Famous Snoqualmie Falls
Snoqualmie Falls is a 268-foot waterfall in the northwest United States, located east of Seattle on the Snoqualmie River between Snoqualmie and Fall City, WA. It is one of Washington's most popular scenic attractions and is known internationally for its appearance in the cult television series Twin Peaks. This is one of the most popular scenic attractions that can receive 1.5m visitors especially in summer and spring. But winter, it feels that you are almost alone at times.
The falls has 2 lookout point, 1 right at the top and the bottom closer to the falls. As this was taken during winter, the lower lookout to the falls is currently closed due to it's really icy and slippery path. This is also a very popular hiking trail with a 2.5km hike return. It is a generally easy route for many and it takes approx 45mins - 60mins to complete, it is so popular especially during summer that you will often see hikers. Coming to Snoqualmie Falls in winter feels like a winter wonderland, the view is astonishing.
Do also take note that although the entrance fee is free there is a parking charges of $5.

Epic sunrise views deep in the Washington wilderness. This was the view from my camp spot! I spent the previous night camping at the blue lake down below.

Late autumn in Seattle.
For those planning to visit Seattle in fall or winter, read on!
Autumn in Seattle is like an unfinished poem, with nature's gentle brushstrokes painting mesmerizing scenes across the city. As the first autumn breeze blows, it brings a hint of coolness, sweeping away the summer's hustle and bustle, and ushering in tranquility and harmony. At this time, Seattle seems to be under a spell, transforming from a bustling city to a calm one, from fiery to gentle.
Tips
The temperature difference between day and night in Seattle is large, so it's recommended to wear more clothes and carry an umbrella with you.
Even if you don't have a car, Seattle is still friendly. You can choose to take the light rail, bus (it's recommended to prepare cash or buy a bus card), or tram, which is very convenient for traveling to and from tourist attractions.
✅Must-visit places:
1️⃣Mount Rainier National Park
In autumn, Mount Rainier not only has fiery maple leaves but also a magnificent combination of snow-capped mountains and lakes. From the highlands in the Paradise area, you can see the maple forests at the foot of the mountain, like flames surrounding the snow-capped peaks, with distinct layers and spectacular scenery. At sunset, the setting sun dyes the maple leaves golden, forming a sharp contrast with the cool tones of the snow-capped mountains, making for stunning photos.
2️⃣Snoqualmie Falls
In autumn, the waterfall looks like a magnificent oil painting, with water rushing down from a height, bringing the coolness of the autumn breeze. The surrounding maple trees become colorful, with red, yellow, and orange interwoven, like a natural frame for the waterfall. It's a great place for a day trip to see the maple leaves! The best photo spot is at the viewing platform, where you can clearly see the mist from the waterfall, echoing the colorful maple forests around. When the sun shines on the mist, you might even see a rainbow.
3️⃣Washington Park Arboretum
You don't have to leave the city to experience the strong autumn atmosphere! This hidden gem park in the city has a rich variety of maple leaves, from golden to fiery red, with rich layers, making it perfect for a family autumn outing.
