It is known as the "mini Amazon forest" and is also the only green water river in Taiwan. The Sicao Green Tunnel is 800 meters long and the entire journey takes about an hour. After queuing up and buying the tickets, you can start this green tunnel adventure! The mangrove reserve has beautiful forests. The tour guide on the boat vividly and in detail explains the daily routines and characteristics of creatures such as fiddler crabs and mudskippers under the mangroves. Since the sun can be hot, I recommend that you bring a wide-brimmed hat that they give you when you board :) The boat ride took about 20 minutes, and it was a great experience to slowly see the Siqiao Green Tunnel, which is called Taiwan's Amazon River!

There is a tour guide on the boat to explain to us about unique mangroves and creatures living around there during the cruise. The boat was passing by mangrove tree branches closely so we had to watch out though it was not so dangerous, rather to say it was thrilling! This place is not really accessible on weekdays, as there is only one bus service that brings you directly to this place, hence hiring a private driver or self drive is recommended to come here. The boat ride along the river among the serene greenery was a treat to the soul, yet it was also informative as the guide dished out interesting facts about the Green Tunnel and the different types of plants and birds.
