At the end of last month, I went on a one-day trip to Shenzhen with friends. Our first stop in the morning was the Shenzhen Museum Tongxin Road Branch (Ancient Art) located next to Lychee Park. We mainly visited the museum's latest permanent exhibition: Sit and Sleep: Shenzhen Museum's Bed and Couch Exhibition. This exhibition features over 100 exquisite beds and couches from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, including the museum's collection of Luohan beds, canopy beds, and bed cabinets. We were able to closely admire the meticulously crafted bed artifacts and learn about the craftsmanship of ancient Chinese beds, as well as the cultural and spiritual pursuits they embody. The related exhibits are currently on display in Exhibition Halls 1-4 at the Shenzhen Museum Tongxin Road Branch (Ancient Art), which is about a 10-minute walk from the Shenzhen Grand Theater subway station. Additionally, visitors can also explore other exhibitions in the museum, such as the seal exhibition, bronze exhibition, and ceramics exhibition.
