When visiting Hokkaido, be sure to check out these observation decks. Shinei Hill Observatory Park is located between Biei Station and Takushinkan. It is another scenic hill park in the Biei area. It is easily accessible by car. Public facilities are well-equipped. There is a free parking lot and restrooms. From here, you can overlook the vast Biei plains. The view is truly beautiful on a clear day. A large expanse of green grass and trees stretches to the distant horizon, making you reluctant to leave. #springwander It is one of the best scenic spots in Biei, where many hills are connected like waves and the magnificent scenery spreads out. It is a park marked by dolls stacked with grass rolls, and you can see the rich natural scenery of Biei from the hills in a 360-degree panorama. From the east side, you can enjoy the Hokkaido-like scenery woven with the Tokachidake mountain range, whose main peak is Mt. Tokachi at an altitude of 2,077 m, the mountains of the Daisetsuzan mountain range, the mosaic-like farmland, and the houses with photogenic red roof. The west side is popular as an evening view spot where the orange sunset shines brightly.

#VisitHokkaido Shin-ei-no-Oka Observatory Park is one of the sightseeing spots along the Panorama Road in Biei. The view from here is vast and expansive. We went during the summer and saw colorful rice fields on high and low hills with the Tokachi Mountains in the distance as a backdrop. On the observation deck, there were dolls made from barley rolls set up as decorations, which were very cute. There were also flowers planted to make it look refreshing. I heard that this is one of the most beautiful sunset spots in Japan, but we went in the morning and it was already beautiful. We enjoyed taking pictures. No matter where we pointed our camera, we were bound to get a picture. 🚗 How to get there The location of this place is between Biei and Bibaushi train stations, about 3-4 kilometers from the stations. If you want to walk, it is quite far. Therefore, cars or bicycles are the best options. There is a convenient parking lot on the side of the road. From the parking lot, there is a walkway to a small souvenir shop and food/drinks. After enjoying the view, you can use the service.

The parking lot is also spacious, making it easy to stop by. It seems that it is not included in foreign tours, so it was mostly Japanese people.
