Tokyo | A Yakiniku Restaurant So Good It'll Make You Roll Your Eyes
The highly private yakiniku restaurant with a Google rating of 4.5 stars—Gyuin is definitely a must-eat spot when in Tokyo.
If there's one must-try item, it has to be the beef sandwich featured on the cover. The melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu is just indescribable 😭 A single serving costs ¥6000 (HKD300), but it's included in the set meal. Plus, the set meal comes with 12 different dishes, so I recommend ordering the set. When you order the set, you also get the added bonus of a handsome guy grilling the meat for you, so you don't have to worry about overcooking and wasting the beef.
This place gets five stars for price, ambiance, service, and taste. If I come back to Tokyo, I'll definitely eat here again!

Shinjuku at night 🇯🇵
When it comes to Tokyo nightlife, the first thing comes to my mind is Shinjuku. The busy streets do not seem to sleep, people flock there regardless of day and night, and when the lights are on, they transformed the place into somthing so splendid.
And if you want to soak up the nightlife in Tokyo, go to Shinjuku, walk around Shinjuku station and shop, there are many shops for tourists that you won't want to miss.
Or drink sake at Omoide yokocho(思い出横丁), narrow seasonally decorated Japanese-style alleys that are favorite places for photographer to catch beautiful moments.
Or watch the neon lights in Kabukicho, there are many shops here with bright neon signs creating a beautiful scene at night.
Save this post for your trip to Shinjuku ✨

Shinjuku comes alive at night
There’s so much to do and see and eat (!) at Shinjuku. Must visit the alley with charcoal skewers (note to self: wear washable clothes), 3D advertising signage. Lovely desserts from the basement level of any department stores. Yakiniku with authentic wagyu. Never tired of visiting Shinjuku, without even needing to venture to the kabuchiko side.#tokyo #shinjuku #yakiniku #yakitori

A City of Stunning Beauty
#CelebrateWithTrip
Tokyo is one of my favourite cities to visit. It has so many places where you can go and enjoy your time while you’re there. The food is amazing, the place is clean, the public transportations are one of a kind (never late!) Many beautiful places to go to!
I went to all the places around Tokyo either on foot or by trains. Very accessible and totally organized! The pictures were taken from Odaiba, Asakusa shrine, Tokyo zoo, Akihabara, Shibuya and Shinjuku.

I love Japan! I love Tokyo! I love Shinjuku!
Shinjuku train station is very busy but I didn‘t mind since the place is realy beautiful.
I am a person who really like singing and the karaoke bar we went to was just awesome! I sang my lungs out until I lost my voice the next day 😅
Shinjuku is the place to go if you enjoy nightlife and karaoke! The skyscrapers that towers the streets are gigantic and massive!
Good food can also be found in Shinjuku (I am sure all over Japan offer good food 🥰)

A lively and buzzing area in Tokyo
#bucketlistreboot
I always love this area of Tokyo whenever I visit here. The area is full of life and activities during any part of the day. Staying here as a base for Tokyo is an excellent choice as you can get anywhere from Shinjuku Station.
Shinjuku Station is the world's busiest railway station, handling more than two million passengers every day. It is served by about a dozen railway and subway lines, including the JR Yamanote Line. Shinjuku is also one of Tokyo's major stops for long-distance highway buses. A large bus terminal, named Busta Shinjuku, is conveniently located on top of the railway station.

Lost in Tokyo | One of the top ten night scenes in life
Tokyo night scene is called one of the top ten night scenes of life. Every sunset, the whole city is immersed in orange-red Yunxiali, and the beginning of the Hua Deng, symbolizes that Tokyo's Tokyo Tower is instantly illuminated by neon, attracting the attention of countless travelers.
Night scene shooting location:
1Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower is a symbol of eternal life in Tokyo. It frequently appears in books and videos. Many tourists are obsessed with Tokyo and indulge in this. In the urban atmosphere and romantic atmosphere at night.
2Shinjuku Commercial Street
The area centered around Shinjuku Station is one of the most famous and prosperous business districts in Tokyo, bringing together countless shops and a number of integrated shopping centers. Shinjuku at night is the most lively.

If you still think that Kabukicho is just a place where you can get a good night, you can be wrong. In fact, there is a unique culture of Japan, and it is a good place to experience the nightlife of Japan. As one of the entertainment centers in Tokyo, it is a place to be.

Magic Kingdom Alice: Take you into the fairy tale world
Alice series There are 5 restaurants in Japan, all want to go, finally rounded the nightmare
Shinjuku this magic kingdom Alice Combine the psychedelic scenes and various interesting props in the story to restore the scenes in the fairy tale to the restaurant. For example, when I entered the door, I saw Alices blue and white dress. The little animals that Alice touched all the way, the hedgehogs and the squirrels all appeared in the display, and the playing cards of the Wizard of Oz, its super cute, just look at the display. The entrance is even more confusing.
Because we only have two people, we didnt go into a separate box. The separate box was arranged into a luxurious poker table, which is very fairytale (Figure 8)
/hh The most eye-catching thing is that the heart of the restaurant is very big and lovely. The whole store is mainly composed of pink, which is very suitable for dating couples.
When the clerk comes up, the clerk will give you a cup of blue aperitif. If you drink it, you may be able to shrink it~
Their home is not bad, the price is slightly more expensive, but this The decoration style can only be experienced in Japan, don't miss it!

Tokyo + Izu (Tokyo's surrounding coast) 6 days and 5 nights
🕐️DAY 1: Arrive in Tokyo at night, stay in Shinjuku shopping district
Evening: Eat yakitori in Ueno, Tokyo. 【Torikizoku】 restaurant recommended, cheap and delicious, average cost 80+ to eat to your heart's content
🕐️DAY 2: Take a stroll around Shinjuku shopping district
Shinjuku is really great for shopping, spent the whole day here, you can find everything from anime IPs, trendy stores, budget malls, to luxury malls all in one place
【Must-buy glasses】Jins glasses for less than 400 yuan (remember to get a coupon from Ctrip Global Shopping, it can be a bit cheaper)
【Drugstore】Lion's acne cream, Silkpeptide yeast, DHC lip balm are much cheaper than on 🍑bao. However, you need to do your research before going, otherwise, you won't know what to buy, there's too much variety.
🕐️DAY 3: Tokyo ➡️ Izu
Journey: Take a chartered car to Izu, about a 3-hour drive
Attractions: Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace - Shuzenji Note: Japan's attractions are quite small, definitely no need to reserve several hours. There are some art shops near Shuzenji, worth a quick visit
Meal: Eel rice
Hotel: Stay at 【Akazawa Onsen Hotel】 for 2 nights in Izu, delicious breakfast, can enjoy hot springs, great environment, recommended. Note: When booking the hotel, be sure to choose the option that includes breakfast and dinner, as there are no other restaurants nearby, and it would be inconvenient to go to the hot springs area to eat at a restaurant that accepts walk-in customers if dinner is not included.
🕐️DAY 4: South Izu
Attractions: Shirahama Shrine, Sea Torii, Shirahama Beach These attractions are not recommended, you can avoid them, they are all very small, not much to see, and the seaside is very windy and messy, not good for photos
🕐️DAY 5: East Izu
Attractions: Omuro Mountain, Cactus Park, these two attractions are very close and suitable to visit together. Omuro Mountain is photogenic, good for taking pictures. When buying tickets for the Cactus Park, show your Omuro Mountain cable car ticket for a discount
Journey: Izu ➡️ Tokyo, a 4.5-hour journey, not to be underestimated
Hotel: Stay at a hotel near Sensoji Temple
🕐️DAY 6: Tokyo ➡️ Shanghai
Morning: Take a walk around Sensoji Temple
Noon: Depart for the airport at 11 am, the plane is at 15.55 in the afternoon, head out early to wander around the airport.
Afternoon: Fly back to Shanghai, returning to the embrace of the motherland

In the MIDDLE cafe
A wonderful shop that just opened this fall🤎
The sweets and the atmosphere inside the store are wonderful.
Perhaps the “right middle” for me is
In this warm place different from home, you can forget all your daily worries and fatigue.
I thought it would be a great way to spend a comfortable time while enjoying delicious sweets and coffee.
Hotdog in a bucket of coleslaw
Sausage , carrots and sauerkraut ,
Cucumbers, fried onions and more.
I would eat myself with ketchup and mustard.
The sausages were good enough to eat.
4 tables and 3 counters chairs inside the store
Two terraces, they are busy.
To an acquaintance I ran into
Got a full back porch seat in the store, but
Finally the shop is open and I ran into Mr. Sinonse
Got my seats together.
The day I met a lot of people I know.
Baked dumplings like carrot cake
Apparently, coffee jelly is limited in-store everyday.
Because I was curious about other baked goods
I want to go again.

Best central location, should have stayed here more nights
I stayed 6 nights in Tokyo, only stayed 1 night here as I couldn't get a room for the last night in my other hostel. I really should have stayed here for the whole duration!
This hostel has everything you need: towels, soap, toothpaste, floss, hair gel, earbuds, massage chairs, books, pyjamas and provides free food, unlimited drinks, keeping your expenses lower. My worry on the capsules being possibly claustrophobic was unfounded, as there's sufficient space, and I could actually sleep better there due to less noise disturbance, no packing or chatting in the rooms.
Finally, the location is as central as it gets, you will save on transport costs as you are 2 min walk away from the subway and bus terminals, you have hundreds of restaurants nearby.
Do note your luggage has to be stored at level 1, away from the capsules, I think this will make you shop less, and also force you to rest more once you are at the capsules, as you cannot pack as much. Also, they use open showers like an onsen, if you are shy just cover yourself with the towel, everyone's naked so there's no need to worry. Please don't be like two tourists I saw who bathed in their boxers, they stood out alot more.
Overall would highly recommend this place to budget travellers looking for a good deal in central Tokyo!

Exploring Shinjuku with my family was a vibrant adventure filled with sensory delights. As we stepped out of the bustling train station, the neon lights and bustling crowds immediately immersed us in the energetic atmosphere of this iconic Tokyo district. We wandered through the vibrant streets, passing by towering skyscrapers, traditional izakayas, and quirky shops. From indulging in delicious street food to marveling at the serene beauty of Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, every moment was filled with excitement and discovery. It was a day of laughter, exploration, and bonding that left us with cherished memories of our time in Tokyo.
Looking ahead to our next dream destination, we're drawn to the stunning landscapes and cultural richness of Peru. Imagining our family trekking through the majestic Andes Mountains, exploring the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, and immersing ourselves in the vibrant markets of Cusco fills us with excitement. Peru offers a perfect blend of adventure, history, and natural beauty, promising an unforgettable journey for our family. From savoring traditional Peruvian cuisine to connecting with the local communities, it's a destination that holds the promise of enriching experiences and lasting memories for us to cherish together.

Shinjuku - Tokyo's Island of Trabquility
#cherryblossom2024
In April, Tokyo is enveloped in a cloud of delicate pink sakura petals, and places where you can admire flowers are scattered throughout the city. In the Shinjuku area, it is best to go to Shinjuku Geen Park, which is literally drowned in the foam of petals.
Shinjuku Gyoen can be easily reached on foot from Shinjuku, Sendagaya or Shinjuku Gyoen Mae Stations.
The closest exit from Shinjuku Station to the park is south-east. From there, you will have to walk no more than ten minutes.
The hanami season is usually short and difficult to predict—but not in Shinjuku Gyoen. There are more than 65 species of sakura growing here, so the flowering period seems endless.
The first sakura "kanzakura" (winter cherry) begins to bloom — in February. Then, in early April, "somei yoshino" blooms, followed by "baigo—ji juzukakezakura" (cherry from the Baigo-ji temple), and then, at the end of April— sakura "kanzan".
There is no such fuss and pandemonium in Shinjuku Gyoen as in other parks. Smoking and alcohol are prohibited, and a small fee is charged for admission, so there is a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere here.
The park is good throughout the flowering season, but if possible, it is better to choose the middle of April. Then you can see how sakura "somei yoshino" is already starting to release young green leaves, while everything around is covered with a solid carpet of pink petals.

Tokyo | The dazzling Tokyo nightscape and the festive atmosphere hidden in the alleys
After nightfall, Tokyo exudes a charm even more captivating than during the day. Neon signs flicker and leap among the skyscrapers, injecting new vitality into the night.
Sensoji Temple
Most visitors to Tokyo choose to go to Shibuya or Roppongi to experience the rich and colorful nightlife, but for decades, even centuries, Asakusa has been the place where locals go to relax after sunset.
Sensoji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, welcomes the last group of visitors praying for blessings at night. After sunset, Sensoji Temple usually lights up until 11 pm. The cherry tree in the temple is just in full bloom. Before going out for a night meal, you can enjoy the unique charm of Sensoji Temple at night.
Transportation: Take the Ginza Line, Asakusa Line, or Tobu Railway to get to Asakusa Station. It's a 5-minute walk from the station to Sensoji Temple.
Kabukicho Ichibangai
Shinjuku's Kabukicho is dazzling with neon lights and bustling with people, one of the most densely populated areas in Tokyo. It is said to be the busiest and most densely populated downtown area in Asia, and possibly the world.
When you come to Yasukuni Street, you will see the huge Don Quijote store, which is a landmark of Kabukicho Street. Booking a hotel nearby without knowing the world, you will see a different Japan, not so clean, not so tidy, not so orderly, and even blonde guys coming up to chat. It is not recommended for girls to stay here. However, dining and shopping are still OK, with various restaurants and bars gathered here, the neon-lit nightlife is extraordinarily lively.
Transportation: Kabukicho is a 5-minute walk from the JR Shinjuku Station East Exit, and also close to the Fukutoshin Line, Marunouchi Line, and Seibu Shinjuku Line stations.
Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho
If you want to avoid the crowds for dining, you can turn into the small alleys to find food. Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho are not officially part of Kabukicho, but they are very close by, with many atmospheric small bars and barbecue stalls.
Both streets have crisscrossing alleys with a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere, just like the mood in Japanese dramas. The festive atmosphere, which is a stark contrast to the metropolis, is like a late-night diner, where each diner has their own story.

Tokyo Twilight 🍣
Tokyo, a city that never truly sleeps, offers an exhilarating blend of ultramodern and traditional, especially evident in its eclectic dining scene. My exploration took me from the neon-lit streets of Shibuya to the quieter, lantern-lit alleys of Shinjuku, where every corner offers a new taste sensation.
The pinnacle of this culinary adventure was a late-night visit to a sushi bar in Tsukiji, where the fish tasted as though it had jumped straight from the ocean onto the rice. The sushi master, with decades of experience, crafted each piece with a precision that was almost surgical, enhancing the natural flavors of the tuna and salmon with just a hint of wasabi and soy sauce.
Equally impressive was the ramen from a tiny, nondescript shop tucked away under the train tracks in Akihabara. The rich, flavorful broth, combined with perfectly cooked noodles and tender pork belly, provided warmth and comfort after a day of wandering through the bustling electronic district.
Tokyo's food scene is a vibrant tapestry that reflects its history and its global influences. From street food stalls serving yakitori and takoyaki to upscale restaurants that reinterpret international cuisines, the city is a paradise for food lovers, offering an endless array of dishes to discover. Tokyo, Japan | A city where classical and modern blend perfectly
🗺️Three-day Tokyo itinerary:
Day1 Arrive in Tokyo - Ginza - Shinjuku - Shibuya
Day2 Senso-ji Temple - Akihabara - Ebisu - Ebisu Garden Place Viewing Platform
Day3 Meiji Shrine - Harajuku - Shopping in Shibuya - Return trip
1️⃣ Ginza
A well-known shopping district in Tokyo, filled with luxury brands and select shops. The multi-story Uniqlo and GU are great for shopping – you can find clothes and bags at various price points. Tried a dipping noodle shop nearby, and it was really delicious!
2️⃣ Shinjuku
You can get off at Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station. It's also a shopping district, but the nightlife here is richer with many bars and restaurants that stay open late. The famous Shinjuku Ni-chome is worth a visit.
3️⃣ Shibuya
The must-visit Shibuya Crossing is the busiest intersection. It wasn't as shocking as I imagined, but still very bustling. The nearby Shibuya Sky is a great spot for views, but check the weather beforehand as the escalators and outdoor sections may be closed due to weather conditions.
4️⃣ Senso-ji Temple
There are many foreign tourists, and it feels very commercialized. The Kaminarimon gate at the entrance is a must-visit. Inside, you can draw fortune sticks – remember to tie the bad fortunes to the railings and not take them with you. It's interesting, and many say Senso-ji Temple is very spiritual.
5️⃣ Akihabara
A must-visit for fans of anime! There are super many shops selling anime figures and merchandise, and you'll see many cute cosplayers on the streets. If you're not into anime, it might not impress you as much.
6️⃣ Ebisu Garden
If I were to recommend a place in Tokyo for free high-rise sightseeing, I would definitely suggest the 36th floor of the Ebisu Garden Place Tower. First, it's tourist-friendly and open to everyone. Second, there's no admission fee. There are also a few scenic restaurants up there, which feel very atmospheric and are not too expensive.
7️⃣ Meiji Shrine
A shrine with a great atmosphere, lots of greenery, large lawns, and trees. There's a large torii gate inside, and you can also draw fortunes and amulets. The best part is that the fortunes here are not as clearly good or bad as those at Senso-ji Temple. Instead, they give you a phrase to ponder, which is quite friendly – you can make a wish and pray for blessings here.
8️⃣ Harajuku
Adjacent to Omotesando, street culture is prevalent. There are many trendy shops and boutiques nearby. Compared to the crowded Shibuya, it feels more relaxed and peaceful here.
9️⃣ Tokyo Tower & Skytree
Here are two recommended photo spots: for Tokyo Tower, choose the intersection near Tamachi Station; for Skytree, the entrance of Asakusa Station subway is a great spot.

Preface:
Shinjuku → Asakusa Temple → Akihabara → Ginza
1 Shinjuku
After getting off the bus, go to the waiting room of the high-speed bus on the fourth floor, where there is a self-service ticket machine.
We are planning to go to Mount Fuji in two days, so we need to buy tickets in advance.
The self-service ticket machine can only use cash or credit cards, not ×c cards.
You need to prepare cash in advance. A single trip is 2200 yen.
The day we arrived happened to be the first day of the public beta of Love and Deep Space, and there was a big screen in Tokyo to check in by the way!
Really very lucky.
2 Asakusa Temple
We first went to the hotel to store our luggage, because we could only check in at three o'clock in the afternoon, so we went out again.
(The subway in Tokyo during the morning rush hour is really particularly crowded, you must have the determination to be as steady as a clock).
There are many people at the entrance of Asakusa Temple, and it is almost impossible to take a picture without people.
Going in is a very short commercial snack street!
The local specialty shops on the roadside may have chikawa!!
There are many places to draw lots in front of the temple, 100 yen each time.
Behind Asakusa Temple is the cute Sanrio shop!
Although the door is cute, it doesn't look so good without the filter.
3 Akihabara
Akihabara is mostly male-oriented, and there is not much attraction for us.
Lanimate doesn't have many things, but you can go and see if there are any new ones.
→Compass chiikawa is a good price, but no rabbit.
Only male-oriented books.
→mandarake has many doujinshi
4 Ginza
It's a huge business district, but it's not suitable for us to stroll around.
Luxury stores gather, and people from all countries gather.
The price is indeed cheaper compared to domestic.
If you have the ability and need, you can spend a day shopping.
The restaurants and dessert shops on the street look super delicious, although the price may be high, but the taste is really good, you can try.
Generally, you won't step on thunder.
We are going to go shopping in Ikebukuro the next day. In order to save energy, we went back to the hotel to rest early. See you in the next episode of Ikebukuro!
