Amazing value for money! An in-depth experience at the Sheraton Xiamen Hotel I recently discovered that the Sheraton Hotel in Huli District, Xiamen, had a significant price drop after the holidays. The value for money was incredible, so I decided to try it out. It was such a pleasant surprise! 💰️ Cost per person The price of this hotel is truly amazing! The Grand Deluxe Room starts at around CNY 650, including breakfast. That works out to just over CNY 300 per person. Compared to hotels that cost CNY 2,000 or 3,000 a night, the value for money here is unbeatable. 🏘️️️ Room Type/Layout The hotel has quite a few suites, and I was lucky enough to be assigned one each time I stayed. The room layout is well-designed, and the space is spacious and comfortable. The overall style is full of a sense of the times and American retro charm. After renovations at the end of 2023, the brand-new carpets, wallpaper, upholstery, air conditioning controls, and sofas make the whole room feel even more warm and comfortable. It's incredibly relaxing to stay here. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities The quality of the renovated facilities is excellent. The furniture and appliances in the room are all new and work perfectly. The hotel has a full range of facilities to meet the needs of both leisure and business travelers. The public areas are also meticulously decorated, highlighting the hotel's quality and style. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness The soundproofing is excellent. You can't hear any noise from the outside world in the room, allowing for a peaceful rest. The cleanliness is impeccable. The room was spotless, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and there were no unpleasant odors in the bathroom. I felt completely at ease during my stay. 💗 Other tips The hotel is located at No. 386-1, Jiahe Road, Huli District, Xiamen. It's in a prime location, about a 15-minute drive from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and Xiamen Railway Station, and about a 20-minute drive from the ferry terminal, making it very convenient for visiting Gulangyu Island and other attractions. SM City Xiamen is a 900-meter walk away, offering one-stop shopping and dining. It's also within a 20-minute taxi ride to Huandao Road Beach and Xiamen University, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The check-in service was incredibly attentive. The staff helped me with my luggage, accompanied me through the check-in process, and escorted me to my room. The hotel breakfast is also rich and varied, with all kinds of delicious food. You must try it and experience the charm of a high-end hotel breakfast.

There is an entrance hall, and the room on the right is spacious and suitable for sleeping on the floor (jokingly referred to as the "floor sleeping room"). This room type should be a deluxe executive king room, similar to an open suite, but not separately classified. On the left is a cloakroom with a dressing table and wardrobe, and further inside is the bathroom. The bathtub in a standard room is an old-fashioned built-in type, different from the independent bathtub in a suite. The water pressure on the top floor is low, which is a common problem in old buildings, but the water pressure on other floors is normal. The overall layout has its characteristics, but there are also some problems caused by the old building. 🛌Supplies/facilities: The hotel has been renovated since the end of 2023, with new carpets, wallpaper, air conditioning controls, and sofas, but the overall appearance is still old. Executive and suite rooms are not equipped with coffee machines, and the new sofas and lounge chairs do not blend well with the overall room atmosphere and are hard to sit on. The gym is well-maintained, with some rust and aging, but little wear and tear and complete equipment. However, the swimming pool is not recommended. 💰Per capita consumption: About 200 per person, very cost-effective 💗Other tips: - Breakfast experience: The hotel breakfast is average, with average quality, not enough to make people want to get up early to eat. The variety and taste of the dishes need to be improved. - Lounge situation: The lounge is small, similar in size to a newly opened Courtyard, and crowded during meals. The taste and quantity of the dishes are average, with greasy hot dishes and only decent fruit salad. The staff is busy and under a lot of pressure. - Location: The hotel is located at the junction of Siming and Huli, near SM City Plaza. It is a good location on the island but not the first choice. It is a certain distance from the subway station and BRT, so the convenience of travel is average. However, since the area of Xiamen Island is small, it is not far to go anywhere. - Service quality: The service is good, from check-in to check-out, the doorman is enthusiastic and helpful, but the welcome fruit is not rich enough. As one of the older Marriott hotels in Xiamen, Sheraton Xiamen Hotel has been partially renovated by the owner, but there are still some common problems in old hotels, and there is room for improvement in room types, facilities, and dining. However, its service attitude is commendable. For guests who pursue cost-effectiveness and newer facilities, it may need to be carefully selected, but for guests who value the brand and location and do not have high hardware requirements, it is still a good accommodation choice. Executive King|||The three best hotels in Xiamen: Sheraton, Le Méridien, and Westin. All of them offer a great experience. I thought the Sheraton would be old, but it was actually quite nice. Much better than the Sheraton Lido Chengdu!

It is a bit old As mentioned earlier, the decoration style is indeed from the 1990s. I heard it was the first five-star hotel in Xiamen, so it must have been very popular when Xiamen's customs business was booming. 2. The breakfast is average There are not many varieties to eat, the only decent one is a noodle stall. The main dish is satay noodles, but I don't like sweet flavors, so I prefer meat sauce noodles.
