2023 first trip!
2023 first trip, Hong Kong tour!
●Qiaozui Island
View the Sai Kung Sea from the Sai Kung Pier.
It is a scattered archipelago of islands.
Nature and time are for every island.
Each has nurtured its own unique culture, history, and stories. The Sai Kung Sea Art Festival uses art creation as a medium to create a "Sai Kung Sea Art Festival", where islands, seas, and art meet.
What kind of sparks will collide?
This time, due to time constraints, we only went to Qiaozu Island. On Qiaozu Island, you will see three art works:
Sunshine on the Moon Shadow:
[Moonrise in Daylight]
This is the artwork we have been most looking forward to on this trip because the photos we saw online were all too beautiful.
The work is made of bamboo and rattan, consisting of 12 moons in different shapes, symbolizing the ebb and flow of the tide from new moon to full moon.
And the laws of nature and intangible time.
Just like the impermanence of life.
Everything depends on the right timing, location, people and circumstances.
Just like the arrival of the full moon realm!
Ocean says
[Ocean Says]
Large conch-shaped metal sculptures created in geometric language collect and amplify the sound of the sea in the form of conch.
Besides giving people the opportunity to appreciate the ocean in detail.
More eager to ponder on how insignificant our role is in nature.
The ocean belongs to countless lives and humans should strive to protect it!
Big Pineapple Game
Pineapple bun is one of the representative foods in Hong Kong, and the Pineapple Bun Rock is also a landmark geological feature in the Kowloon Peninsula, spanning 140 million years of history.
Inspired by the story of Hong Kong and pineapple buns, as well as the Pineapple Bun Rock, a series of adorable ceramic figurines are scattered along the Bridge Tsui Country Trail, making it feel like a treasure hunt with the hope of encountering the next surprise around every corner.
We spent most of our time on the Bridgehead Island suburban hiking trail, and the scenery along the way was breathtaking!
Walking and stopping along the way will take about 2 hours.
How to purchase a boat ticket:
If you are going to Yantianzi and Qiaozhuzhou, you can buy island hopping ferry tickets on the official website of the Sai Kung Sea Art Festival. If you only want to go to one of the islands, you can buy tickets directly at the Sai Kung New Public Pier!
If you want to see the art piece "Moonlight Under the Sun" recently, you need to arrive at Qiaozhuzhou in the morning. Otherwise, you won't have a chance to see it when the tide rises. You can also check the time of the tide in advance. Therefore, I would suggest going to Qiaozhuzhou first before going to Yantianzi. And if you want to visit both islands, you can't spend too much time on the suburban path of Qiaozhuzhou!
