Travel Plog | Auckland is just right as a transit stop for a trip to New Zealand
||June trip to New Zealand, with Auckland as the first and last stop, actually the total time spent before and after is just 24 hours. For a trip with a relatively tight schedule, this place is just right as a transit stop.
Although it's not very cold in Auckland in June, the rainy weather forced the cancellation of plans to visit Devonport and Mount Eden, so the only attractions in Auckland are the Sky Tower to downtown, Queen Street, the art gallery, and Albert Park, as well as a stroll around the University of Auckland campus. Half a day is enough for a round trip.
If the schedule is tight, you don't even need to go downtown, the art gallery and Albert Park are enough. The art gallery helps to understand the history and aesthetic values of a place, and the park gives a glimpse into the local lifestyle.
If the schedule is even tighter, it's not a pity to just transfer to the South Island. Although the photos may look good, the city of Auckland doesn't have much appeal. Overall, Auckland is more expensive than the South Island, and the city is not as tidy as Christchurch or Queenstown, with a worse experience on rainy days.

Mom said, just read this before going to New Zealand
I stayed in New Zealand for a week and really didn't want to leave... I saw all kinds of beautiful scenery, pure starry sky, blue glaciers, flowers all over the mountains, dreamy and magical firefly caves, various magnificent landscapes of forests, wilderness, snow mountains and fjords, 9-11 months are the spring and summer of the southern hemisphere in New Zealand, just the opposite of our autumn here, the weather is slightly warm, flowers are blooming, really super recommended!

New Zealand is divided into the North and South Islands. The city scenery of the North Island is relatively more, with Auckland Sky Tower, Hobbiton; the natural scenery of the South Island really shocks people! There are famous Mount Cook, Franz Josef Glacier, Lake Wanaka, Good Shepherd Church Milford Sound. In addition, Queenstown is also here, it is a paradise for extreme sports~ Dunedin Church and Christchurch are also famous destinations, Christchurch is known as the garden city, people say it is "the city most like Britain outside Britain"
Queenstown
Queenstown, a beautiful town surrounded by the Southern Alps, can almost be said to be the business card of New Zealand tourism~ Located on the north shore of New Zealand's Lake Wakatipu, adjacent to the former gold mining area-Arrow Town, there are still remnants of Chinese gold mining in New Zealand-Chinese Village, countless travelers are attracted by its natural scenery, and many extreme sports enthusiasts will also come here specially,
Bungee jumping, skydiving! Enjoy the beauty of Queenstown
Fox Glacier
Rated by CNN as "50 Places to Go in Life"! The glacier in the Southern Alps, you can experience glacier hiking, natural ice cave exploration, this is really fun! But pay attention to cold protection and warmth, it is best to be led by professional personnel and wear professional equipment!
Lake Wanaka
Lake Wanaka on the South Island of New Zealand, famous for a lone tree in the lake, has attracted countless photographers and artists. Tourists can also come here for fishing, picnicking, and walking, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the quiet moment, even if you do nothing, just quietly appreciate, you can be well healed here.
Good Shepherd Church:
It is a church named after a sculpture of a shepherd dog, which is a tribute to the shepherd dogs who helped open up the farmland area in the past, which is very commemorative~ And it is a unique Gothic wooden stone structure building, which can be said to be unique in New Zealand. Looking out from the window of the church altar, you can also see the magnificent scenery of the Southern Alps, many newlyweds will choose to get married here!

Auckland, based around 2 large harbour , is a major city on the north of New Zealand’s north island. For my trip I did a self walking tour around the downtown with main attraction the iconic sky tower and also the Viaduct harbour , which is full of super yachts and along side with cafe and bars. There are also many seafood restaurants along the waterfront. also at the waterfront it best to take a picture with back drop of the city skyline.
If you are the All Blacks fans there is a fan shop at the harbour area selling all the game related merchandise.
The downtown shopping street is also a must to visit to buy some local products and gifts .
In short Auckland is a nice and relax city with affordable food and drink #tripblazers #fallingforfall

1. Sky Tower
The Sky Tower is a landmark of Auckland. It is integrated with other buildings to form the massive Sky City. The Sky Tower has three glass elevators that rise at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour, taking you to the observation deck and revolving restaurant at the top in just 40 seconds, where you can overlook the entire city of Auckland like an angel. It is recommended to go there in the evening, watch a beautiful sunset first, and as night falls, you can also overlook the night view of Auckland.
2. Mount Eden
Mount Eden is located about 5 kilometers south of Auckland's city center, with a height of 196 meters. It is one of the taller volcanic cones in Auckland and a natural high point of the city. There is a lookout at the summit, where you can enjoy the urban scenery of Auckland.

Queen Street is an important commercial street in Auckland. The street is about 3 kilometers long, starting from the Auckland waterfront area in the north to Karangahape Road in the south. Auckland's yacht perspective of Chinese red
The first photo is a symbol of celebrating the New Year overseas with Chinese red.
The waterfront yacht base at dusk.
Looking across the sea at Auckland's iconic building, the Sky Tower, which displays Chinese red due to the Chinese Spring Festival, making Chinese people proud and grateful for New Zealand's respect for the Chinese community.
New Zealand's largest city, Auckland, is full of festive atmosphere.
The entrance to the iconic Sky Tower complex is very eye-catching with 'Chinese red'.
Tourists to New Zealand are always attracted by the tens of thousands of yachts in Auckland.
In the azure bay, a variety of yachts either dock densely at their berths or sail through the sea with colorful sails, becoming a beautiful landscape.
Aucklanders love to set sail, obsessed with their 'three B's' activities: going to the beach, boating, and having barbecues.
Locals often take every opportunity to carry picnic equipment and polypropylene 'coolers' filled with frozen beer, heading to the nearest beach or harbor in groups, a spectacular sight.

Auckland Sky City, definitely a place to go, the city in the center of the Sky Tower, climb the top of the tower, you can come to a 360-degree view of the entire city of Auckland. But the most important thing is that here you can also play the super-exciting extreme sports. The
sky tower is 328 meters high and is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. In front of the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the bay volcano, the island plain, the urban forest, and it is really a super beautiful view point.
Such a blue sky, like a cloud in a cartoon, and a clean street, many roads in Auckland are ups and downs, most of the city is built on a hillside, the layers are very beautiful.
There is also a super-stimulating extreme sport on the Sky Tower: Skywalk and SkyJump, because the weather is also very demanding for the weather, winds, heavy fog and other weather will cause the project to close. But we are very lucky that SkyJump can still be played.
In the sky tower, the romance of the long white cloud town, the so-called will be the top of the summit, a list of small mountains, probably said that is the feeling.
Tip:
[SkyJump]
Cost: 225 NZD (adult)
