an architectural building that was built as remembrance of the war, in other word the shrine of remembrance is a war memorial in melbourne. We did not have any plan to visit this place but it is on the way to Royal botanical garden Victoria and thus we make a quick stop to look at the building and take a quick break. The only thing I found was the spectacular view of city from the top of the stairs of this building. #celebratewithtrip visited the shrine of remembrance during my time in Melbourne. this is a war memorial and there are so many interesting things to read and look around regarding the past wars. great to learn more about the history of Australia and also understand what happened in the past. highly recommended activity. in there you will also find a small store where they sell different souvenirs and all. there were bears and all which were very cute soft toys and also some books and reflection on the war and all. it seems very interesting and they also sell coffee here by the way if you are in need of a drink.

#celebratewithtrip went to the Melbourne shrine of remembrance during my vacation is Melbourne Australia. it is a war memorial that honors the sacrifice of the Australian soldiers back then during the war periods. the shrine of remembrance is open daily and the opening hours is from 10am to 5pm. it is free to enter, there is no cost incurred to visit. do note that there are also posters around saying that during 11/11 they would pause for a moment to remember the brave soldiers who lost their lives during the war. there are a few exhibitions in the shrine of remembrance for you to educate yourself and explore.

A perfect place to visit in Melbourne city. When you are in Australia, they have a different season compared to the rest of the worth. This is because they are in the Southern Hemisphere so their Autumn is during March to May. At Shrine of Remembrance, they organise Autumn garden tour and you can sign up and pay a small fee for it. Inside of this Shrine, there is a gallery with a huge wall of medals that has at least more than 2000 medals being showcase where each represents a particular victorian who fought during the war. The admission into this Shrine is free and no booking is required for both locals and foreigners, for parking, you can park around the Shrine which is a short 3-5mins walking distance to the Shrine. Also, do remember when entering the Shrine, walk up the long flight of stairs to the top of the Shrine to have a view of unblock scenery of Melbourne city. You can visit botanical garden which is a great place to be. You have ample of parking outside but please note it is paid till 6:30pm. However if you want to go inside you have to be there before 5pm and buy your tickets.

#celebratewithtrip went to the shrine of remembrance during one of the days I spent in Melbourne and it was nice to learn so much about the Australian history as well as the wars. it was indeed very educational and rewarding in terms of knowledge gained. so this is actually free of charge for entry and if you enter the shrine of remembrance and go all the way up to the top floor you cna actually get a nice Birds Eye view of the buildings around . it is actually a perfect spot for some photo taking and also a bit of people watching. would recommend coming. it might also be crowded during weekdays as I noticed school kids here for excursion.
