We were just strolling Phnom Penh after visiting temples and we got into this beautiful park by the side the river.
Technically not on our itinerary but worth the discovery. So, when we go back to Phnom Penh soon, we will for sure include this on the list already 😁
We enjoyed the view and the breath of fresh air. There are also a lot of good restos nearby.
📍Address: Preah Sisowath Quay, Phnom Penh Cambodia
⏰ Just a public park so basically open 24 hours but we highly suggest to visit in the late afternoon to enjoy sunset 🌅

Riverside in Phnom Penh 🇰🇭
#winhkflight
Riverside park is located along the bank of Tonle Sap River and the park extends till the merging point of Tonle Sap River with Mekong River.
This street, lined with many shops selling souvenirs, restaurants, cafes and bars, is a popular hangout place for the locals and a tourist attraction, which gets crowded during the weekends and holidays.
Great place for a evening walk. Various boat ride options available here. A boat ride usually costs 5-10$ per person and lasts for 1-1.5 hours.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to explore the nature and cultural heritage!

Life along the Tongle Sap ⛴️🍢🪁
Rivers have always brought along with it bustling commercial activities around the world (think Mekong River Delta, River Thames, Ganges River). Sisowath Riverside Park, located along the banks of the Tonle Sap River just before it meets with the Mekong River, is no different.
Walking along Sisowath Riverside Park in Phnom Penh was a vibrant immersion into the heartbeat of Cambodian life. The bustling promenade teemed with activity as locals went about their daily routines - recreational fishermen casted their lines into the Tonle Sap River, families picnicked on the grass patches, kids played happily on the banks of the river, food vendors lined the pathway with their aromatic offerings and ferries ferried the everyday man across the banks during the evening rush hour. All these sights, sounds and smells really invigorated my senses. It was really as local as it could get in Phnom Penh.
Amidst this backdrop, the city's modern buildings and heavy traffic also contrasted with the palace grounds and temples nearby, a testament to Cambodia's dynamic blend of past and present and also perhaps an optimistic sign of a country on the rise.

I want to visit Hong Kong as it is truly a paradise for food lovers like me! I'm drooling just thinking about devouring dim sum at Tim Ho Wan, slurping noodles at Mak's Noodle, and feasting on roast goose at Yat Lok. Can't wait!

Sisowath Riverside Park, Cambodia
Down By The River. Neil Young fans will get it. 🎸
Welcome to the Phnom Penh Boardwalk. Not too much going on during the day, but at night, the Riverside comes alive with skaters, joggers and people out for a stroll. You can hop on a riverboat cruise or just sit on a bench and watch the sunset.
If you walk north, you'll run into the Night Market and several tour boat operators. In the other direction, you'll find an exercise area and a few more tour boat services. And if you cross the street, you'll run into the 136-Street red-light bar district.
If you're hungry you'll also find a wide variety of outdoor cafes and restaurants, including my go-to outdoor patio cafes', Titanic and New Corner Restaurant, featuring a western menu, 75 cent Angkor draft beer, fruit shakes and possibly the best western breakfasts in town.

Riverside night view of Phnom Penh

Highly recommended to visit this place at night from 7pm. There are some good restaurants in front of the river. You can take the boat and buy some food and chill in the boat. The boat will drive you to see around the river. I think you can have good times with friends and family if you take the boat to new experiences with them. Hope you can enjoy your trips in Phnom Penh.

I love you. Today. Right now. Just as you are. And I know, with time we will change. We will evolve. We will grow. And I hope we do all of it together."
