There are Mayan relics in Hong Kong
The weather has been nice and not humid recently. It's best to go hiking
From Sai Kung/Sha Tin, take the 299x to Shui Lang Wo. This has a gazebo that looks like the Mayan ruins 👍🏻
After seeing the tree study trail next to the observatory, you can hike and get an introduction to plants😎
If you want to walk further, you can continue to Mui Chung, where you can enjoy the beautiful sky and sea at sunset☺️

Stargazing at Shuilangwo
#Hiking Route Recommendation #Outdoor Good Places #Hong Kong Good Places #Local Tour #Family Good Places
Today I would like to introduce you to a BB-class picnic spot: Water Wave Observation Deck. You can take the bus from Sai Kung or Ma On Shan to Shui Lang Wo stop and get off. After walking for 2 minutes, you will see the big archway of Shui Lang Wo. Across from the West Sand Road barbecue area has a great view and has a place to park. It is simply a first-class barbecue area.
Entering from this location in the waterfront archway, you will be the tree study trail under the Keung Leng. A few steps away will take you to a vast sunny grass barbecue area with peach blossoms carefully planted by the Department of Fisheries, Agriculture and Nature Conservation! 😍 There are some introductions of trees along the way for children to get close to nature.
Today’s focus, though, is the observatory! It turns out that the observatory is modeled after a previous era when there were no clocks. The ancients used the shadow of the sun to observe time. That's how this one station is used! Here you can climb up to the observatory and feel like you’re on top of a tree! The view is sunny!

It was modeled after the ancient observatory in Gaocheng Town, Dengfeng County, Henan Province.

Antique Observatory
#GreenTourism
There is a six-meter-high antique observatory on the Shuilangwo Country Trail. The architecture is very special and resembles the ancient Mayan ruins. Before the epidemic, this place attracted many people to have barbecues nearby, but due to the closure of the barbecue site, few people have visited this observatory, making it look even more desolate and more attractive as a relic.
