Sisi Museum 👑👸🏼 @ Vienna
Sisi Museum
Address: Michaelerkuppel, 1010 Wien, Austria
The Sisi Museum is massive, the ground level is the silverwear collection and the upper level is the imperial apartment. Upon entry, you will be given a free audio device for audio guide.
I wasn’t interested in silverware but this museum changed my mind!! I was in awed by how grand silverwear could be!!! We weren’t allowed pictures at the imperial apartment but it was largely about Sisi’s dresses and old home
Note: the museum was super busy and packed during my visits and there were loads of visiting tours…
Vienna Tips: Purchase a Vienna Pass, it includes entry tickets for a lot of different attractions including the Sisi Museum (+ no need to queue) and free hop on hop off bus !!

Vienna, the world capital of music - Schengen visa.
Here are some things to keep in mind when visiting Vienna:
1. Language:
• The official language of Austria is German. Although many people speak English, knowing some basic German phrases will make your trip more convenient, such as greetings, thanks, apologies, and other simple expressions. In some traditional or non-tourist areas, you may encounter difficulties communicating in English.
• When communicating with locals, avoid sensitive topics such as money, religion, or politics to avoid unnecessary embarrassment or conflict.
2. Time and seasons:
• Vienna is in the Eastern European Time Zone, which is 7 hours behind Beijing time. Daylight saving time may be adjusted, so be sure to check the local time before you travel.
• Vienna is cold in winter, with temperatures as low as -10°C or lower. If you are traveling in winter, be sure to dress warmly. However, indoor heating is available, so you can wear less indoors. Summer is cooler, but the UV rays are strong on sunny days, so be sure to wear sunscreen.
3. Spending and payment:
• Austria is in the Eurozone, so it is necessary to prepare a coin purse in advance, as coins are used for amounts under 2 euros. Some small shops may not accept large bills of 100, 200, or 500 euros, so be sure to exchange some small bills in advance.
• When dining in a restaurant, the price usually does not include a tip, so you will need to pay an additional 5% to 10% tip to thank the service staff.
• Some restaurants may charge for hot water, so be sure to ask before ordering.
4. Transportation:
• Vienna has a well-developed public transportation system, but tickets are checked from time to time. If you are caught without a ticket, you will be fined 100 euros, so be sure to buy and carry a valid ticket.
• If you choose to take a taxi, be sure to check if the taxi has a valid operating sign to avoid taking an illegal taxi.
5. Accommodation:
• Like most hotels in Europe, hotels in Vienna generally do not provide toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, and slippers, so you will need to bring your own.
• When staying in a hotel, be sure to keep your personal belongings safe and close the doors and windows when you leave the room.
6. Sightseeing:
• Vienna has many famous museums, palaces, and other attractions, such as the Hofburg Palace, Schönbrunn Palace, and the Sisi Museum. Be sure to check the opening hours and ticket information in advance and book in advance to avoid delays due to too many tourists.
• When visiting religious sites such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, be sure to be quiet and respectful and follow the rules and etiquette of the site.
• Some popular attractions in Vienna are crowded, so be sure to keep your belongings safe to avoid theft.

Magical Vienna 🇦🇹
#traveldiaries
I just returned from a fantastic trip to Vienna’s city center, and I’m already dreaming of going back! 🇦🇹 The blend of history, art, and culture is simply captivating. I started my day at the iconic St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which has free entry, though I paid €5 to climb the tower for a breathtaking view of the city.
The vibrant Stephansplatz is a great place to soak in the atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful architecture. I also visited the Hofburg Palace, where the entrance fee was around €15, and it was fascinating to explore the imperial apartments and the Sisi Museum. Afterward, I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the Burggarten, a lovely park perfect for unwinding. Don’t forget to stop by a local café for a slice of Sachertorte—it’s a must! Vienna’s city center is a treasure trove of experiences.

The Forgotten European Top Student - Austria
🌟Highlights:
🫅When it comes to European royalty, the first thing that comes to mind is probably 🇫🇷France or 🇪🇸Spain.
But have you ever thought that the most powerful royal family is in the often forgotten 🇦🇹Austria - the Habsburg dynasty.
🫅This dynasty is the most powerful and widely ruled royal family in European history, having ruled the Holy Roman Empire, the Kingdom of Spain, the Grand Duchy of Austria, the Austrian Empire, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Because of this, the whole of Austria is full of elegant artistic temperament, a forgotten European top student.🧑🎓
💗Travel Feelings:
You may have heard that European royal families are all related👬, this has a lot to do with this dynasty. Their romantic character, their rule is more maintained by marriage, and they do not like to fight. For this dynasty, there is a queen like 'Wu Zetian'👸, who had sixteen children, only one of whom was a free love, and the other fifteen👶children were married to various royal families. Even Louis XIV, Louis XVI, and Napoleon, whom we are familiar with, are relatives of this dynasty.
Because of the long-term rule, when you enter this country and taste it carefully, you can see the royal family's 'enjoy the present' attitude towards life in the later period, just like the old Chinese saying 'not love the country, love the beauty'. Here 'beauty', on the one hand, is the pursuit of romantic love, on the other hand, is the pursuit of elegant art. This also buried a hidden danger for the decline of the royal family in the later period.
🗓Itinerary:
1️⃣Melk - the European artery flowing through the countryside,
2️⃣Attersee - the God-given treasure scattered among the mountains,
3️⃣Bad Ischl - the engagement place of Princess Sissi, the town of romance,
4️⃣Salzburg - the city of rhythm, the oldest baroque in Europe,
5️⃣Rupolding - the stunning King's Lake,
6️⃣Neuschwanstein Castle - the king with superb artistic attainments and tragic ending,
7️⃣Munich - the city of classic cars, BMW and the majestic palace, the life of a tycoon,
8️⃣Hallstatt - a small town with a combination of fairy and spiritual aura,
9️⃣Vienna - the poignant story of the Habsburg dynasty and Princess Sissi.
