Check in to Western Sichuan's scenic spots in 3 days | Enjoy delicious food and beautiful scenery
| Enjoy delicious food and beautiful scenery. Speaking of Western Sichuan, the stunning spots of Mount Siguniang, Yuzixi, and Xinduqiao must not be missed! Today, I'm sharing a delicate 3-day, 2-night small loop route in Western Sichuan, taking you to experience the plateau snow mountains, Tibetan villages, lakes, and meadows, and feel the purest Tibetan customs. There's also a super comprehensive food guide!
🌈Itinerary
Day 1: Chengdu - Honghaizi - Yuzixi / Watch the sunset and afterglow, enjoy the snow-capped mountains and sea of clouds - Xinduqiao
Honghaizi is a hidden gem, with clear lake water reflecting the snow-capped mountains. Yuzixi offers a 360° view of the snow-capped mountains of Gongga, Yala, and Mount Siguniang. At sunset, the golden afterglow shines on the snow-capped mountains, making it breathtakingly beautiful!
🍜Food recommendations: After arriving in Xinduqiao, be sure to try the yak meat hot pot. I recommend "Yak Meat on the Tip of the Tongue". The fresh and tender yak meat is paired with a rich soup base, which is warm and nourishing for the stomach. There's also Tibetan butter tea. Go to "Makye Ame Tibetan Restaurant". It's salty, fragrant, and mellow, instantly dispelling travel fatigue.
Day 2: Xinduqiao - Tagong Grassland - Moshi Park - Mount Yala - Danba
The Muya Golden Pagoda and Mount Yala on the Tagong Grassland are super stunning in the same frame. Moshi Park is like an exotic planet, with a unique landform that guarantees amazing photos.
🥘Food recommendation: Near Tagong Grassland, try the Tibetan roasted whole lamb, with a golden and crispy skin and juicy meat. Have a bowl of zanba with butter tea for an authentic Tibetan flavor!
Day 3: Danba - Mount Siguniang Shuangqiao Valley - Chengdu
Shuangqiao Valley is well-developed, and sightseeing buses go directly to various attractions. The redwood forest, Siguna Lake, and other beautiful scenery are dazzling, as if you have broken into a fairy tale world.
🍛Food check-in: In Siguniangshan Town, order a serving of matsutake stewed chicken, with a rich soup and soft chicken. If you like strong flavors, try the Tibetan pork stir-fried with chili peppers. The meat is firm, fatty but not greasy, and fragrant!
⚠️Travel tips
The temperature on the Western Sichuan Plateau is low, so thick coats, thermal pants, and scarves are essential.
The sun is strong and the ultraviolet rays are high, so be sure to wear hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses for sun protection.
The road conditions in some lesser-known scenic spots are not good, and it is easy to get altitude sickness and fatigue. If you are coming for the first time, it is recommended to join a pure play small group, which is worry-free and comfortable.
