High Value-for-Money Southeast Asian Cuisine, Signature Laksa is My Favorite.
Restaurant: Kaya (Sha Tin)
Address: Shop 3008-3009, 3/F, Lucky Plaza, 1-15 Wang Pok Street, Sha Tin
Kaya has four branches in Hong Kong, located in Tuen Mun, Tseung Kwan O, North Point, and Sha Tin. As the name suggests, they specialize in Singaporean cuisine 🇸🇬, aiming to bring the authentic flavors of Southeast Asia to Hong Kong, offering traditional tastes with great value.
The Sha Tin Lucky Plaza branch has been open for nearly a year. The booth-style seating design makes it particularly comfortable and cozy 😌. The walls are adorned with various coconut tree 🌴 illustrations, easily reminding one of Singapore's signature dish made with coconut milk—Laksa 🍜.
✝️ Singapore Laksa $56
Kaya's signature dish, it's a hearty and substantial option for afternoon tea, especially at this price point 🤑. The laksa is topped with shrimp 🦐, half a soft-boiled egg 🥚, fish balls, fish slices, tofu puffs, bean sprouts, and water spinach. The noodles are a mix of oil noodles and rice noodles, enhancing the texture layers ⬆️. The coconut aroma combined with spices and a hint of spiciness 🌶️, with a squeeze of lime juice to elevate the freshness, makes this laksa a must-try 👍.
✝️ Avocado Five-Color Rice Paper Rolls $62
A healthy and delicious choice, each plate comes with six pieces. The thin and chewy rice paper wraps avocado, carrot 🥕, daikon, cucumber 🥒, and purple cabbage. While it might taste a bit dry on its own, dipping it in the accompanying mango sauce brings out a refreshing and sweet flavor 😋.
✝️ Malaysian Mango Juice with Mango Ice Cream +$12
This thirst-quenching and cooling mango specialty drink 🥭 combines mango juice with mango slush 🍧, topped with mango ice cream. The layered fresh and sweet mango flavor is hard to resist 🤤.

Support a Hong Kong-style family-run cha chaan teng.
Address - 3 On Kwan Street, Sha Tin
Environment/Facilities - Nicely decorated
Specialty - Small Hong Kong shop
Average price per person - $70
Rating - 7 out of 10
Recently, I went to Shek Mun in Sha Tin for work and took the opportunity to have dinner with my colleagues at this place. The entrance of Rainbow Cha Chaan Teng is quite eye-catching with its colorful decor. The interior space is not very large, but since it is newly opened, the overall place is relatively new and clean. It seems to be run by a family. As for the food, it is not much different from a typical cha chaan teng. The prices are reasonable, and the food quality is acceptable, though not outstanding. During dinner time, all customers receive a complimentary bowl of soup. Friends who haven't been there can give it a try.

The official communication languages of the park are English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). Hong Kong Disneyland features some unique attractions, two Disney-themed hotels, and a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment facilities.
✔️The Tsing Ma Bridge crosses the Ma Wan Strait and connects Tsing Yi and Ma Wan. It is one of the iconic buildings in Hong Kong. The Tsing Ma Bridge only has roadways and no sidewalks. Tourists cannot walk on the bridge for sightseeing. There is an observation deck at the Lantau Link Visitor Center located in the northwest section of Tsing Yi Island. This is the place to appreciate the Tsing Ma Bridge. Driving on the bridge, you can see the clear turquoise water on both sides, as well as the scattered small islands dotted on the sea, and you can even overlook the beautiful scenery of the green Lantau Island.
✔️Sam Shing Village Seafood Market: This is one of the famous seafood markets in Hong Kong. The seafood here is diverse and fresh. MacLehose Trail
Breaking the border state, Langqia Bay lazy hiking punch guide.
I've been wanting to come to MacLehose Trail for a long time!!!
The main reason for coming here is to see this beautiful scenery with my own eyes
But because I'm not a full-fledged hiker
So I chose a route that allows me to see the best scenery without being too tired😳
If you're like me, just want to enjoy the scenery, take some photos and hike by the way, you can refer to this itinerary👇
🚗Depart from Luohu or Futian port in the morning, take the East Rail Line to Sha Tin and get off
Then take a taxi to The cost is about 240💰
After getting off at Wan Yi Reservoir, you can check in at the first point, Breaking the Border State⛰️
There are two routes in Breaking the Border State
One is the official route, which is easier and safer to walk, but it takes more than an hour longer than the wild road🕛
We took the 'wild road'
I suggest you can also choose the wild road
⚠️Before the start of the wild road, there is a water channel-like road on the right facing the iron gate
It's easier to climb than the grey stones on the left, and it's a lot easier
I suggest going up on the right
Although there is a section of the road that requires climbing and using hands and feet
But the difficulty is not great, beginners are also ok👌
And it's really just a short section
Wear good climbing shoes, watch your feet, hold on well, there will be no problem~
After playing in Breaking the Border State
Return to the place where you got off
There is a restroom and a pavilion where you can rest
You can choose to have lunch in the pavilion, bring your own dry food🍞
After a good rest, you can set off for Langqia Bay🌊
Langqia Bay is the second section of the MacLehose Trail
It's also the most beautiful section~
It's about half an hour's walk from the pavilion
You need to go down a set of steps to get to the beach
The sea in Langqia Bay is very beautiful👍
It's very comfortable to take pictures, blow the wind and watch the sea here😌
After playing here, we started to go back, it was about five o'clock↔️
Walk back to the pavilion and take a taxi back to Sha Tin or your desired destination🚗
I suggest you can call a taxi in advance☎️
You can also wait for the uphill car at the pavilion
The master will generally require an additional 50💰 for downhill
Because it's far to go uphill and there are fewer cars
So it's more cost-effective for four people to take a taxi~
Personal suggestion: If you want to take this route, a large bottle of water is enough, too much is not finished and heavy, you don't need to bring too much food, just solve lunch, you can also bring some snacks😋
In short, this route will not be very hard, but it can achieve the purpose of hiking and enjoy the scenery, and you don't need to start too early~

Snoopy’s world
Not too big but popular with children and young people. Lots of places to take pictures with. No need to pay entry fee. Located inside shopping mall at shatin hongkong
There's also lots of replicas of your favorite characters to take pictures with.Easy to get to as it's just right outside New Town Mall. There are no food kiosks there besides a few vending machines so its best to bring your own food, otherwise the mall is just a few steps away with restaurants and bathrooms of course. Would definitely come back!

North Garden Children Playground
#timetotravel
At Shatin Park in Shatin, along the Shing Mun River, New Town of Shatin, near New Town Plaza, Shatin Town Hall and Shatin Public Library, there is a big area as play ground in the North. It’s a great place for family and pet on weekends to share fun activities together.
The man made hill side, with a lengthy slope going up, crawl under the cave through the other side and climbing the swirl stairs down from the Chinese pavilion.
Or sliding at one of the huge equipped children playground. Also a big green lawn for mini rugby or other activities with fun for both adults and the young ones.
Various outdoor and undercover seatings for those who just enjoy watching in serene and calm atmosphere of the beautiful garden or river’s view. #shatinpark #garden #shatin #本地遊 #passionpassport #tripblazers #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer #familyfunday #yuppijeinhk2023

SNOOPY'S WORLD
To get to Snoopy’s World you need to follow the signs for exit A to New Town Plaza when leaving Sha Tin Station. Once inside the mall, simply stay on the same level and walk directly across to the other side and out of the doors and you will be there – there are signs as well if you need them.
Snoopy’s World opens at 11:00am and as I arrived there about twenty minutes early, I killed some time taking photos around the entrance.

The Shack cafe
If you are familiar with Tai Wai Tian Xin Village and Platform The new opening will not be difficult for The Shack, I believe. Because it's all about the Platform, it's not far from the village and it's both neighbors. The menu is mainly based on light croissants croffle / Kebab wraps / salad.
The decoration of the house is simple, and the seatings are not too many. The old and the young are also quite talkative and easy to get along with customers. The small shop has both feelings and human touch, it is so simple.

Boyfriend's first birthday event - Kakao Talk theme room! As soon as I walked in, I felt so comfortable. The big Ryan was lying on the bed and it was super cute! These dolls and decorations are on the price list and can't be taken away.
It's like a paper coaster that you can take away. Even the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, the water, and the toilet have Kakao stickers.

New Style Singapore-Malaysia-Thai Restaurant.
TOSS Summa Summa (Sha Tin)
Shop 107, 1/F, Phase 1, New Town Plaza, 18 Sha Tin Centre Street, Sha Tin
Signature Bak Kut Teh $178
Filled with large pieces of pork ribs, enough for two people. The meat is very tender, easily separating from the bone with a light bite. The broth is made with various Chinese herbs, providing a refreshing and sweet aftertaste, warming the body and very smooth. A little sauce makes it perfect with white rice.
Special Spicy Ban Mian $83
Looks a bit like Singapore's New Year dish Yu Sheng, topped with various ingredients including egg yolk, sambal sauce, minced meat, scallions, dried anchovies, and crispy bits. Mix all the ingredients together for a rich, savory taste and a very satisfying texture. The portion is generous and unforgettable.
Dinosaur Egg (Cold) $48
The name is very intriguing, so I ordered it to try. It's Milo with chocolate ice cream. The Milo is very rich, and with the chocolate ice cream, it's a must-try for chocolate lovers. It won't disappoint.
Pandan Coconut Ice $48
It has a green appearance. I like the taste of pandan, so it's easy to drink with a pandan flavor and a hint of mint. There are sago pearls inside, making it fun to chew while drinking.

Enjoy Dim Sum at Sha Tin Plaza
Restaurant: Enjoy Dim Sum (Sha Tin)
Address: Shop 7A-7B, G/F, Sha Tin Plaza, 21-27 Sha Tin Centre Street, Sha Tin
Sha Tin Plaza has a dim sum restaurant called Enjoy Dim Sum, which has been open for about two months. Next to it is a sister dessert shop where you can enjoy a variety of Chinese and Western desserts after your meal 🍧. It's the perfect place to hang out with friends, have dinner, and then slowly enjoy dessert while chatting 😜. The best part is that there's a grand opening promotion: after 2 PM, buy three dim sum and get one free 🎊.
Start with a sip of hot tea 🫖. Tea costs $8 per person. We chose a corner seat. The ambiance is different from typical tea houses, with wooden decor giving it a classic feel. However, since the dim sum restaurant is located on the ground floor of the plaza, the wooden pillar design outside creates a spacious feel, but people passing by the mall can look in, which reduces privacy a bit 🙈.
✝️ Signature Shrimp Dumplings (3 pieces) $38
These can definitely be described as having thin skin and delicious filling 😍. When you bite into the thin shrimp dumpling skin, you see fresh shrimp and shrimp paste. The crispy and sweet shrimp meat is truly irresistible.
✝️ Signature Shrimp Siu Mai (3 pieces) $36
In addition to the pork flavor, there's an extra layer of shrimp flavor 🦐, and the fresh crab roe on top adds multiple layers of freshness, showing the chef's dedication ❤️.
✝️ Honey BBQ Pork Rice Rolls $36
The translucent rice rolls are tender and fragrant with rice 👍. They are filled with a generous amount of honey BBQ pork and green onions. They taste great even without soy sauce.
✝️ Signature Baked BBQ Pork Buns (3 pieces) $38
This is a must-try 😎. The crispy and sweet snow mountain bun skin wraps around the rich and sweet honey BBQ pork, creating a delightful contrast in texture and flavor. You could easily eat several of these 😆.
✝️ Jujube and Chicken Rice $46
The portion is quite large, enough to fill 4-5 bowls of rice 🍚. The chicken is tender and flavorful, not tough, and has a fresh chicken aroma. Steamed with red dates and goji berries, it's even healthier. However, the rice could be more flavorful 😗.
✝️ Yam and Monkey Head Mushroom Soup $42
A nourishing and delicious soup with plenty of ingredients, including monkey head mushrooms, pork ribs, carrots, corn, and yam. It's naturally sweet and doesn't taste like it has added MSG. It's soothing for the throat and warms the stomach. Soup lovers will be delighted 😌.

Sha Tin Centre, Hong Kong: An affordable commercial district on the Kowloon Peninsula, a great choice for visitors!
Sha Tin is located on the northeastern side of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong, and is the necessary route from Hong Kong Island and Tsim Sha Tsui to Sai Kung. Since Sha Tin is relatively far from the main urban areas of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, its prosperity is slightly less. However, the affordable accommodation and dining have become a good choice for tourists visiting Hong Kong, especially those on the Kowloon Peninsula. If you are traveling to Sai Kung or the MacLehose Trail, choosing Sha Tin is the best option, as it not only offers more convenient transportation but also lower food and lodging expenses.
1. Attractions: Sha Tin Centre is not much different from other important areas in Hong Kong, with scenes reminiscent of Hong Kong movies everywhere, and the surrounding environment is also very good. There are many parks, large and small, where you can relax and exercise at the same time, experiencing the atmosphere of a relaxed life in a bustling metropolis.
2. Transportation: Sha Tin has excellent transportation, with three MTR East Rail Line stations named 'Sha Tin', 'Fo Tan', and 'University', and four MTR Tuen Ma Line stations named 'Che Kung Temple', 'Sha Tin Wai', 'City One', and 'Shek Mun'. Most Kowloon buses pass through Sha Tin, such as the frequently used KMB routes 81K, 88K, 83K, and 280X.
3. Nearby attractions: Sha Tin is well-located with many important attractions in the area, such as Che Kung Temple, Lion Rock Country Park, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Sha Tin Town Hall, Coca-Cola Museum, Wu Kai Sha Beach, and Sha Tin Centre Plaza, among others.
4. Accommodation: Compared to other areas in Hong Kong, accommodation in Sha Tin is truly affordable, with larger room sizes, better spatial layout, and more budget-friendly room rates. Shan Ye Jun stayed at a five-star hotel in Sha Tin for 800 Hong Kong dollars per night, with a room size of 35 square meters. If you choose a three-star or comfortable standard hotel, the room rate can be controlled within 300 Hong Kong dollars.
5. Dining: Like accommodation, the catering industry in Sha Tin is also affordable. The consumption level of many mid-to-high-end restaurants is similar to that of the mainland, with a lot of them averaging 150 yuan per person. Ordinary tea restaurants have an average consumption as low as 40 Hong Kong dollars per person, which is rare in all regions of Hong Kong, making dining in Sha Tin very cost-effective.

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery: A Spring 2024 Destination
Located in Pai Tau Village behind Man Fat Sze in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery was established in the 1950s. The complex is not just a single temple, but comprises five temples, four pavilions, and one pagoda, including the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall, Amitabha Hall, Guanyin Hall, Cundi Hall, Jade Emperor Hall, Ten Thousand Buddhas Pagoda, Guanyin Pavilion, Wei Tuo Pavilion, and the Eighteen Arhats Corridor. Be prepared to climb up 430 steps and a steep path up the hill. Along the way, you'll pass dozens of life-sized golden Buddha statues until you reach the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall. Although named the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, there are actually about 12,800 Buddha statues of various sizes here. Additionally, this site houses the only painted statue of the preserved body of Reverend Yuet Kai in Hong Kong, which is now enshrined in the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall. 👍👍👍

Besides taking photos with the ducks and checking in, there are several other spots around
1️⃣ The promising Li Ka-shing model
On the Avenue of Stars, just across from the Star Ferry
I've attached the check-in map at the back
2️⃣ Harbour City Seaview
You should have seen it many times, one is the long staircase, by the Star Ferry
There's also the Eslite bookstore seaview window
3️⃣ Star Ferry
Taking the ferry is cheaper than the subway and a different experience, you can use the Octopus card, 6.5 HKD/adult
4️⃣ Sunflower 🌻 field
Right under the Ferris wheel, there's a camp activity going on recently
Lots of hunky guys with six-pack abs

Ma On Shan's Affordable Hong Kong-style Cuisine
Ma On Shan area has an increasing variety of food options, and this restaurant offers good food at friendly prices. The fish maw chicken Huai Shan noodle is $86, the Huai Shan noodle feels healthy, with large pieces of fish maw and quite smooth chicken. Plus, for an additional $38, you get a drink, snack, and dessert. I chose the refreshing green grape soda for an extra $5, the fried fish fillets are delicious 😋 The peanut mochi is smoky and chewy, filled with peanut bits.
The grouper rice noodle is $92 with a special pickled vegetable fish soup, slightly sour and very appetizing, with a clear and fragrant fish soup base. Add $28 for a drink and snack, the cold-brewed Si Ji Chun tea for an extra $5 is fragrant and thirst-quenching, and the thick soup with seasonal vegetables also has goji berries. Finally, I casually ordered the salt and pepper chicken as a snack, the skin is fried to a golden crisp, and the chicken is juicy.
The restaurant has plenty of large seats, it's simple to have a rich meal.

Citywalk in Sha Tin, Hong Kong
The Hong Kong Heritage Museum, with its exterior designed in the traditional Chinese quadrangle style, has a total of 5 floors. The museum includes exhibition halls such as the New Territories Heritage Museum, the Hong Kong Cantonese Opera Museum, the Children's Discovery Museum, and other cultural and artistic comprehensive exhibition halls.
The Jin Yong Gallery is a permanent exhibition hall themed on Mr. Jin Yong, displaying collections related to Jin Yong and narrating his martial arts world. Here, you can revisit the classic works of martial arts novels.
The Bruce Lee Memorial Exhibition, Bruce Lee is a legendary figure in Chinese Kung Fu, who pioneered Chinese Kung Fu films. His classic works 'Enter the Dragon' and 'Fists of Fury' are unforgettable, and Bruce Lee's spirit of perseverance and indomitability is admirable.
The environment around the Heritage Museum is beautiful, with shady trees, small bridges and flowing water, presenting a cultural and artistic atmosphere.
Near the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Sha Tin, there is a small pier called Ma Liu Shui Pier. The pier is not famous, but from here you can take a boat to a small island in the outlying islands - Tap Mun Island. Tap Mun Island is well-known among outdoor enthusiasts for its pristine natural environment and beautiful scenery, and is a must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts.
The boat departures here are relatively few, and when I came, I had already missed the time.
The scenery of the pier is eye-catching, far away from the city, very quiet. The endless sea, under the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds, appears even more azure. Although I didn't catch the boat, sitting on the chairs on the pier, basking in the sun and daydreaming is also good.
The New Town Plaza at Sha Tin Station is a relatively large shopping mall in the New Territories, which you can visit along the way.
