I had long known that although Lishui is only a third-tier city, it is extremely rich in tourism resources. However, it takes at least five and a half hours to get there from Nanjing, requiring at least three days. Having been interested for a long time, I decided to fulfill my wish this May Day. The first day, fearing traffic jams, and the last day for rest, I planned to travel during the three days in between. I booked accommodation ten days in advance, and the prices had already gone up a lot. I made a detailed plan, but it still differed from the actual situation. On the first day: I set off at 6 a.m. and arrived at Heyang Ancient Village after five and a half hours. The guide said that you could enter through a small path next to it, but when I got there, I found that all the paths had temporary ticket checkpoints set up, so I had no choice but to buy a ticket. Then I went to Xiandu, and it was a traffic jam all the way. Fortunately, I had booked accommodation inside the scenic area, parked the car, and spent another 20 yuan on a scenic shuttle fee to play inside. The second day I went to Yunhe Terrace Fields, a 2-hour drive, and arrived at 9 a.m. I thought there would be traffic control during the May Day period, but private cars could still drive in. Because there were so many cars, the scenic shuttle buses were blocked, and I strongly requested traffic control during holidays. Seeing the terrace fields really depends on luck. We arrived at the Nine Curves Cloud Ring at 10 a.m. with fog, and waited for an hour. Luckily, we adjusted our plan in time and went to Kenggen, giving up on Qixing Dun. At 1:30 p.m., we returned to the Nine Curves Cloud Ring and saw the spectacular terrace fields, but after 2 p.m., there was heavy fog again. We waited for another hour, and finally, with no hope, we withdrew. Little did we know that the highway to Lishui was temporarily closed, and we had to take a detour, all because of the holiday. The third day, we only had half a day to visit Songyang Ancient Village. The original plan was to visit the three most famous villages: Songzhuang, Yangjiatang, and Chenjiapu, but halfway through, we learned about the traffic control. For 20 yuan, we transferred to three villages in Sandu Township: Songzhuang, Youtian, and Yangjiatang. This was also quite good, with orderly management and everything linked together, which is praiseworthy. I feel that the ancient villages are not much different from each other, so in the end, we didn't go to Chenjiapu. In conclusion: Lishui's transportation is inconvenient, but the natural scenery is excellent. Holidays are not suitable for going out due to the crowds. Although we saved on highway tolls, the cost of accommodation went up, and everywhere was crowded, leading to queues that made us despair and give up. Because of the crowds, it was impossible to take photos, and everything was messy, making for a poor experience. It's better to stay at home during the holidays. Every landscape can only be truly appreciated by being there in person. When traveling, you need to plan ahead and be ready to adjust your plans at any time when encountering unexpected situations. Even if the road ahead is full of unknowns, and the weather is unpredictable, the joy of traveling far and wide remains.
