King Crap Buffet - GINZA HAPPO
I had previously introduced a restaurant to a close business partner, and we decided to go there, so we finally visited Ginza Hachiyo, a seafood buffet restaurant.
I had been interested in this high-end seafood buffet since it first opened, as it had been introduced quite often.
However, the reviews were quite polarized, so I went without high expectations.
When I made a reservation at 6 p.m. and arrived, the restaurant was already pretty full.
There were many foreigners, but about half were Japanese.
I was seated and went straight to the buffet area, where the king crab and snow crab caught my eye first, and on closer inspection, I saw that there were a good number of small spiny lobsters, sweet shrimp, red shrimp, and sashimi.
There was Chinese food, fried foods, cold hors d'oeuvres, sushi, seafood for BBQ, and even grilled wagyu beef, so perhaps because the turnover was fast? There was quite a lot of fresh food on display, and I had a hard time deciding what to take.
While we were drinking beer and taking out the crab meat, mainly red king crab and snow crab, the staff kindly dissected the crabs for us. Lucky!
After that, the staff was very kind to our table, telling us how delicious this crab was and how to eat this meat, and we ended up eating more crab than we expected.
We grilled shellfish, and the oysters were plump and big, and there were some good cuts of meat, and we mainly ate the mizuji.
We ate too much crab and couldn't eat much else, but the business partner I brought along seemed very satisfied.
I'm not sure if it's worth it, but I thought it would be nice to bring people here for this price after eating so much seafood and other things.
Some reviews said that the crabs were frozen, but almost all of them were frozen wherever you eat them, and the meat was good, so I was personally very satisfied.
However, when you grill shellfish, the seawater will splash, so I think it's better to wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
