Tainan Shennong Street: A 300-year-old street that travels through time🏮
Today I’d like to introduce a must-visit and must-eat spot in Tainan—Shennong Street🟠🟡🟢🔵.
Shennong Street, which has a history of more than 300 years, is one of the best-preserved old streets in Tainan. In the past, Shennong Street was the main prosperous street in Wujiao Port Area, and it still retains many of the original architectural features.
In recent years, many old houses have been renovated and turned into gathering places for food, bars, homestays and cultural and creative stores, making Shennong Street a popular tourist attraction in Tainan🏮.
Various shops and stalls gather here, and trade activities are very active. It feels like walking in the streets of time, experiencing the charm of the fusion of the old and the new😎.
Handmade lanterns can be seen everywhere on the streets🏮, each pattern is unique and beautiful😍. Shennong Street not only has restaurants, but also coffee shops, bars, izakayas, cultural and creative stores and dessert shops🍮, which is very suitable for shopping✨.
Today we made a reservation at Wu Liu Shou Yakitori (restaurant information is included below). The whole restaurant is antique and the skewers are delicious. The beef belly and beef short ribs skewers are recommended. The chicken skewers are also good. There are also delicacies such as Mentaiko yam, grilled salmon belly, clam broth, stir-fried tofu and fried rice. Remember to book in advance, otherwise there may be no seats on site 😂. If you go to Tainan, I strongly recommend you to go to Shennong Street and enjoy the food and culture💕💕.
