Xinzheng Shizu Mountain
Xinzheng Shizu Mountain, formerly known as Juci Mountain, is located in Xindian Town, Xinzheng City, Zhengzhou, Henan Province. It is the birthplace and activity area of the ancestor of Chinese civilization, Emperor Xuanyuan. Shizu Mountain Scenic Area is known for its beautiful mountains and rivers and picturesque scenery, with rich cultural relics of the Yellow Emperor. The main peak, Fenghou Ridge, looks like a statue of Emperor Xuanyuan from afar, which is awe-inspiring. Shizu Mountain is not only beautiful in natural scenery, but also has profound historical and cultural value. The mountain is covered with dense forests and fragrant orchards, and the water of Qinggang Temple Reservoir is as smooth as a mirror and crystal clear. The Black Dragon Pool and Jade Girl Pool on the west slope are full of gurgling streams and sparkling waves, forming a beautiful scenery of mountains, water, springs, and forests. Shizu Mountain is not only a tourist destination with rich natural landscapes, but also an important place to learn about the culture of the ancestor of Chinese civilization, Emperor Xuanyuan. Visitors can feel the harmonious unity of the strong historical atmosphere and natural beauty here.

Zhengzhou's 100 Free Treasure Spots to Visit—Shizu Mountain
Zhengzhou's 100 Free Treasure Spots to Visit—Shizu Mountain. A niche destination, perfect for a self-drive tour near Zhengzhou!
Shizu Mountain, also known as Jucizhan, is about a two-hour drive from Zhengzhou, and you can make the round trip in one day.
Currently, admission is free, and it costs 10 yuan to park your car if you drive up the mountain. It is recommended to navigate to 'Tianzhongmen Parking Lot' which allows you to drive directly to the top of the mountain, saving time and effort.
Choose a day with gentle breezes and beautiful sunshine to go with family and friends. It's not as noisy as many scenic spots, nor does it have too many man-made attractions—it's like a mountain in your hometown, perfect for clearing your mind. You can take a small path and reach the top in about two hours with occasional stops. I really enjoy climbing such mountains and recommend everyone to try it out over the weekend!
