Internet-famous lighthouse | ⭐
Recently, the internet-famous lighthouse has caused a stir, overshadowing the original beauty of this place. Although there may be inadequate management here, I still recommend taking a stroll.
Navigation address - "Shenzhou Peninsula Tourist Area - Lighthouse" 📌
After arrival, you can choose to take a sightseeing car for 20/person/one way, but I strongly recommend walking along the greenway and the seaside, taking a leisurely stroll to the lighthouse, which takes about 15 minutes.
Here are the azure sea 🌊 and lonely lighthouse, perfect for photography and aerial photography. On the coast of the Shenzhou Peninsula, you can also gaze at the lighthouse from afar.
It is recommended to go in the early morning or evening when there are fewer people. When the weather is good, you can also see the sunset 🌇.

The movie "The Vanished" made this lighthouse famous, and now people come here to take photos all the time. I recommend driving a car so you can cool off a bit. Firstly, Wanning's basic infrastructure and urban commercialization are not as developed as Sanya's, making it more budget-friendly, smaller, and with fewer attractions, which is more suitable for a slow-paced, laid-back vacation🏝️
Once you leave the train station, you can deeply feel the small-town vibe, but being by the sea really can cure all bad moods. For sisters preparing to go to Wanning, you can read this before deciding how to play🌊
❤️How to get to Wanning?
Wanning doesn't have an airport. You can take a high-speed train from Sanya Phoenix Airport/Haikou Meilan Airport/Qionghai Bo'ao Airport to 【Shenzhou Station】, which is closer to the various bay areas. The journey takes about 1h and costs 💰40+/person
🧡How to get around Wanning?
In Wanning, it's okay to take taxis or rent a car for local travel. I took taxis for my entire trip both times, which was quick and convenient. But make sure to call a taxi from a major platform for transparent pricing, and don't take unlicensed cabs!
🔹Small electric scooters can be used for short trips. It's pleasant to wander around the island and enjoy the sea breeze. Remember to bargain. There are also small 'bagga' cars and Snoopy ones that look nice but are expensive and not easy to ride, so you might just rent them for 1-2 hours for photos.
💛How to choose accommodation?
🔺For those on a low budget, such as students, choose Riyue Bay. There are many guesthouses, lots of people, and a lively atmosphere. There are many roadside specialty coffee shops, but the prices are a bit high (which is understandable for a tourist area, depending on your budget). There's fireworks and music at night, and a rich nightlife with young people drinking and clubbing. The hotel-style apartments on Sunac Artificial Island cost 200+/night during the off-season, but they are far from other attractions, and sometimes there's traffic congestion when leaving the island, with limited food options and no delivery service.
🔺For those pursuing hotel quality and with a sufficient budget, choose Shimei Bay or Shenzhou Peninsula. The sand is soft and the sea quality is good, more suitable for staying in a hotel. There are more dining options, fewer people, and it's quieter. Brands like Le Méridien, Westin, Sheraton, and Grand Hyatt are all located here.
💙What to note about attractions?
✔️The coconut palm road in Riyue Bay is beautiful, and many people rent convertibles to take photos here, but it's only a few hundred meters long and quite short. If you're not staying nearby or interested in taking photos, there's no need to make a special trip.
✔️The lighthouse on Shenzhou Peninsula is just an ordinary lighthouse that you can find by the sea. To get there, you have to walk about 2 kilometers on a dirt road. You can choose to ride the local villagers' tour car (💰20/person), rent an electric bike, or go directly to the Guanhai Pavilion for fun. It's best to go after 4 pm to avoid the scorching sun.

❣Travel suggestions
✨The main purpose of this trip is to have a laid-back vacation on the island. You can directly land in Haikou and then take a high-speed train for 1h to Wanning Shenzhou Station, or rent a car for a 2h drive around the island.
✨The best way to get around Wanning is to rent a car. It's convenient and comfortable. The coastal road is pleasant to drive on, and a regular car costs about 150 yuan/day.
✨Electric bikes are suitable for touring within the bay area. It's more cost-effective to rent a two-wheeler. Renting a three-wheeler for 1h for photos is enough. Remember to bargain.
✨The UV rays in Wanning are really strong. Equip yourself with sunglasses, sun-protective clothing, sun-protective masks, and umbrellas. Remember to reapply sunscreen.
✨About accommodation: If you have a sufficient budget, stay in Shimei Bay or Shenzhou Peninsula. If you're a student with a limited budget, consider Riyue Bay or Tianxin Village.

🔘Phoenix Jiuli Bookstore: It's just an ordinary seaside bookstore. There's not much to see, and the photos are pretty average.
