Riverside nature park for a leisurely walk or cycle
Come and take a walk along the tranquil riverside at Robertson Walk park! The atmosphere is relaxing and there is lots of greenery to enjoy. It is located next to the Singapore river, plus you can stop to take a break at any of the quaint cafes and restaurants.
The paths are also friendly to cyclists so bring your bicycles to take a leisurely ride around the park. You can even head to the bridge in the evening for a photo opportunity because it lights up beautifully!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📞About Phone Cards and Currency Exchange
Before the trip, for convenience, I decided to exchange currency in my home country. But in retrospect, I didn't really need that much cash. In Singapore, you can almost use credit cards, Alipay and other electronic payment methods, and you can enjoy discounts when using Alipay in duty-free shops at the airport. Therefore, I suggest only exchanging a small amount of cash, which can also be done at Changi Airport. At the same time, I also prepared a Visa chip credit card, which is convenient for payment and brushing subways and buses (although there are some fees, it is very convenient).
To meet the needs of short, medium and long-distance travel, I bought Singtel's 5G/4G Singapore SIM card on platforms like TB. These SIM cards offer different choices such as 7 days, 14 days, 28 days, which are very suitable for my travel plan. And, I can pick it up at the UOB window at Changi Airport, Singtel's signal is very good. In addition, these SIM cards also come with a transportation card, which can be used on subways and buses, and it has already been topped up with 3 Singapore dollars.
⛰About Attractions and Routes
My itinerary is as follows: Hotel-Singapore River-Merlion Park-Marina Bay Sands Hotel/Gardens by the Bay-Dinner/Bar. Alipay Gold and above members can apply for a membership card at the 'SANDS LIFESTYLE' counter next to the food court of Marina Bay Sands Mall or Marina Bay Sands Hotel, so that they can get two free tickets to the Sky Garden of Marina Bay Sands, just need to make an appointment in advance. Don't forget to visit the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, Super Tree (two free light shows every night at 19:45 and 20:45) and OCBC Skyway (you can overlook the entire garden and Ice Bay).
Next is Sentosa-Universal Studios-Orchard Road. I remind everyone not to choose to go to Universal Studios on weekends, because Universal Studios in Singapore is very small, most of the projects have single-person channels, so even if you do not buy VIP channel tickets, you basically do not need to queue, very convenient. And, you can reach Palawan Island by walking over a suspension bridge from Palawan Beach, you can go to check in the southernmost point of the Asian continent, but remember to go early, because you can't go up the suspension bridge after five o'clock.
Fook Ning-National Museum/Art Gallery, Old Xi Street Police Station & Central Fire Station-Chinatown. When I was taking pictures in the popular tree hole in Fook Ning, the queue time was very long, so I suggest everyone to arrange time in advance. When we went, the art gallery was free, so remember to make an appointment to buy tickets in advance, the art gallery is very large, it is worth spending a whole day to visit carefully. To be honest, Little India is not highly recommended, I personally feel that Haji Lane is more worth visiting, and the Michelin restaurant is not as delicious as imagined.
Finally, it is New Changi. In fact, Changi Airport itself is a very fun place, I arranged it on the day of the return journey. The most famous is the indoor waterfall (HSBC Rain Vortex), the waterfall can be photographed from the viewing platform on each floor, but only the airport shuttle can be photographed passing in front of the waterfall in the bridge part. Each terminal has many fun and photogenic places, such as the Cactus Garden, Orchid Garden, Sunflower Garden, Dream Garden, etc., and they are connected by a small train, which is very convenient.

Singapore River
#mysgmemories
The Singapore River is one to go place for tourist that wants to experience bump-boat ride.
The river is actually part of the planning area where the river starts from Kim Seng Bridge and eventually flows out to the Marina Bay where the Marina barrage is!
This river plays a significant part of Singapore’s history when our little island used to be a bustling port of call in the past when people used to trade via ships.
The river was very polluted but however after years of major clean up effort. It is now so cleaned. Even animals are coming back.
I took a stroll along the river to admire the nature and tranquility and you should too!

Starlight Stroll: Unveiling SG's Nighttime Charms
As twilight painted the sky, I embarked on a nocturnal exploration of Singapore's bustling city centre. The city, adorned with a tapestry of radiant lights, bloomed like a night flower, offering a sight to behold.
First stop: the iconic Merlion, majestically spouting water against the backdrop of the glimmering skyline, an enduring symbol of Singapore's prosperity. Strolling along Boat Quay, the iridescent reflection of charming colonial buildings on the water's surface enthralled me.
My steps then led me outside CHIJMES, a stunning gothic-style structure, which, under the starlit canopy, felt almost ethereal. The historic complex, with its intricate facades illuminated, narrated a story of architectural grandeur.
Finally, the vibrant, neon-lit strip of Clarke Quay, where the Elgin Bridge was alight with color. The city, now a kaleidoscope of hues, seemed more alive than ever. Truly, the nighttime allure of Singapore is unparalleled.

💌 Sail on the love river
A lovely idea to sail on Singapore Cruise along Singapore River and with the ongoing Frozen musical, it will be awesome to take your date by boat and arrive for the musical. It will be the only stop in Southeast Asia and it is going to be at MBS from 5 February to 19 March 2023. What I will recommend is to have dinner at Clark Quay and then take a boat ride around MBS. This journey will take 40 minutes and pass through many landmarks such as Merlion park, Esplanade and etc. Then you can be in time for 8pm show time.

Beautiful walk along Singapore river
A walk along Singapore river offers many interesting sights and colours.
My recommended route is to start from The Central @ Clarke Quay. Walking towards the Alkaff Bridge (the colourful bridge that has appeared in many movies/dramas). Along the way, you can rest at the F&B outlets along the river. If you are lucky, you may be able to spot the famous otter family in the river.

Walk from Chinatown to Clarke Quay
This walk is very easy to do and you can stroll from Chinatown to Clarke Quay (where Singapore ricer flows through)
Along the walk, you will notice some iconic buildings in Chinatown like People’s Park complex, Hotel 81 at the junction, the Majestic building (former majestic theatre attracted the most glamorous opera stars from China) and Yue Hwa Department Store 裕华国货 (Former Great Southern Hotel 旧南天大酒店)
From here onwards, you will see modern buildings starting to appear in you view. Walking towards Clarke Quay and spend some time enjoy the evening breeze by sitting at the steps at Singapore River or taking a river cruise to explore further.

Singapore River Historical Walk
#localhistory - Singapore's Heritage by the River
Location : Boat Quay sidewalk area along the Singapore River and along Fullerton Hotel.
To get to river sidewalk, simply alight at Clarke Quay or Raffles Place MRT and walk over.
Walk along the Singapore river sidewalk, and marvel at the magnificant architecture while also bask n the sun. You will also come across many local art pieces with great local historical value of how far we have gone from a fishing village to a cosmopolitan garden city.
First off, check out the brilliant artwork entitled "First Generation"
- Located at Fullerton Hotel
- This sculpture depicts scenes of Singapore's earlier days. Basically the Singapore River was the lifeline of Singapore in the earlier years when the first immigrant community settled here. Then, it was a common sight to see kids jumping into the water to take a swim.
Next : "River Merchants"
- Located near Maybank Tower
- This iconic group of sculptures depicts a seated Alexandre Laurie Johnston, a prominent Scottish merchant in the 1800s, negotiating with a Chinese trader, with coolies loading goods onto a bullock cart.
Walk around the Boat Quay and Singapore River sidewalk and you will get to see more impressive bronze sculptures. Also enjoy in the sight of the impressive cross over bridge and spectacular colonial buildings in this historical walk around. Totally worth it !

Singapore river running along the river
At 7:30 a.m., I ran 5 kilometers along the Singapore River.
I passed Clarke Quay, turned back at Raffles place, and circled around the downstairs of the hotel, only 5 kilometers. I feel that Singapore is really too small!
There are many people running in the morning of the 9th week. In this country near the equator, they are sweating profusely, and there are many cyclists.
9 Every time I go to Southeast Asia, I can't run fast. It's too hot, as if I'm exercising in the sauna. It's so uncomfortable. Wearing Lanma's vest, sweat wets his clothes again and again.
I came to Singapore for the first time in 29 and measured this country by running. I think it is still very meaningful.

CapitaSpring, Singapore | Office Building Case Study 07
| Office Building Case Study 07. Floor area: 93,000 m2 Year: 2022
Architect: Bjarke Ingels Group, Carlo Ratti Associati
The project is a 280-meter-high high-rise oasis, continuing the city's pioneering vertical urbanization, with a variety of restaurants, office spaces, Citadines serviced apartments and sky gardens from the ground to the 51st floor
The building is located in the heart of Singapore's financial district, and the former public parking lot and hawker center are formed by orthogonal lines, lush green plants and contrasting texture dynamics
One
On multiple facades, the vertical elements that make up the exterior of the building are pulled apart to glimpse the oasis blooming from the base, core and roof "sky garden". The tower consolidates Singapore's reputation as a garden city, with more than 80,000 plants and a green area of more than 1:1.4, which means that the total landscape area exceeds 8,300 square meters (90,000 square feet), equivalent to 140% of its site area. At the street level, CapitaSpring restores part of the historic Market Street to the public domain through pedestrian-only areas and expanded landscape areas, creating new green breathing spaces for neighboring tenants and passers-by in the high-density CBD
The winding garden path creates a natural entrance to the city hall. The city hall is a spacious open space 18 meters high under the tower, which can block tropical sunlight and showers, welcome tenants to enter the office and residential independent lobby, and shoppers and diners enter the food center in the tower skirt building. The iconic Market Street Hawker Center is rebuilt on the second and third floors of the building, with 56 food stalls, consolidating its position as the core of the city's food experience and the role it plays in maintaining local culture and community
The first eight floors of the tower are dedicated to serviced apartments, including various facilities such as swimming pools, hot tubs, jogging tracks, gyms, social kitchens, guest lounges and barbecues. The top 29 floors offer premium office space with panoramic views of the Singapore River and Marina Bay
,
The architectural core between the office and residential hardscapes is four connected organic softscapes, known as the "Green Oasis", a 35-meter open-air garden for work, leisurely walks, and exercise. The oasis will seamlessly weave nature vertically into the building, meeting local space constraints while providing ample green space for tenants and residents, integrating the elegance and fluidity of modern architecture with the ubiquitous tropical natural environment in the region
The overall vertical softscape of the oasis mimics the plant hierarchy of the tropical rainforest; the growth of the layered leaves of the plant is directly proportional to the light availability in the vegetation layer. Shade-tolerant plants with large leaves that require the least direct light are found on the "rainforest floor". Moving to the canopy layer (the "roof" of the rainforest), the trees are defined by their smaller leaf structure

Start your Singapore journey: A treasure guide to Merlion Park.
1. Introduction to the Park
Merlion Park is located on the banks of the Singapore River and is one of Singapore's iconic attractions. The Merlion statue is 8.6 meters high and is a symbol of Singapore.
2. Preparations
• Clothing
• Singapore's climate is hot and humid, so prepare light, breathable, and sweat-absorbent clothing, such as shorts, short-sleeved T-shirts, and short skirts.
• Bring a light jacket, as the air conditioning in indoor areas and public transportation may be quite cold.
• Shoes
• Comfortable walking shoes are a must, as you may need to walk around the park and surrounding areas.
• You can also prepare a pair of sandals, which are convenient for taking photos by the water or for leisurely strolling.
• Other items
• Bring light rain gear, as there may be showers in Singapore.
• Prepare a light backpack to carry water, a camera, sunscreen, and other items.
3. Transportation
• Subway
• Take the subway to Raffles Place Station. After exiting the station, follow the signs along the way and walk for about 5-10 minutes to reach Merlion Park.
• Bus
• Take the bus to a nearby stop, then walk to the park. You can use Singapore's bus card, which is convenient for swiping when getting on and off the bus.
• Taxi/Ride-hailing
• Tell the driver to go directly to Merlion Park, but there may be congestion during peak traffic hours.
4. Best Time to Visit
• Early morning (6:00-9:00)
• The sunlight is relatively soft at this time, and there are relatively few tourists. You can take photos in front of the Merlion statue, enjoy the tranquil scenery of the Singapore River, and feel the fresh air.
• Evening (17:00-19:00)
• You can watch the beautiful sunset. As the sun sets, the color of the sky changes constantly, providing an excellent background for photos. At the same time, the lights of the surrounding buildings gradually light up, creating a romantic and unique atmosphere.
5. Highlights
• Take a photo with the Merlion statue
• This is one of the main activities of visiting Merlion Park. You can stand at different angles to take photos with the Merlion statue. For example, standing in front of the Merlion, you can take a photo of the entire statue; standing on the side, you can capture the moment when the Merlion spouts water.
• Try some creative photo poses, such as making the action of the Merlion spouting water, or "kissing" the Merlion.
• Enjoy the surrounding scenery
• From Merlion Park, you can enjoy the beauty of Marina Bay, including iconic buildings such as Marina Bay Sands.
• Stroll along the Singapore River, enjoy the modern buildings and lush green plants on both sides of the river, and feel the harmony of Singapore's city and nature.
6. Recommended Food Nearby
• Song Fa Bak Kut Teh (Clarke Quay Store)
• Not far from Merlion Park, Bak Kut Teh is one of Singapore's specialty dishes. Song Fa Bak Kut Teh has a rich soup base, and the medicinal flavor and meaty aroma are perfectly blended. The ribs are stewed until they are tender and flavorful.
• Jumbo Seafood (Riverside Point Store)
• Famous for seafood dishes such as chili crab. The crab meat is fresh and tender, and it is served with a special chili sauce. The taste is rich and memorable.
7. Shopping Recommendations
• Raffles City Shopping Centre
• Located near Raffles Place, it is a large shopping center with many international and local brands, ranging from fashion clothing to household items, from cosmetics to electronic products.
• You can buy some Singaporean souvenirs here, such as Merlion-shaped keychains and refrigerator magnets.

heart of Robertson Quay. TOMA offers a wide selection of breakfast
(open from 7:30am) and brunch menu, but we had the privilege of
sampling their a la carte menu, which is served from 12pm.
We started our meal with a light Kale Waldorf Salad ($26), featuring a mix of sliced apple, seedless grapes, and goat cheese, tossed in a house-made ginger tofu dressing.
Moving on to the mains, one of our favourites was the home-made
Ravioli Porcini ($30). The ravioli, cooked to a perfect al dente
texture, was stuffed with porcini mushrooms and drenched in a velvety, aromatic truffle cream sauce, topped with olive oil caviar and truffle carpaccio.
For pizzas, we were served the Smoked Duck and Peach Pizza
($28). Topped with mozzarella parmigiana and rocket leaves
drizzled with balsamic vinegar, we were initially skeptical about the
pairing of smoked duck and peach. However, we were pleasantly
surprised by the smokiness of the duck and the zesty sweetness of
the peach, which complemented each other well.
For those seeking a non-meat option, the Falafel Burger ($26) is a great choice. This no-frills burger features a falafel patty, lettuce, and roasted capsicum dressing, sandwiched between toasted
brioche buns and served with fries. We recommend eating it while
it's hot, as the patty tends to dry out if left to sit.
Lastly, we ended the night with Toma's Apple Tart ($15), made with
buttery puff pastry and filled with sliced red apples, a hint of
cinnamon, and dusted with powdered sugar.
Look forward to exciting promos throughout the week, such as their
2-hour free-flow boozy weekend brunch and 1-for-1 selected
mocktails/cocktails. Check out their page @toma.bytheriver for
more information.

Singapore River
#travelanywhere
I was near the Singapore river and Fullerton hotel and decided to just chill here awhile as the views is really nice and superb. Amazing especially on a weekday evening as it was very cooling. Lots of central business district office workers over here just chit chatting too as it was just after work hours, enjoying the views and all. It was indeed a beautiful sight. There’s some statues around too where people are seen taking photos and all, especially the tourists. Also the bridge itself is a nice photo spot that is indeed very insta worthy if you get the correct angles. Overall it’s a nice location and nearby it’s just raffles place mrt station and lots of food options down the street too if you’re over here by chance do drop by for awhile to enjoy this magnificent sight.

Singapore River
The area was once a fishing village known as Temasek, until it became a trading port under the British Empire; The history of the Lion City is closely linked to the history of the Singapore River.
It was on the banks of this river that Sir Stamford Raffles—the founder of modern Singapore—first set foot on this island, and it was the place where the prince Sang Nila Utama saw the mystical lion, which eventually became the name of this city.

During the colonial era, the Singapore River was a center of commerce, with longshoremen working along the dusty riverbanks, and small ships docking at its three berths.
Recently, the Singapore River has become increasingly busy with the addition of exciting activities, tour centers, fitness activities and dining locations spread across Robertson Quay, Boat Quay and Clarke Quay.

Fish Travel the World | The New Entertainment Paradise in Singapore City—Clarke Quay
Young people like to go to Singapore's Clarke Quay, which is located on the Singapore River. It is a tourist attraction that combines shopping, dining, and entertainment. It is named after Sir Andrew Clarke, the second governor of Singapore. Its predecessor was a small dock used for unloading goods. After development, it has become the newest entertainment venue in Singapore city, and it is also a favorite check-in point for many tourists. It is also the best place to experience Singapore's nightlife.
During the day, it is suitable for strolling along the quay, feeling the beautiful scenery of Lion City with tourists from all over the world. Because it is not too far from the famous attractions of Marina Bay in Singapore, it is within walking distance. You can see the famous landmark Marina Bay Sands Hotel from the river.
In addition, Boat Quay has at least 35 bars and restaurants (including restaurants opened by our compatriots, so Chinese stomachs don't have to worry). This is the most attractive open-air dining place along the river. It is brightly lit and bustling. In the evening, it is suitable to find a restaurant along the river, enjoy the breeze, watch the night view, enjoy delicious food with friends, have a drink, and enjoy a comfortable night.
When you come here, you will feel that whether it is day or night, it is always in a relaxed and cheerful festive atmosphere. No wonder it is a playground recommended and loved by tourists.
🌟Transportation: Clarke Quay Station on the NE line of the subway, station number NE5, walk along the Singapore River after exiting the station.
