Historic buildings
The mosque was built in 1602, and the construction project lasted for 17 years. It is located on the east side of Imam Square. The mosque was built by Abbas for his father-in-law, Lotfollah, a religious elder from Lebanon, and named after him. Later, it became a place of worship exclusively for the royal family, so no minaret was built here. Unlike other mosques, the decoration here is based on lemon yellow rather than blue. Since this mosque is exclusively used by the royal family, it is made of high-quality materials, and the decoration art is even more meticulously crafted. Every inch of the wall presents the nobility and style of the royal family. The floor of the prayer hall in the mosque is higher than Imam Square. Although the prayer hall is the same as the Imam Mosque, it is rotated 45° facing the Holy Land Mecca, but this change is not noticeable from the outside of the square.
