, and the Tea Horse Road. Napa Lake, to see the wetland grassland landscape and feel the vast wind.

Shop Exploration: Shangri-La Songtsam Green Valley Hotel
Songtsam, a boutique hotel group deeply rooted in Tibetan culture in China.
Centered around the Himalayas, it is laid out along the Yunnan-Tibet line, creating a hotel group with a 'loop' concept.
The founder, Baima Dorji, was once a director of CCTV documentaries, and the pure Tibetan areas in his documentaries are very desirable.
Songtsam's hotels are always hidden deep in the mountains. Connecting to the hidden landscapes that people yearn for, it perfectly matches its slogan 'Gateway to the Secret Realm.'
It can be said that without Songtsam, the places it reaches would almost be inaccessible.
Songtsam Green Valley, also known as Songtsam Shangri-La, is the first Songtsam hotel and its headquarters. It started in 2001 and is located in Kena Village at the foot of Songzanlin Monastery.
Kena Village once borrowed the status of Songzanlin Monastery, being the center of religion and economy, but today it is quietly somewhat desolate.
An unassuming Tibetan-style earth and wood structure building, built on the foundation of the old house where the hotel creator Baima Dorji grew up. The rooms are uniquely designed in Tibetan style, with 18 cozy and comfortable rooms that are rustic and elegant. Handmade bathroom copper basins, key tags, Tibetan carpets, and decorations, each meticulously crafted.
The hotel is located in an unknown place called Geji Nong, a small Tibetan village with only five households. On one side of the hotel is the majestic Meili Snow Mountain, and on the other side is a Tibetan village and forest nourished by the snow mountain.
The hotel has Building 1 (Meili Snow Mountain view) and Building 2 (valley view).
The three-story hotel is entirely made of wood, with a total of 17 rooms. Thanks to the hotel's unique geographical location, every room in Building 1 offers a panoramic view of the five peaks of Meili Snow Mountain.
Every day, the staff will light the fire early in the book bar and arrange breakfast because guests can enjoy the view of the sun shining on the golden mountain here.
Dinner can also be arranged on the terrace, by the fire, with the snow mountain right in front of you. If you are lucky and the weather is good, the hotel will organize a bonfire party.

The beauty of the Lama Temple in Shangri-La.
The Lama Temple, Songzanlin Monastery, is a significant and large temple in the city of Shangri-La. Located on a mountain over 3,000 meters above sea level, it is more than 300 years old. The temple's architecture is modeled after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, earning it the nickname 'The Little Potala Palace'. Some visitors may experience health issues due to the high altitude, as warned by the Consulate General in Kunming, necessitating the preparation of portable oxygen.

Shangri-La Songzan Green Valley Hotel
In Shangri-La, stay in a room like a painting
At 7:45 in the morning, waking up is the first picture of this kind of scenery, like a dream, beautiful like a painting, one of the most correct decisions to come to Shangri-La this time is to stay in Songzan Green Valley Hotel.
The Green Valley Hotel is a very traditional but distinctive Tibetan architecture, ten minutes away from Songzanlin Temple, the room is not big, but the scenery is excellent, facing Ram Yangtso Lake, the window view at every moment of the day is very beautiful
On the first day to Shangri-La, we have mild altitude sickness, headache and want to vomit, fortunately, Songzan has an oxygen machine, and they brewed us their own developed plateau vitality powder bag, very effective! My symptoms eased in about half an hour, their service attitude is very good in all aspects, this point can be full marks.
And the hotel's meals are very rich and delicious, especially the sour water hot pot, the newly opened Qu Ni Ka pizza next door is also good, if you go to live, you must taste~
