For a lively Songkran Festival experience in Bangkok, I recommend Silom Road, the second largest 'battlefield' of the Bangkok Songkran Festival. Silom district is a well-known old business district in Bangkok, dubbed as Thailand's Wall Street and Little Tokyo, a place of modern urban life and bustling commerce. Silom Road is the main commercial avenue within the Silom district and one of Bangkok's international streets. During the Songkran Festival, the two main avenues on either side will be closed off, becoming one of the liveliest main battlefields of the festival, with 'combatants' from many countries gathering here, creating a very lively scene. The crowd is dense, moving forward like a parade, and the atmosphere is really great! You can 'fight' while walking, and there is water available on both sides of the road for replenishment. In the central area of the road, there is a special stage for live music performances, where everyone sings and dances, and it's really joyful! For those who do not wish to participate in the water throwing, you can go directly to the overpass, which offers a great view.
