The King Taksin the Great Shrine in Chanthaburi
The King Taksin the Great Shrine in Chanthaburi is located on the left side of the entrance to the 2nd Infantry Battalion, Taksin Camp. The shrine is a nine-sided building with a spire-shaped roof resembling a hat. Inside, there is a statue of King Taksin the Great. Nearby is the City Pillar Shrine of Chanthaburi, which has long been a place of worship for the people of Chanthaburi. Thai and foreign tourists who visit Chanthaburi come to pay their respects for good fortune and to remember the great deeds of King Taksin. In the past, he stayed in Chanthaburi to gather forces to reclaim independence from Burma, which he successfully achieved. Every year on December 28th, the anniversary of his ascension to the throne, there is a merit-making ceremony and offerings to honor his great contributions in restoring Ayutthaya. It is recommended to park your car next to the City Pillar Shrine and walk across to the King Taksin Shrine for convenience.

This is a nine-sided building with a statue of King Taksin inside. It is considered a spiritual place for the people of Chanthaburi Province.
