Off the Beaten Path: Beijing Ming City Wall Relics Park
❤ Why we recommend it:
The Ming City Wall was 25 km long and was built in 1419, over 600 years ago. The remaining section of the wall from Chongwenmen to the southeast corner tower is 1.5 km long. It is the only remaining section of the original inner city wall and is a symbol of Beijing.
🌟 Highlights:
There is a small exhibition in the southeast corner tower that introduces the 16 gates of the inner and outer city walls. If you like architecture and history, don't miss it.
Beijing Railway Station is on the north side of the wall, so you can see trains arriving. The tallest building in Beijing, CITIC Tower, is to the northeast, where history and modernity meet.
⏳ Time needed: 1–2 hours
👍 Our top tip: There is a coffee shop on the wall called Lotus Coffee. Sit down, look at the brick wall and the sky, and enjoy the sunshine.

11. How many people come to Beijing just for this window!
Passing by the Ming City Wall Relics Park, I thought of this window 🪟, the red leaves are 50% complete, just right, beautiful as imagined 🍁🍁. (P1-P5)
There is also a red maple tree in the garden that is already red (P6), and several ginkgo trees, with 40% of the leaves fallen, but it does not affect the viewing, and it is still full of golden eyes. (P7-P8)

A hidden gem for autumn scenery.
There is a hidden gem for autumn scenery in the second ring road of Beijing, which is absolutely stunning - the Ming City Wall Relics Park. I went there again yesterday, and I must strongly recommend it today! There are few people and beautiful scenery, which is intoxicating!
It is especially worth mentioning the small scene composed of pavilions and maple trees in the north section of the park. The maple leaves are red and warm, and with the ancient buildings, it seems like you are in Kyoto, and the photos are super beautiful! There are not only ginkgo trees in the park, but also many red trees that I can't name. On the way to the south section, there is a red wall that is particularly beautiful. At the foot of Dongbianmen, you can also take pictures of trains and the China Zun!
If you drive there, you can navigate to the Ming City Wall, where there is a parking lot; if you choose to take the bus, it is recommended to get off at Jianguomen South. If you have time on the weekend and don't want to go too far, this place is definitely worth a visit!

The Ming City Wall Relics Park is full of autumn charm.
As early winter arrives, the Ming City Wall Relics Park is full of colorful autumn scenery. The ginkgo trees are golden and radiant, and the maple leaves are dyed red by the autumn. Behind the southeast corner tower of the Ming City Wall, in the small park on the east second ring road, the Begonia Square Pavilion and the colorful leaves on the ancient city wall are particularly beautiful. This park is part of the Ming City Wall Relics Park, next to the East Second Ring Road. Take bus 44, 43, 20, or 63 to Jianguomen South Station, and you will arrive in a few dozen meters. Now is the perfect time to capture the autumn charm.

A Touch of Red by the Model Worker Wall, Ming City Wall Relics Park, Beijing.
Late autumn has arrived in Beijing. On the west side of the Ming City Wall Relics Park, the tall maple leaves sway in the autumn wind, bringing a touch of red and orange. The Model Worker Wall at the west end of the park has stood for nearly a decade. The names of the city's model workers, who are dedicated to their work and have outstanding skills and contributions, are engraved on the blue and white stones by year. Colorful trees are planted around the wall. After mid-October, the maple leaves turn red. The red is bright and vibrant, especially in the evening sun. Children play and pick up red leaves in front of the wall after school. Under the ancient city wall, the red is a tribute to modern life and a beautiful sight. The Ming City Wall Relics Park, located near Beijing Railway Station, is an open park from west to east and is free of charge.

The Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics Park in Chongwenmen, Beijing, offers a glimpse into the city's history and is a well-known spot for viewing plum blossoms.
The park is home to the longest remaining section of the Ming Dynasty City Wall and the Southeast Corner Tower. Although the wall and tower are in ruins, they still showcase the grandeur of the past. The tower is tall, the city wall is wide, and you can see Qianmen to the west and the CBD to the east. The park is also home to the most famous plum garden in Beijing. In spring, the plum blossoms are in full bloom and their fragrance fills the air. The park also features towering ancient trees that complement the ancient city wall.

City Park in Beijing
#springblossom
Experienced a beautiful park in Beijing called Ming City Walk Ruins Park. It's not a usual park, but it has a long history from Ming Dynasty of China. They also put some stories related to the history of the walls around the park. So, visitors can read and understand more about it. Moreover, the flowers blooming along the way, made it look more beautiful. The park is basically free entrance, but if you want to enter some parts, they might have entrance fee (should be around 10 RMB).

Came here for enjoying the beauty of Beijing as well as the history of the place. The name of this spot is Beijing Ming City Walk Ruins Park. Located in Dongcheng District, Beijing. Very close to Chongwenmen metro station. I recommend you to visit this park when you have free time in Beijing, at least one and half hour to fully experience the park and its history. There are so many pretty flowers blooming here during spring too. Don't worry, you won't get lost since they put some maps inside the park ✨

Beijing Mingcheng Wall Ruins Park has a splendid spring flower, stretching over a kilometer of plum blossoms, forming a Chinese painting under the breeze and the ancient brick wall of the Ming City Wall.
Come on the Ming City Wall overlooking the scenic area, feel the depth of history and modern beauty, so harmonious and complement each other. The pier of Beijing/Mingcheng Wall Relics Park is 39 meters long. The historical Ming Dynasty Wall is 25 kilometers long. It was built in Ming Yongle for 17 years and has a history of 600 years.
The best way to take pictures to avoid the crowd is closer to the city wall. The park is free, and the flowering period is concentrated from March to April.
