An article to take you to Luang Prabang🛺
This is my second time in Luang Prabang.
What are the special attractions worth visiting?
I don't think so.
Compared with the surrounding Southeast Asian countries, Laos' tourism resources are too poor.
But it has a magical power that makes people slow down unconsciously.
I want to stay here quietly for a whole day or a week.
Even a month.
This is a good place for staying in the hotel, daydreaming, and slow traveling.
Walking lazily,
Lazy feeling.

Places worth visiting:
🔸Wat Xieng Thong: The most magnificent temple in Luang Prabang. The main hall represents the classic Luang Prabang temple architectural style, with a spectacular tree of life pattern inlaid on the back wall.
🎫Ticket: 20000KIP
🔸Royal Palace Museum: The former royal palace of Luang Prabang. No bags are allowed inside the museum, so remember to store your bag at the theater at the beginning, otherwise you will have to go back to store your bag before reaching the museum. Taking photos is also prohibited in the museum, and there are strict dress code requirements, shoulders cannot be exposed, and long pants/skirts are required.
Camera position for photographing the Royal Palace: On the platform of Mount Phu Si opposite the Royal Palace, you can take photos easily.
🎫Ticket: 30000KIP
🔸Guangxi Waterfall: It is quite far from the city. If you skip the water in Vangrong Blue Hole, you don’t need to go here. It is inconvenient to change clothes on site, so it is recommended to go directly in a swimsuit. There is a restaurant inside with good value for money, and there are also rice field restaurants along the way where you can check in.
🎫Ticket: 20000KIP
🔸Foreigner Street: It is suitable for shopping both during the day and at night, and there are many snacks at the night market.
🔸Phu Si Mountain: You can have a panoramic view of Luang Prabang. It is recommended to arrive 1 hour before sunset.
🎫Ticket: 20000KIP
🔸Almsgiving: An experience not to be missed in Luang Prabang. Although it is very commercialized now, it is still shocking to participate in it live. The location for the almsgiving is from the Xiangtong Temple to the Foreigner Street. There are stalls selling almsgiving supplies, 50,000 yuan a set. After you buy the supplies, you will be given a small stool and a scarf to carry on your chest, and then you can participate in the almsgiving.
🔸Mekong River cruise: There are many types of boats, and the hotel can book them on your behalf. The prices are similar. Choose a boat based on your needs, and someone will pick you up at the appointed time. It is best to choose a boat that takes you to watch the sunset. The boat takes about 2 hours, but if you cannot stay that long, you can ask the boatman to take you back to the dock after watching the sunset.

What you may want to know: Train tickets within Laos, including train tickets back to China, must be purchased on LCR. You need to register with a local Lao mobile phone number. In China, you can use SMS ACTIVE to purchase a Lao virtual number to register an account, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to get tickets during the peak season.
