Marriott's Room Brushing Holy Land - Xi'an Chanba Sheraton Hotel
This hotel is indeed quite remote and the surrounding area is rather desolate, but it is indeed a good choice for room brushing. The regular price is less than 400 yuan, with an executive lounge, large suites, strong fitness facilities, and a seamless switch to the nearby Fairfield by Marriott. The dining is also quite good, what else can you be dissatisfied with?
Because it's cheap, it has been quite popular recently. Under the gathering of high-tier members, there were no suites available on the day of check-in. However, I went to check in late, and the front desk lady checked and said that there was a room that had just been checked out and not yet cleaned, asking if I wanted to wait? Of course, I decided to wait and went to the lounge to use the Happy Hour, which was quite good. After all, there is a big difference between a suite and a non-suite. The lady at the front desk escorted me to the lounge, and about half an hour later, she brought the room card. The service was very good, thank you.
During this stay, I was in a 95 square meter executive suite. I found that the hotels in Chanba area all like to round off the corners. Whether it's the Hualuxe or the Sheraton Fairfield, the windows are all curved. From the floor plan, you can see that the building section is a rounded triangle, with two executive suites per floor. The other suite probably has a better view.
Entering the door, there is the living room in front, the guest bathroom and wardrobe on the left, and the bedroom, master bathroom, and cloakroom on the right. The guest bathroom has a PG vertical washbasin, a spacious vanity, and a regular toilet.
The living room is very large, with a spectacular curved floor-to-ceiling window. However, the view is not good due to the building obstruction, but it's fine as long as there is a suite available. The sofa set in the reception area is very beautiful, and the welcome fruit plate is also nice, but this hotel does not have small toys.
Further inside is the mini-bar, a four-person dining table that also serves as a desk. This table can also be raised and lowered, but the quality is much better than the Sheraton in the high-tech zone, at least it doesn't wobble. However, this setup is not very suitable for sitting for a long time.
The mini-bar has a capsule coffee machine with 4 capsules, free water from Zhongnan Mountain, tea bags from Dilmah, and a small fridge that is quite full but charges a fee.
The cloakroom has only one luggage rack, but there is plenty of space. The bedroom has a bench at the end of the bed and a sofa by the window. The spliced orange tone is quite homely and warm. There is a sliding door between it and the master bathroom, which feels more transparent when opened. Overall, it is also a Sheraton with a refreshed style. However, the quality of the decoration feels much stronger than the one in the high-tech zone, at least there is no problem with sound insulation.
The master bathroom has only a single basin, an embedded bathtub with a shelf, bath salts, and a headrest. Except for the guest bathroom vanity, everything else used is from Messwen, which is of average quality. Especially pay attention to the shower head in the shower room, it looks like a Dyson, and when turned on, it blows water with a very strong force that can scare people. The body feel is not good, the top spray is okay, but Sheraton's new amenities, especially the shampoo, are really bad for the hair and too difficult to use.
It's a pity that this hotel did not install a smart toilet. Overall, the bathroom facilities are of a lower grade, but aside from these, it is still satisfying.
